Greetings. [Jetfire probably looks a bit too serious for the topic this is going to be revealed to be about, but he's simply like that.]
After I promised someone who's not... er, as big as some of us a way to get around more easily, it was clear more of you would need the same. Since unless you've found something in the Junk Pile or can always trust to quickly have a nearby cybertronian offer or ask them, which might not always be possible in an emergency.
So, this is hopefully a workable solution... [Jetfire briefly partly turns away from the feed, and when he turns back he angles the arm he has the computer screen on that's recording to show a... well, it reminds of a disc. Maybe an upside-down frisbee, with an added, low railing and what's clearly seating.]
They hover, and you control direction by leaning where you want to go... it is recommended you sit down while riding one of these. Speed I've managed to add as a manual control toggle.
[It was, however, easier to make the control motion sensitive, even if that might make them slightly harder to control for the humans and/or other smaller organics that would need them.
He carefully puts the little disc back on the table beside him as he turns back to the feed.]
I only have seven of these for now, but I'm working on more, so ideally every temple that has at least an organic will get one first, then the Hub ought to have one, and then I can start giving them out to any who wants or needs one.
Locked to Four
I apologise for the time this took, but yours was tinier than the others, so they were all finished more or less at the same time.
[This time the little hover frisbee-like disc he presents have a little extra "frisbee" attached behind, much larger than the front one as well as two claw arms, one obviously meant to pick up anything that couldn't be made, or wasn't, magnetic, and the other one to pick up what the claw couldn't.]
I had to compromise between the size that would most fit you and how large the... ah, attachments could be and still make it reasonably easy to control. I hope it works.
Locked to Starscream
[Excuse him as he stares into the feed for a moment, then glances awayno, he's not squirming and back, shaking his helm.]
Starscream... I need to talk to you. In person.

That looks amazing! How do you get it to hover like that?
[
talk technology to him jetfire][Video]
[Well if you insist!]Ah, thank you. And, given that it needed to be reasonably safe and it turned out to be the easiest components to find or make even with what we have available, I used acoustic levitation.
[He carefully picks up one of the little hover vehicles, somehow, even with the size of his fingers, managing to turn it on to make it rise up half a meter or so above his palm.]
Using a frequency neither humans nor most other organics should be able to hear, this means it's perfectly safe to touch the underside as well, even when it's active and hovering. [He tilts his helm thoughtfully, optics narrowing slightly.] Admittedly I had to presume a possible range of hearing for any other possible organics, at least given organics of a particular size and with reasonable generalisation, but it shouldn't be painful even for someone capable of hearing in those ranges.
[Uncomfortable, probably, but (hopefully) not painful.]
And it's all controlled by leaning pressure? What about height?
When activated, it will hover at around... [Jetfire's optics narrow briefly as he tries to come up with a suitable comparsion, and given Raf's height...] a little taller than your own, if I'm not wrong. If the disc is over-burdened, it'll sink closer to the ground, but it should be able to manage a reasonable amount of weight added onto it.
[Given the tiny, squishy beings that they were supposed to carry.]
Of course... [Jetfire's lips twitch into a smile.] If you're strapped down, you can at the least make it go sideways along a wall or similar. There are auxiliary hover mechanisms set into the sides for that purpose to help stabilise it on an around 90 degree angle.

You'd have to be careful to stay right... ah, over something the sound could bounce off of, like a shoulder or the helm, or even back armour if there's enough of it, but essentially, yes.
How so?
[Raf could even, if he needed to, travel sideways up along a cybertronian without help from said cybertronian and then end up above them.]

[The enthusiasm is no small reason as to why he decides to go meet Raf first and let him have a crack at the hover discs.]
[Video]>Action?
right.
which is why he's hauling himself over as quickly as he can. someone's gotten a lot better at running - he'll never be a distance runner or a sprinter, but at least he won't be as behind in P.E., when he gets home!]
Action!
Raf. [A dip of his helm in greeting as the boy comes careening out, and Jetfire manages not to smile as he kneels down and puts one of the hover discs on the ground.]
All yours.
Re: Action!
[Raf's waving - as if Jetfire couldn't see him coming, but he's just making sure. he does have to put his hands on his legs and pant for a few moments, wide-eyeing the disc, but...
this is so /cool/!]
So I just...?
[he steps on, slowly]
Action!
[Smiling, Jetfire uses his smallest finger to indicate in general the bottom of the disc around where Raf's standing. None of this had been particularly easy to make, but some sort of safety had obviously been paramont, especially as they could go up along walls or other vertical surfaces.]
You can either stand up, and then the straps go about your feet, or sit down, as you choose. Remember it's controlled directionally by you leaning, so be careful.
[At least he hadn't attached speeding up/braking to leaning forwards and back. That would probably have been a catastrophe.]
Action!
he tries an experimental lean, trying to get a feel of its responses]
Action!
The hover disc itself responds promptly, apparently weight isn't an issue as it first angles to the exact degree Raf's leaning at and then starts to turn. In place, given that it's got no forward thrust.]
Be mindful of how much speed you use when you turn that on, I should probably have put some more limit on it than I did, but given that these are supposed to help you get around quickly...
[jetfire frowned slightly and then shook his helm.]
Action!
eventually he'll be trying to make slow circles around the area, or weaves, just - again - trying to get a feel for it. as much as it would be fun just to lunge in...
this isn't a game.]
Maybe something could be added to cushion...?
Action!
Following Raf's little tests with as much interest as Raf has in doing them, Jetfire frowns thoughtfully.]
Maybe, yes. I'm going to do more of these after all... And it's good that it seems to respond properly... I can only do so much testing given that it's not made for me.
[Mostly size-wise, but yes. Jetfire smiles and gives the carefully weaving Raf a nod.]
And thank you, Raf. You seem to have a good grasp on how to test it thoroughly.
Action!
[not that he minds having someone close by - not at all - but he feels like he's dragging them down, sometimes]
Action!
Exactly. Even though I doubt they mind [A chuckle and a shake of his helm before Jetfire gestures at raf and teh hover disc] but minding or not, sometimes it'd obviously be quicker if you wouldn't need to wait to be picked up.
I believe that unless I change or add something, it should be fine on the testing front; it obviously responds even to a small and light passenger such as yourself, which was definitely a concern.
Action!
So...could I hang on to it for a little bit, maybe?
Action!
As long as you make sure any others of similar stature gets a chance to use it as well when they need to, that's fine. It takes a while to make these, even when I have all the parts and resources, but in the end you should all have one... or at least not have to share one between too many.
[With a lack of proper equipment to put all the parts together easily, and make the parts as small as they need to, it's an exercise in patience, especially as this sort of engineering isn't Jetfire's forté.]
Action!
[say, a small hand...]
