[Video | Solus Prime's Temple]

[The video clicks on, showing Bulkhead. He's tired, but trying to hide it. Even if it's not working too well. There are a few moments of silence before he speaks up.]

This is Bulkhead, checking in. [If robots could sound out of breath, he certainly would. He also sounds a little tired.]

Some guy in a robe already filled me in on what's going on. Heh kind of strange to be back on Cybertron. [There's a slight sound of metal scraping against something solid, before he settles again.]

Ratchet, Optimus? Arcee, Bumblebee? Are you here?

Are you hurting, at all? Just feeling tired?

[She didn't want to worry him by asking about the damage from Hardshell and the Tox-en if he didn't already know about it. But she needed to know if he had been through that.]

[To tell her or not. Because he didn't want to worry her either. But she would already know anyway...right?]

Other than waking up here after I was in the med bay. I'm still...tired from you makin' me walk and my legs still hurt.

[That wasn't exactly what she thought she would hear. Making him walk wasn't something she remembered, at all. She didn't think he was lying, but did that mean he was recovering when he got pulled from, instead of still badly injured like she had seen?]

I made you walk? Bulk, the last time I saw you, you were laying in the medbay. We were lucky you were still alive.

[Optics widen a little at that.]

A-after the thing with Hardshell? With the artifact? [A slight pause, shaking his head.]

I don't even remember getting back to base after that. Next thing I knew, I was wakin' up in the medical bay. You...were asleep on my chest plate. Doc said I'd been in stasis for a week or two. A few days later, he told me I oughtta be gettin' up and startin' recovery. You...got involved. You were tryin' to get me to walk for the first time since wakin' up, before Ratchet took me to the bay to rest. Than I'm wakin' up here.

Yeah, Hardshell had got you bad and the Tox-En was making it harder for you. I snuck on to Wheeljack's ship and convinced him to take me along to get back at Hardshell. When I got back you were stabilized, and I fell asleep on your chest, then I woke up here again.

I thought had gott4en rid of him and the Tox-en, threw them into a lava pit. But Hardshell must've climbed back out when I was headed for the bridge.

[He goes silent as he listens.]

Wait, you and him...went after Hardshell? [Shock and worry override his tiredness for the moment.]

Yeah, Hardshell survived, I didn't hear anything about the Tox-en being recovered though.

[She says the name of the Insecticon as if it were a curse word all it's own.]

I did... I thought maybe I wouldn't... I don't know, wouldn't be so upset at myself that it happened, something. But it didn't, I just... did something stupid, again.

Well, guess it's good about the Tox-en.

[He's silent as he tries to process it.]

You...were okay, right?

Yeah, Wheeljack made sure I was safe.

[Well not the whole time, that time in the mine had been pretty scary, but he had protected her in the end.]

I'm almost there now.

Good, you didn't need to be dealin' with that insecticon.

[If Hardshell nearly took out him, he doesn't want to think of what he might have done to Miko.]

Uh, I'm in Jackie's room now, he's lettin' me bunk with him.

[She decides not to mention just yet that she was the one who fired the rockets that took Hardshell out in the end.]

Can I come in and see you?

[She really needs to see him in person, to reassure herself that it is him and that he is at least recovering.]

Of course, why couldn't you?

[Her and Wheeljack are on good terms, aren't they?

I just wanted to make sure you weren't looking to just rest or something.

[She waited for the door to open and stepped inside. Looking up at him she couldn't help but feel ready to cry.]

And not make time to see my best bud?

[He's perched on the berth as he comes in, looking down as she approaches. One servo braced to keep himself upright. He's in one piece, if rough shape. Optics a little paler and dimmer then she's used to, but they brighten a little at the sight of her.]

Miko.. [He leans forward to offer his free hand down to her.]

I didn't want to bother you if you were already resting.

[When his free hand is lowered she rushes forward, clinging onto it and giving him a hug as best she can.]

I missed you Bulkhead.

Don't worry about it, I always got time for ya.

[It feels odd having her happy to see him. His last memory of her back home is of her being a drill sergeant, and being frustrated over his progress. He wraps at least one of his fingers around her.]

I know, I wish...I could say the same. [Which makes him feel a little guilty.]

[She looks up at him and gives him a grin, hoping to make him feel better.]

Hard to miss someone you just saw a little bit ago. It's alright.

[Go ahead and take the excuse Bulkhead.]

At least I haven't been completely alone here, Wheeljack has been doing a good job of watching me while you weren't here. And I've made some friends.

Yeah, I just saw ya not that long ago.

[He'll take the excuse, it works for him.]

He hasn't been puttin' ya in danger, has he? [It's a small streak of protectiveness over her, after what she told him. He trusts Wheelack, but...]

He's been keeping me safe, promise.

[At least as much as anyone can, but it had been Wheeljack who came out and found her when she got lost.]

I just... I missed you, he's not the same as you, and that's alright, but you are my best friend.

Heh, good to hear.

[A part of him wants to pick her up so badly, but he doesn't trust himself at the moment. He could barely hold himself up to get here.

His expression softens as a small smile comes on his mouth.]

I'm here now, I aint goin' anywhere.

[She takes a moment to look around before finding an easy place to climb up.]

I'm glad, and I'm so happy to see you awake.
