[Video] [Transmission from: Solian Temple] - Third Offense

I've got good news for you folks living in Solus Prime's temple. I'm not gonna be banging around at all hours anymore.

[The video pops on to show Barricade's newly-finished room ~~minus the clothes, of course~~, complete with a washrack. And there is Barricade too, looking so proud of himself.]

Now that that's done.

[DOWN TO BUSINESS. This is Barricade's serious face.]

I know we're pretty much rollin' in medics around here, but if any of you need repairs, you c'n comm me. I'm well-versed in most timestream's frame variations and the majority of typical frame types. Even worked on a few triple-changes before. And if you're interested in unusual upgrades, come have a chat with me. We might be able t'work something out.

Also gonna offer my construction skills. Seems like we need a few more builders here, and if you're looking for proof of my skills--

[He waves behind him at his quarters with a flourish.]

[Shockwave turns to ~~loom~~ face Barricade, peering down at him.]

Which would be why I preferred to get the data from him. And now there is little else to do in my spare time.

[Barricade does not seem overly put off by Shockwave's height or ~~looking~~ peering, and in fact straightens up slightly.]

You'll get used to it, I'm sure.

Oh, you know. Blown off by grenades and I had to reconstruct them myself. The joints stick more than they should, ache more than they oughta.

[Obviously, Barricade. Really do you think he'd listen to another one?]

[He takes a seat as instructed.]

And which Megatron would I suddenly change my loyalties for?

[Shockwave takes his own seat, and begins looking over Barricade's legs]

I couldn't say; 's a choice every Decepticon might have t'face themselves, but it's never the same for everybot.

[Barricade watches Shockwave intently, but is otherwise still.]

It is doubtful that I would betray ours.

[He may not agree with everything Megatron's done, or his orders at times, but he'd known the bot for vorns. Old friends of a sort, and he'd given his loyalty. He'd die under Megatron's command eventually. when the time came.

Claws slip through plating, testing the joint and watching for any reactions. Just where exactly causes pain, what he could possibly do, and a few things that he'd store for possible use.]

'S not always a matter of betrayal. They aren't always working at cross-purposes to one another. And sometimes folks lose their leaders but still want a little direction from someone vaguely familiar.

[Or they already know how things are going to end up and need a change from that.

Barricade doesn't attempt to hide his reactions to the prodding and manipulation, at least. Most of the pain is in bending the knees themselves; the gears there had been partially stripped and were not a perfect fit to begin with. Barricade had just worked with what he could at the time.]

They would not be the same, it is unlikely to happen.

[At least it's unlikely for him to do it, it's still too close to betrayal for him.]

When was the last time you worked on these?

Figured as much.

[He's not entirely crazy, after all, and Shockwave's stuck by their Megatron this long.]

A while back. Few months, maybe.

It would be foolish of you to expect different. What tools did you use?

Luckily I don't.

Whatever I could get ahold of. Didn't exactly have normal access to normal tools.

[His claws and flails and rifles count as tools, right?]

[No Barricade, no they don't.]

Do I get specifics, or am I supposed to guess?

Whatever I had on hand- [And he rotates out one of the flails and then one of his rifles for emphasis.] -and whatever someone could fish out of the Junkyard on the station. Wrenches, hammers, what have you. Got help from a couple Lensmeters too.

[He did what he could with what he had, which was only so much. But the repairs held up longer than he expected, what with him hauling someone roughly his size and heavier than him on his shoulders across the station.]

[He's surprised Barricade could actually walk considering what was used. Lensmeter assistance or not.]

Complete reworking would be best for them. Amazing they've worked for you this long.

I don't make bad repairs. Regardless of what I've gotta use to do them.

[Heck, he's used nothing but his on-board weapons for a lot of repairs and rarely have his patients complained about it.]

Of course not, Barricade.

[Cade you may pretty much be a medic, but Shockwave does not think well of these repairs in the slightest. Nor does he care what the lower ranked 'Cons think of your work.]

Well what would you have done, Shockwave?

[They can't all be up to Shockwave's standards. Especially when it's all "learn on the fly". Medic was never actually Barricade's vocation of choice, it just sort of... happened.]

Used something more suitable for the job.

[Obviously.]

And if you didn't have anything like that?

[Just out of curiosity.]
