[With everything that had been going on, Rung's head hadn't stopped aching for days now it seemed. And then there was the white noise, the noise that made it all far worse and it was getting to the point that he could barely focus. Because not only did the ache make it hard to focus, but there was something....calling? It was weird and he couldn't quite figure out if that's what it was.

Overall though, he wasn't about to let anyone else know about his own pain considering what the others were going through, even as he lightly touched his head, rubbing it some as he stared at something out of sight of the camera.]

With everything that has been going on as of late, if anyone is in need of anyone to talk to...my door is always open. I just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of that, now more than ever.

[Whatever he was looking at off camera is dropped on the desk as Rung rubs his head a bit more, focusing on the camera finally with a solemn look.]

Also whatever..is going on with this white noise everyone is hearing...please be safe everyone.

....I want to talk...but I'm not sure what to say...

[It's still hard to believe. Kagerou, dead?

The boy isn't looking at his communicator though, even as he speaks. He looks out elsewhere, a not-quite frown on his face.]

What is it..?

Sometimes the best way to start is just to talk, Ventus.

[He says it softly, an understanding tone to his voice as he watches the other with a worried sort of look.]

I'm..not sure. At all. But it won't go away.

It seems kind of...sad...

[And yet there was something foreboding about it. More than once he'd caught himself looking towards the Badlands, such as now.

Shivering, he pulls his attention back to the LD in hand, giving Rung a slow nod.]

I.... There was something that happened. Some guy- he'd taken someone hostage and hurt them. I heard that some went to deal with him, but...they got hurt.

[He swallows.]

...and some died. Even Kagerou...

It does..doesn't it?

[There's a distant quality there, Rung absently rubbing at his head again even as he keeps his focus on the camera, listening to what Ventus has to say..

And then he goes still when a name is mentioned.]

Kagerou?

[He hadn't heard names, didn't really know which individuals had been lost but now he had one name and it...made his head hurt all the worse.]

...Unfortunately when it comes to those like the individual responsible...this sort of thing is common. And death is never something that is easy for anyone to come to terms with. It's only natural that you be upset, Ventus, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I've never lost anyone like that before...

[He squeezes his eyes shut.] Terra and Aqua... We got separated after being together almost forever, but I knew they were still okay, wherever they've gone... Never seeing them again just doesn't seem possible.

...Kagerou, I just met him when I arrived- I've never even talked to him in person aside from these, but...but I told him we could be friends...and...and now...

[His voice catches in his throat.]

...it just hurts...so much...

Ventus, I would be lying if I said it was easy to get past this sort of pain. It..is possibly one of the toughest things that any of us will have to face during our lifespan and everyone handles it differently.

[Rung speaks softly still, putting aside his own thoughts, the ache in his head, all of it in favor of focusing on Ventus right now.]

The most important thing to remember is not to forget those that aren't with you anymore. Hang onto the good things you do have, even if there aren't that many, and hold them close. It will get easier, it just takes time. I, for one, will be here to help you through this. Just don't let the hurt consume you, because I doubt that's what Kagerou would want. But don't force yourself to be indifferent either. It's alright to feel sad about all of this.

[Not quite trusting himself to speak just yet, he only nods a little, listening to Rung's words.

He takes a deep breath, letting himself sink down to sit.]

It's hard... And remembering the ones who aren't with me just reminds me that they're not here...

I know it won't help to keep thinking like that, but I can't help it. ...but...it helps knowing I'm not alone.

It's never a great reminder at times, knowing that the ones you care for aren't with you, but it's those same thoughts that give us hope that we will see those individuals again someday.

[A few names come to mind for Rung himself but he pushes those thoughts away, not needing that particular reminder at the moment.]

Like I said, it will take time to move away from those thoughts, to start seeing the brighter side of things but that's okay. And like I said, I'm here whenever you need me and I'm sure you have others here that feel the same.

[Ventus nods quietly.]

...you're right. I know you're right. It's never been a problem before, but it's like everything got turned upside-down...

[He sighs, taking a moment before he speaks up again.]

But thanks, Rung. I appreciate it. If...you don't mind it, could I just come and sit with you or something? Talking over these things is fine but...

I don't mind at all, Ventus. I'm at Prima's temple right now, if you'd like to come by.

[He says in sincerely, more than happy to let the other come sit with him for however long he needs, wanting to do what he can for those that need him.]

Oh- you're closer than I thought. Do you live there too?

I'm just outside right now.

That I do. You're welcome to come in, like I said. I'll have my door open. Or I can come outside to you if you'd rather.

[He smiles a little more.] I do too!

I think I should be able to find you.

[The smile is rather infectious, Rung doing the same.] I suppose I can finally say I'm familiar with someone else that lives here then.

I'll see you shortly then.

Sure can.

[He nods.]
