[With everything that had been going on, Rung's head hadn't stopped aching for days now it seemed. And then there was the white noise, the noise that made it all far worse and it was getting to the point that he could barely focus. Because not only did the ache make it hard to focus, but there was something....calling? It was weird and he couldn't quite figure out if that's what it was.

Overall though, he wasn't about to let anyone else know about his own pain considering what the others were going through, even as he lightly touched his head, rubbing it some as he stared at something out of sight of the camera.]

With everything that has been going on as of late, if anyone is in need of anyone to talk to...my door is always open. I just wanted to make sure that everyone was aware of that, now more than ever.

[Whatever he was looking at off camera is dropped on the desk as Rung rubs his head a bit more, focusing on the camera finally with a solemn look.]

Also whatever..is going on with this white noise everyone is hearing...please be safe everyone.

I..suppose it wouldn't hurt to have someone to talk to myself...though I don't want to take time away from something else you might be doing, little one.

I have more time than I know what to do with. Besides, it's never a waste of time to learn something about someone.

I don't know where I'd begin though.

Begin at the beginning? Or maybe the end. It does not have to be in chronicle order, I won't get confused.

....I'm tired of loss I guess. After being alive for as long as I have..it gets to the point where it's something you almost begin to accept as normal. As just another thing that happens and I hate that I've begun to feel that way.

I'm tired of losing those that I find myself caring for. It happens more than I'd like to admit.

[Four has never thought about the disadvantages to been so long-lived during a war, and instantly he feels a tremendous amount of sympathy and sorrow. In some small way, he can relate to that.]

You keep caring for others though, even if it would be easier to distance yourself and become jaded. I still have much to learn about the world, but I believe that takes a lot of strength.

I..suppose it is a form of strength but it's what I do--it's all I can do to assist others as I'm not a fighter. I just have a great fear of becoming useless I guess....

What I have learned living here amongst all these giants is that you don't have to fight to be helpful to others. Sometimes you can help just by making others smile or feel better, which is something you can do no matter how big or small you are. You shouldn't undervalue yourself.

I don't..I know what I do helps. I suppose sometimes I just feel as though I'm not pulling my weight properly? I've watched so many individuals go to war--some come back, some don't--and yet I'm always safe and sound...

Sometimes I suppose I just feel like I should be doing something more.

It must be nice for them to know that they have a friend they can come back to. Not everyone needs another fighter to help them out, what you do is just as valuable. What more can be done?

I.....don't...really know.

I guess one just reaches that point, after so long of being in the midst of war and chaos, that they just wish there was something more they can do yet they have no clue what it is they wish they could do more of.

[At this point Four is running out of things to say. He wishes he could be more help, but he really doesn't have a lot of experience with this sort of thing...]

Do you ever wish you could fight? To be big and strong like the warriors you admire?

[The reply takes awhile to come, but it finally does after some long, hard thought on Rung's part.]

Why not?

Because fighting..tends to hurt others, whether you mean to or not and I cannot stand the idea of that.

I like to help others.

But it seems as though if you aren't a fighter..at times that can make you less of an asset. I'm sure that's not how others mean it all the time and I know that those around me do appreciate the help I give it..just seems as though sometimes you're only useful in a certain situation.
