[Video][Broadcasting in front of the Police HQ, Prima's quadrant]
[The video begins with an image of the just-finished Police Headquarters. It's a reasonably steady picture, though the jostling indicates that the user is holding his communications badge like a camera to get the shot.]

This is McCrane.
I have completed construction on the Police Headquarters, with the secondary station in Megatronus Prime's quadrant nearly complete as well. A complete walk-through of the facilities is available for authorized individuals below:
[The camera flips up to show McCrane's face, a look of intense concentration cemented there as he attempts a few encryptions before the feed cuts out.]
[Locked to the Police Force and the Police Committee, Prima, and Vector Prime.]
[The feed resumes as McCrane tours the police station, showing everything as it is described here, talking about the purpose of each room as he goes to make sure everyone is on the same page. He spends particular time with the jail cells for the benefit of the Firstforged, explaining how they work. He's even gone so far as to have Whirl inside the cell playing the part of the virtual 'prisoner,' going over how occupants will be fed and how they'll be detained while the helicopter makes lewd gestures in the background. That doesn't seem to phase McCrane one bit, however, as he opens Whirl's cell door in the middle of some pelvic thrusting and moves on into the main office.]
Are there any preferences for which desk goes to whom?
[It's the only question he asks before panning past Whirl writing something on the whiteboard, and moving on into the last room of the HQ.]
[McCrane makes the broadcast public once more, showing the wide expanse of individual cells (in both human and giant-robot size) that constitute the firing range.]
This part, finally, is accessible to the public. Given the nature of the previous attacks, I feel it is important for civilians to have a means of protecting themselves, and also feel that it is important for them to understand the right procedures for doing so.
[In the background, one can see Whirl giving a shooting 'demonstration,' which would be significantly more demonstrative if he weren't just pointing his fingers at the targets and shouting 'boom,' boom.']
If anyone wishes to join me for these lessons, I'll be here daily from noon until two.
Cybertronian time.
[He thinks that's right.]
On another note, is there anyone available who is proficient at video games?

Were you in the military? [Because with 'opponent' and such, it sounds like you were. You also talk a bit like Seia...]
No, sir, there aren't. There should not be a need for a large Police Force.
However, I suspect we double as a defense force in this case, which there is a need for. [With monsters falling from the sky and all.] In times of non-emergency, however, I think most of us have secondary jobs.
Once; I was a Captain in special forces for the United States. Lately I've been... well. It's complicated. [There's really no easy way to explain being in the military of a country that hasn't had a military since the Cold War because you did something stupid fifty years ago.]
I hope there isn't. Then again, you never can tell right off the bat.
I've heard that there are issues sometimes though I'm afraid I've missed out so far. [Then again, that's probably a good thing; his test runs with the TMD have not been up to his normal standards.] Secondary jobs, huh?
That explains a lot. Do you have a preferred title of address? [He's made in Japan. This is obviously the most important question.]
I'm glad you've been filled in on the monster situation. I have a few ideas on how to prepare for future waves, which I'd like to begin implementing. [Emergency bunkers, traps, etc...] My construction skills have been in more demand than my police skills so far--that would give me a way to utilize both.
Captain Renko. Or just Renko is fine, too. I'm not too picky.
I'm glad someone has some ideas on defense against attacks - and I'm assuming experience with the sorts of things that attack. And well. Everything around here is just getting started, isn't it? It makes sense that construction skills would be in higher demand. [It's mostly about survival right now.]
Captain Renko. It is a pleasure to meet you.
And thank you, once more. [He likes you. You keep pointing out the stuff he's good at.] This is nearly exact to the job I held before--including the unexpected battles and the construction. With, perhaps, an emphasis on the construction. I assume you have skills beyond combat, as well?
And it's a pleasure to meet you too. You said your name is McCrane?
[He did have to assess his soldiers' strengths and weaknesses when he was building his forces; he's developed a little bit of a knack for it.] Unfortunately I don't have much skill outside of combat situations, aside from leading troops. Soldiering has kind of been my career. Though I've picked up a little science here and there. [And more quantum and theoretical physics that he would have liked to.]
And it is. [He reaches up, tapping the crane arm over his shoulder.] We were allowed to name ourselves shortly after activation. [It had a much better ring to it than BP-301.]
Protection was a full-time career for you, then? [It would actually be useful to have that on their force...]
Huh. Getting to name yourself is a pretty rare privilege. But it's definitely an appropriate moniker for you, from the looks of it.
It was. Regular forces until special forces picked me up for my skillset. Thought I doubt my knowledge of Russian will come in handy here much. [He's being modest, really.]
