[It was no surprise to him that his time on this new Cybertron was going better than his last three years on an ancient one. Parts for the portal were already being gathered and assembled, nobody was directly threatening to kill him, and he'd passed his schematics out to multiple individuals who had a shot at making it work. With nothing more to do on the project, himself, he'd decided to pursue a little...entertainment, and perhaps secure a bit of additional assistance on the way.]

[Besides, this arena was actually pretty nice.]

It's been almost a decacycle, and though little has changed in how these 'Firstforged' treat us, we've already managed to accomplish enough.

Of course, if we're to become monsters as I've heard claims we will be, then those of you who are marked should get a bit of practice in beforehand, hm?

[Without a further word, a bright purple glow illuminates the screen for a moment as Megatron unsheathes his energon mace from his hand-socket and gives it a whirl.]

Forgive me, if I find it difficult to believe a Megatron capable of concern for stranded individuals not of immediate use to himself or his projections. If I have difficulty in trusting you are truly 'looking out' for the Autobots amongst us. Or those who come not from Cybertron at all.

You do not require the use of an intellect capable of reviving not only the entire Teletraan-1 network... I see.

If it was supposed to be a secret, then they should not have made an open post. [He doesn't understand what the issue is.] And if it was supposed to be a secret, I'd highly question the motivations of not telling those who are to be affected by it.

[It sounded suspect...and he was already suspicious of the Firstforged, given what he'd been hearing about mechs vanishing.]

If that does not happen in your universe, then from what I've heard it occurs before the official beginning of the war. [Which is funny to him, because he'd thought he'd been starting the war when he'd burned down a city. That it takes longer than that...is curious.]

No. I don't expect you to take me at my word, but it's not in my nature to not try to ask simply because it is difficult. You won't trust me, and that...

However, in this endeavor I find sincerity to be a useful tool. I do intend to return to my home. I don't care what is done with the portal after I leave.

Odd. The Megatron I'm familiar with saw fit to build a grand prison on the site. One combined with a... recycling plant...

To return to your home and wage a war costing hundreds upon thousands of lives, if not more, I expect. In that vein, I doubt you would truly wish to hear my 'better idea', given what it ultimately has in store for you, once you access this 'portal' of yours.

However, I should thank you. Your hostility towards a stranger does remind me of why I began said war in the first place.
[Because leaving the lower classes to die slowly underneath a corrupt regime does not sound particularly tasteful to him.]
