[Broadcasting from the tallest peak he can find in the junk pile.]

[Someone has been through this before. Someone knows this drill. Someone has worked very, very hard to finally make it back to his Cybertron, only to find it all wrong. Again.

Someone probably has destroyed a few piles of junk in their anger.

However, someone also has paid attention to the communications on the network, and has ventured to the 'temples' that were mentioned, and has found them locked against him.

This someone is not surprised.
]

Listen closely, and listen well.

[It is time to act. The feed opens with a closeup on Megatron's faceplates, optics blazing red, the scant remnants of gladiator paint still burned onto the metal.]

This is not where we belong, and I am done with this.

I am done with waking up to see an unfamiliar sun obscuring all-too-familiar stars. I am done with strangers being cast from world to world. I am done with mechs-who-would-be-gods so graciously patronizing us by allowing us to remain while simultaneously enforcing unethical segregation and I am done, finally, with the thwarting of destinies that I and my allies have slaved, toiled, and died to create.

You can listen to those who make the rules here if you desire to. I have heard a song like theirs, before.

Or.

[He flashes, briefly, a datapad that seems to have some sort of schematic on it--a schematic that looks (to those who are familiar with them) like a complicated space bridge.]

If you are 'done' as I am, you can help me.

I am Megatron, and I will deliver anyone that joins me to their rightful homes.

[A single, pointed tooth is visible in the smirk that finally dawns on his face. His interdimensional portal had only worked, once, but with the right mechs he would see it to completion again. Immediately.]

I guarantee it.

You're Megatron? The Megatron?

Impactor's, uh, once friend?
cerebroshellshocked: (brace for nerdery)

It's an interesting possibility, but there have been regimes that have employed body doubles to confuse the enemy. Especially if the leader was dead, or gravely ill.

[Uh, no, Ironfist. Now is not the time to turn on the Nerd.]

Who doesn't know Impactor? He made the Wreckers what they were! Well, I mean, he didn't actually start them, but he was the one who really, you know, made them famous.
cerebroshellshocked: (feeling pretty...ouch)

Oh. Right. You probably would be. [For all he knows, there's some Super Villain Handbook and that's like chapter twelve or something.]

You know, technically if you were a clone, you wouldn't be able to tell you weren't the original.

[Well, a well-designed clone.]

I, uh, yes. I know some of their stories. [He is so torn because Wreckers Nerdery!! But...Megatron. Ouch. This makes his head hurt.]

That's technically possible, unless you account for, you know, potential degradation from memory transfer or, you know, mismatched components. Like bodygloving, in a way....

[And he's gone into theory land for a few kliks. ]

[And now he's back.]

With my knowledge? I'm just a scientist. [Not a Wrecker, that's for sure.]
cerebroshellshocked: (not the good kind of surprise)

[personal profile] cerebroshellshocked 2012-11-08 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
[He's only part listening. ] There's always the risk, too, with clones that they could have some deadman's switch or some other behavioral override....

[Eeep?]

Ironfist. You've never heard of me [He hopes.]
cerebroshellshocked: (earnest)

[personal profile] cerebroshellshocked 2012-11-08 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
Not necessarily. I mean there could be a simple timed trigge-- [Oh. Oh frag. He knew Ironfist's name.]

[This is probably Very Bad.]

[Blink.] I don't remember you meeting Topspin. [Had High Command not sent him all the records?]
cerebroshellshocked: (Wh-huh?)

[personal profile] cerebroshellshocked 2012-11-08 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
Well, a chrono countdown like a preset date or something. It would be simple enough to make, really.

[He's oblivious. Sorry.]

How wouldn't I? Was there some secret meeting? Before the war? [Wait, that didn't make sense, because Topspin didn't know him back then.] A-a job?
cerebroshellshocked: (wiggle hands)

[personal profile] cerebroshellshocked 2012-11-08 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not a medic, but something like that would probably be kind of noticeable.

[Secret meeting? With Megatron? This cannot be a good thing, Ironfist. Still, he can't help but be curious. At least a little. ]

....what kind of information? [He winces even as he asks. ]

I don't...I don't know if I can do that. [ He means it literally: he designs weapons. He's not sure he can do anything else.]

Um. [That sort of tone where he doesn't want to say what he's about to say because he figures his listener's going to get mad.] But you're a Decepticon.

And...I'm an Autobot.

[He frowns. Is it an ethical violation to hand over the Declassifieds?] I could tell you some, I guess? But, I mean, most of it you probably heard about. You know. From Valve and so on.

I am. I'm a kind of scientist.
cerebroshellshocked: (this is probably gonna be bad news)

[A few decacycles ago, the answer would have been fast and clear. But that was before Aequitas. Before he learned the truth and everything he'd believed in had been shattered.]

I think I just...hate all the killing. [If nothing else, it's an honest answer.]

Oh. You. Right. He, uh, he was a Decepticon. Or, I guess will be. [He realizes, suddenly, how weird it must be for others talking to him, those who knew him as dead. It's a little weird.]

I, uh, I could take a look. [He winces, because he should have more of a qualm. But when you're pretty sure you're dying, and it doesn't even really matter here, sometimes you just want something to occupy your mind.]

[personal profile] cerebroshellshocked 2012-11-09 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I know.

I've been responsible for that, too. Just indirectly.

[Which, though he hated Decepticons for their killig, for the fact that each time he lost a friend it hurt less and less...he's realized he was no better. Creating weapons like Gideon's Glue made him no better than anyone else. Just...more of a coward.]

[He goes quiet for a long moment, flipping through the schematics. He's only partly paying attention, aware he's been addressed, so he looks up after a moment.] Why do you despise us? [It seems a fair question.]

[personal profile] cerebroshellshocked 2012-11-09 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
....Yes.

I told you. I might not be much good with, you know...this stuff.

[To Ironfist's credit, he did destroy the glue and the formula. He thought.]

I never massacred anyone. [Even Babu Yar wasn't his fault. It wasn't. Though he still felt, though Aequitas still whispered, that it was.] I just wanted to be an engineer.

[Well, he can't deny that. ]

[He's figuring more if he works on it he can also work on countermeasures too. Just in case.]

I don't know. I wanted to just...build things. Make things that helped people.

[It just happened to be weapons.]
