Can anyone tell me more about Cybertronians? Your history, your culture, how you came to be?

I think it's prudent to get to know everyone here as we may be in this for the proverbial "long run".

Uncertain, but I know of at least three, including my own. Four confirmed by taking into account where I was before appearing here. [Jetfire pauses, resting his chin on one hand as he thinks back on what he spotted while flying over the Junk Pile that first day, as well as what he's seen on the network so far.]

But I do think there's more than that, as some individuals I've spotted have a vastly different design compared to what I'm used to, and ah, then there's the issue that some might have a very similar design to what I'm used to, but still not be from the same reality as myself.

Ah, that... Well. [Jetfire shakes his helm, but he doesn't actually decline to answer.] The earliest parts are lost, either due to simple passage of time, or because it's been deliberately obscured, hard to know which.

But it's said that in the beginning, there were the First Thirteen... And some of the names match very well with some of our... ah, hosts. [He's still... trying to accept that. If that's true, what else is?] Much of the later history has been defined by the uprising of the Decepticons, and while it does seem their leader, Megatron, was at least somewhat correct when it comes to our previous government's potential corruption... [The previously rather cool expression hardens somewhat.]

He talked of power and taking whatever we wanted, where we wanted, to do what we wanted... and while that was certainly seductive for some, in the end that mean the conquering and subjugation of other species, which can't, and shouldn't, be tolerated.

[How do you distill millions of years of history and conflict into something brief? Jetfire hums in thought, optics dimming slightly.]

The Matrix is a vessel, strictly observably a vessel for an energy of as-of-yet unknown properties, but which stirs spark energies in cybertronian frames, igniting a spark and allowing the individual to start life.

[It was also supposed - said - to be so much more, but better and easier to talk about what was definitely known and observed.]

An entire race of robotic beings... creating life on their own.

[Give him a moment, he has a hard time grasping that, having been only given sentience by the persistence of one little boy treating him like a human being.]

As for the Destrons and Cybertrons... [Excuse him, he means Decepticons and Autobots... must be a translation error.]

I suppose I'll want to get more personal accounts. I want to be able to put the big picture together, and as much as it perturbs me to admit: the Brave Police seem like the odd ones out here as far as... species.

It puts us at a disadvantage.

I'm Jetfire, and as for a more personal account... [Here then, Jetfire shakes his helm, a wash of static escaping him.]

Before the war, I was a scientist. I would maintain that is what I am still, but I've had to - unfortunately - adapt. Certain parts of the Decepticon philosophy spoke to me in regards of my chosen function and profession, but as the conflict developed and grew, I realized I...

[A shrug.]

Couldn't, and wouldn't, do what was being asked for us, and regardless of what I was leaving behind, I couldn't condone their methods, or the brute-force taking of both our own planet, and the intention of growing beyond and doing the same elsewhere.

[He could... go into even more detail, but something Deckerd had said caught his interest, and he inclines his helm in curiosity.]

Disadvantage? Mmm, depends on how you mean, if you'd care to elaborate? I think there's just about the same amount of organics around, and considering where we are, it doesn't surprise me there's more cybertronians around, as the odds would give preference to those... hm, attuned, I suppose you could say...

But that might not be what you intended?

[Deckerd hums and nods]

It seems like a really tough situation on your planet. [He knows he doesn't sound terribly intelligent compared to this guy, but who would? He also wonders if their own planet could possibly fall to the same fate if left unchecked...]

Well- I mean just as far as knowledge goes. Then again, to some measure, we're all in the dark here.

Are there? Ive only seen two humans here so far.

Despite the fact that the fighting led to Cybertron... ah, the one in my reality, shutting down, it's also endured beyond that, and is alive and well, despite all that has been done on and around it.

[Which he was thankful for. He'd dreaded having to return from Operation: Containment and find it cold and still... Which, admittedly, he would have had he returned earlier and not gotten stuck on what turned out to be Earth.]

This is a pretty exceptional situation, yes. [Jetfire chuckled and shrugged.] And yes... I saw at least more than two on the day we all arrived, flying over the junk pile.

[The smile from earlier disappeared in a frown, however, as he continued.]

It seemed the majority of them were children, though.

[The only reason he hadn't landed, was that all of them had been accompanied by someone when he'd seen them, which he considered good enough. At least they hadn't been alone.]

I-

Most of them were children?

[A beat.]

Did you happen to see a young boy with dark hair? Wearing yellow?

[He pauses, helm tilting and optics dimming as he brings up the brief glipses of the human children he'd spotted, reviewing the memory files.]

... Ah, one of them was a young boy with dark hair, yes... Wearing yellow and orange on his upper body.

[Nevermind that Jetfire actually saw Raf, but he doesn't know that's not who Deckerd is looking for.]

Did you speak to him?

[Deckerd suddenly seems fairly urgent.]

Ah, no... I didn't. He, like all of the other children, already had someone keeping an optic on him, which seemed good enough considering the situation.

[He shakes his helm, feeling somewhat sorry for having to say he hadn't talked to the child.]

You know him, I take it?

Hmmm...

[Well... why wouldn't have someone told him? Maybe it's not.]

Perhaps. Where did you see him last?

Unfortunately, not since I spotted him at the Junk Pile when we arrived. I'd give you the temple he's residing in if I knew.

I apologize for not being of any further help.

[Because if it was the child Deckerd knew, it'd be good if two peope who knew it each could be brought back together.]

I hope you find him. We're scattered enough as it is, that it would be preferable if those who actually know each other could reunite.
