[The video clicks on as Rung settles on the edge of his bed, looking much better than he had previously--at least more put together and collected. Without the constant ache in his head, he's been able to settle a bit more though the whole..feel of this place still isn't all that comforting. Not yet at least. Doesn't help that he's been both upsetting and helping others it seems.]
I figured it might be wise for me to officially offer my services, so to speak, to everyone currently taking residence here since I seem to already be working myself back into the practice. As some of you know, I am a psychiatrist and, as such, am more than willing to sit down with anyone that may need it and just listen and offer advice.
[He pauses, fingers tapping against the edge of the bed as Rung glances down momentarily, considering something before he glances up once more with a faint smile.]
I suppose the first thing to establish would be a potential space I could use for such a practice, if anyone has any suggestions for that sort of thing.

[In her case, mostly trying to prove to herself she's not Starscream.]
But why should you completely discount associations? There are going to be comparisons. There has to be some measure they're proving their self against.
Well, how do you work?
It's not like I'm some psychiatry expert, but isn't that the opposite of what psychiatrists are supposed to do?
[Autobots are crazy! She is giving him a really curious look.]
[He pauses for a moment before shaking his head.]
But coming off as an emotionless, blank slate to those that you're trying to help doesn't seem to work quite as well. To allow them to see that I am just the same as them, that I have my fair share of emotions, helps them realize that their own aren't that uncommon I suppose. Do I get emotionally invested? I try not to, because that is when things become complicated. But I do try to connect with my patients in some way.
That's a lot of responsibility, to help others deal with their more troublesome emotional subroutines. It must be difficult to balance showing your own feelings, with maintaining authority and trust.
[Because he has to be abusing his power, right? She really doesn't get it, otherwise.]
Complicated. Working with vulnerable patients. Alone?
[And it seemed to work with most considering he'd gotten through to bots like Whirl.]
Yes, complicated. And why wouldn't I work with them alone?
[Frowns a bit in a confused way.]
[She's convinced the psychiatrist is a creeper! How does he not see it? She's not the one seeing things here, right?]
[Rung stared at the seeker like she was a bit crazy.]
Are you implying that I would start a relationship with one of my patients simply because I allowed myself to show emotion towards them to make them feel more comfortable around me?
And you were the one talking about connection and feelings!
Ask your patients, why don't you?
That's not what I meant, at all! Just because I want to connect with someone doesn't mean relationship wise! You can connect with others without having any sort of deep relationship!
Bots in a vulnerable emotional state. They might become attached to anyone who pays attention. [Could explain a few things about Starscream, if true.]
[He shifts a bit, a few names going through his head before he ex-vents softly.]
The majority of what I did was working with potential Wreckers members, evaluating their mental state and if they would be a good fit for the team. I had a few constant patients but they were bots that sincerely just needed help getting over various things or needed someone to listen as they talked about horrible experiences. You can think what you like of my practice but it won't change how I do things or the fact that I want to help everyone I can.
[She's thinking, again, of Starscream: how he came up in the Decepticon faction, fought alongside Megatron, and then became obsessed with overthrowing his rule. Not romantic, or even a positive form of recreation, but it surely worked out their stress and aggression.]
'Relationship' doesn't have to be romantic, right? There could be some kind of dependance between the two, or obsessive feelings.
[She's just thinking of Starscream here. No one else is obsessed with proving their self, or surpassing their commanding officer!]
[Not that Rung had ever done that sort of thing but he wasn't about to say that to Slipstream.]
The Wreckers an Autobot team? [She hasn't forget the mention; she just got sidetracked.] Can't say if we have any of them. [Because she really doesn't know.] Probably dead or on Cybertron. [Which is pretty much the same difference to her.]
[If not full of causalities and always changing their roster.]
But factions don't really matter to me anymore, all things considered, so that's a null point anymore.
The whole history bots fight about hasn't happened, yet. [Shrug.] Not trying to get into the temporal mechanics. But, you know?
