[ Have an extremely pissy looking red and yellow robot. He's got a pretty impressive scowl at the moment, and points directly at the video feed accusingly. He's still standing in the junk pile, his armor a bit scratched up from his landing. Not his most pristine moment and he's pretty aware of it. ]

Hey, what's up with all this? Do you know who I am? I'm Rodimus! Rodimus Prime! You can't just take me away from my crew without my permission and dump me in a heap of garbage. This is kidnapping.

[ His optics narrow and he crosses his arms. ]

I'll give whoever is responsible one chance to come forward and tell me where I am or else there's going to be bigger problems.

That sounds a little like how this place has been described. [In more ways than one.]

Wow sparkeaters...[A shiver] So that's more than just a myth. [He knew it. In fact somewhere someone probably owes him some Shanix.] I definitely want to hear that story sometime.

Must be a strange thing to discover, not only that you have an alternate self but that he's been a Matrix holder.

You guess? [Well that's no fun.] Well, he can't compare to you.

That sounds about right. Only slightly more weird, here.

It was real, yes. You should ask Rodimus about that, too. It's a good story. I won't tell it right.

I suppose. No one's said they've heard of an alternate me, so I don't know.

Wing...uh. I... [He's just going to squirm.]

[He's starting to think they need to be cataloging species here now. Plus: tentacles, floating hearts over people heads, phantom music, guns that shoot...food.]

I like hearing about your adventures from you though Drift. [He hasn't had many of his own. If he's going to live vicariously through someone, he'd rather it'd be you.]

Nor I. I'm not certain if that's reassuring or disappointing. [A bit of both, at least.]

[He grins.] You just get cuter when you do that.

Trust me. It's been an interesting journey with Rodimus. I think he attracts danger.

[He certainly doesn't go running from it.]

But the sparkeater thing was really his story. I just helped.

[He attempts a smile, and some gallantry to mask his embarrassment.] Well, in your case, Wing, it's because you're one of a kind.

[ ~~Did it just get cheezy in here?~~ ]

Wow. That's a lot of excitement. So coming here was more an environmental adjustment I suppose?

The way you talk it sounds like he likes it that way.

[Part of Wing is a little envious, the part that always wanted to explore. But the part of him that loved how sedate Crystal City was can't even relate to that much havoc. In fact that part of him is still having trouble adjusting to the insanity here.]

Well if you insist, I'll ask him then. But I wouldn't mind hearing more about what you did.

[The smile and the gallantry have the desired effect, if Wing could blush he would be.] ...well. That must go for both of us then right? I've always known you were special.

[~~Yes, but they need this like they need air.~~]

It was an adjustment. He just comes through everything, making it look easy.

[Whereas Drift cannot even do conversation.]

I just wrote his speeches. [Yes, he knows. Hard to believe. It must be Rodimus's delivery.]

I...uh. [Frag. He has no comeback. He frowns, then bursts out laughing.] One day I'll win one of these, Wing.

I can only imagine. How does he do it? Skill, luck? Both?

[This sounds like a character Wing's read in a book somewhere...]

You must make a decent team then? [Delivery isn't everything.]

Wing blinks for a moment at Drift's mixed reaction, but he can't help but smile in response to that laughter and it's a little coy at that. "Drift, I--" An airy laugh, "...you win more often than you know."

Rodimus.

[Skill, luck, and that secret Essence of Rodimus. Drift has had to fight his way out of everything: Rodimus just seems to glide through.]

I hope we do. [Though he could maybe let Drift write his speeches some more. That 'till all are one' thing is a bit much.]

It doesn't feel like it. [He grins.] Besides, maybe I like not winning when you're around.

That's all the explanation needed, eh? Well at least I finally get to meet him.

[And maybe see him in action, with luck. If not, a few stories perhaps.]

I--Drift! [Okay, he kind of giggles at that, because his mind is just going to take that and go places with it.] Well, _{you know I'm always game...}

[Drift gives an excited grin. He wants the two of you to like each other so much.]

He's hard to put into words.

[A coy glint of the optics.] Then again, so are you, Wing.

[That grin alone is enough to dazzle Wing.]

I guess he'll just have to speak for himself then.

[Wing's not certain what's gotten into you Drift but whatever it is, it's fabulous. He's just going to smile and bite his lip and look just a little bit bashful. What does he even say to that?] I...thank you.

I'm sure he will.

[An almost twinge of jealousy. What if...what if Wing likes Rodimus a little too much? ]

Thank you. For giving me a chance. And for ^{being you}.

[Now he's really ducking his head bashfully. It's not as if he's never received compliments before, but it's different when they come from this mech.]

Driiift... [It comes out in a bit of a playful whine.] _{You aren't supposed to say things like that when I'm not around to kiss you for it.}

[To be honest, Drift's 'compliments' are delivered with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. And that little duck of the head fires up his gallantry.]

You'll have to owe me one, then. And maybe it'll collect interest.

[Oh wait, were they talking about Rodimus? Oops. ]

[Well no wonder they leave Wing so stunned. Wing bites his lower lipplate again.]

I think I owe you more than that. And yes, it accrues pretty fast too.

[Rodimus who?]

.....

[Wing wins again: rendering Drift speechless.]

[Oh, right! Conversation. Now...how does Drift do that again...?]

I, uh. So, how are you feeling?

[Drift, you are making all kinds of faces during this conversation and Wing wants to kiss every last one.]

I...um, well... A little tired, but... [he smiles] ...better now. [You're a good distraction.]

[Drift's systems are probably grateful they can't hear that thought or else Drift might risk overheating.]

Am I going to have to come over there and sit on you till you fall into recharge?

[Drift might need a cooling system overhaul then if he's going to date this mech. Wing would be perfectly content to sit around all day just kissing.]

Ah--what, no... [A little embarrassed laugh, like he's been caught out. ] I mean..._maybe.

[He might at that. Drift can fight all day without overheating but Wing can sent him into the red with one kiss. ]

I'll do it, you know.

Please, Wing. It's important to get rest.

[That's because kissing is definitely better than fighting.]

[A gentle laugh, because he's flattered by the care you're taking.]

I'm sure you would. [And he'd hate it, just, so very, very much. Meaning, not really.] I just need to get some information on the newcomers first...

But you know Drift. [A little smirk and his voice lowers.] There are better ways to get me into recharge...

You can delegate, Wing. You don't have to do everything yourself.

[Drift, Blurr, others.]

[His engines purr, almost in spite of himself.] I'll do that too, if I need to.

[Or, even if he doesn't need to.]

[He huffs softly, resigned, because Drift is right.] Yes, I'll see who I can find. Can you keep an optic on things though? Make sure no one gets out of line?

[Wing knows that purr, and smiles despite of himself.] You...might. [He gives a little mock shrug.] Just to be sure I stay in recharge you know...

You can find...me. [Hint. Trust him, Wing. He'll keep the world from imploding long enough for you to take a nap.]

Oh, if I have to do that? You'll definitely need a recharge. [So would Drift, though.]

Well, I wasn't going to ask you to do both, but... [But he still smiles, because it's a bit like you're coming to his rescue.]

[And there's a little grin on his face that can't decide if it wants to be coy or mischievous. The idle of his own engines seems to have gone up a notch.] O-oh... Hm, maybe I'll just keep working then...
