[ Saber knows what she's been told; she's aligned with some Vector (as is proven by the mark she carries), she came through something called the Lambda, and she has this device called the Link to speak to others. The king also realizes that she was told as little as possible.

She doesn't mind. Saber has been in situations like this before. With those times, she came with knowledge of her current environment and everything in it, so this is a bit more difficult. Saber also knows that this new, borrowed bedroom is way too large for her, and if it's meant for citizens, then she may be at quite a disadvantage. And none of this even touches on the first thing she noticed; she seems to have no Master, which will likely become an issue quickly. This is no Holy Grail War.

Despite all of this, the voice that sounds through the video is very composed. She managed to angle the device properly so that she is able to be seen from her shoulders up. There's silver armor just barely visible within the frame. The face displayed is very young and could be mistaken as boyish. Although her pitch of voice is feminine, the firmness and her manner of speaking is not so. ]

This place? It's a Cybertron--not mine, I don't think. But way in the past. And things right now are a bit unsettled. The Acolytes probably told you the basics, so, uh, what do you want to know?

[ Saber pauses a moment before asking. Although she knows little, she doesn't want any large misunderstandings due to her ignorance. ]

You seem like you are built out of machinery. If this environment is for that type of race, is it difficult for someone as myself .. an organic.. to survive?

We have other humans here. And things you need, food and such, we find in the Junk Pile.

[He tilts his head, considering.] Do you like canned peaches? [He could bring you some.]

[ So, they're finding things to use in a.. Junk Pile? How.. unfortunate. Doesn't sound amazing, but one can't complain. ]

I do enjoy peaches, yes. Would you please tell me about your race? I .. do not mean to offend, but I am quite unfamiliar with the idea of .. machines being alive. Are you alive, or perhaps..

[ AI, maybe? Saber obviously is attempting not to offend in her wording, but she knows nothing. This is a possible ally, after all. ]

We have some in the rec center we're building. And other human food. [But peaches were the only things he really knew.]

My race? Uh. We're from Cybertron. [He holds up his hand. ] Pretty alive, honestly. However you define it. History, emotion, that sort of thing. [He's hard to offend.]

[ That's incredible. Since this is obviously not a big deal to him, she doesn't mention it anymore. ]

I am currently located in a temple, Vector Prime's, and have not traveled. If I chose to do so, is it difficult or far to reach other points of interest?

And please tell me more about this rec center? I am currently deciding where I should be aiming for next, and that sounds like a good start.

[ Saber seems to suddenly feel she's asking a considerable amount of him. She speaks once more before he can begin to reply. ]

It's not hard, but the first time, you might need directions--there are a lot of bridges. It's not the most friendly place for non-flyers.

I can take you to the rec center, if you want. We're building it in neutral territory. Right now it just has a bar and some living spaces.

[He shrugs. ] It's no problem. We need to help each other, right?

[ Not the most friendly for non-flyers.. Saber can move extremely fast for a "human," but it'd be wise at this point to not use up what could be needed energy, or even show off what she's capable of until she's more familiar with things. ]

You are right. We need to be there for each other. I would like to take you up on that offer. It sounds as if you are involved with the building of the rec center, so I will show my thanks by helping out, too.

But I'm not in charge of the Rec Center. That's Wing. But I'm sure he'd be more than glad for your help. It's for all of us.

[ Five kliks..? She won't ask. At least, she will receive a good idea of the surroundings from this trip. ]

[ As Saber nods, she disconnects the call. This device that acts like a phone.. it would be inconvenient to rely on during battles.

Making her way out of the room she's in and then through the temple, Saber steps outside and waits on the staircase at the main entrance.

With a better look around, Saber now understands why he says this is an encumbrance for non-fliers. These beams and walkways would be difficult for someone travelling normally by foot. ]

[It's about 11 minutes later by Earth time (if she knows it) that a white and red car rolled over the bridge connecting the palace to the rest of Haven.]

[He rolls to a stop and for a klik debates just popping open his door like he does with Vandal, but Saber seemed a bit unused to the idea of his kind so, it was probably, he figures, friendlier to transform. So he pushes up, rising to his feet.]

Saber. It's Drift.

[He is a master at obviousness.]

[ Saber needs obviousness right now, considering the look on her face when the car rolls up, and then proceeds to change into something a bit larger than the Acolytes. Well, then. ]

Is this something all Cybertronians are capable of doing?

Most of us. There are the Militant Monoformers who refuse to, but that's by choice. Everyone has an alternate mode. And some have more than one alt mode.

Oh. It's...kind of rude to ask someone what their alt is. Just, I mean I don't mind, but some mechs might. [Cultural liaison!Drift is...obviously new at this.]

[ This was a bit more complex than Saber thought it would be. Culture shock, she supposed. ]

[He nods, and steps back to fold back down into his alt mode, popping open one of his passenger doors.]

Hop in. ...I promise I'll drive, uh, reasonably.

[They don't call him Drift for no reason.]

I'm not too concerned with your driving, as long as I am not thrown around.

[ Saber has ridden with some.. alright, one, very crazy driver, already. As she walks over to the car, she pauses as she looks at it.. him.

She gets into the open door and sits down, looking around and doing up her seat beat. At least, she'll get to see some of the environment.

Her Riding ability isn't giving her the usual read that she would with a mode of transport, but that's likely because this one is sentient. ]
