DOUBLE PILLAR ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY

[It extends upwards as far as the eye can see, vanishing directly into the Lambda. Markings adorn its rough, worn surface, too ancient to read. The material itself seems new, however--a contradiction in forms. All who approach will hear its rhythmic thrumming, a noise pulsing from it with a lulling and dangerous tone. Around it the earth is broken and crumbling, and pieces of debris from the junk pile radiate outward...some of it charred as if burned.
Will you approach?
Examine?
Climb the precarious looking footholds?
Or fall victim to something equally sinister...]
Note: This is the Pillar interaction post! A mod will be observing any threads made here, and will occasionally post with a response from the pillar depending on which actions you take. It is strongly suggested that you approach the pillar with a friend, as the effects of the Pillar's influence are not always pretty. (Also, it's difficult to hold a conversation between a character and a piece of stone.)
BE WARNED--many different outcomes will be administered here. If you don't want your character to be killed/injured/possessed then clear your post with Saeru before making it. All effects (yes, even death) will be temporary (IE not lasting more than three days).

He stops at the edge of where the charred remnants of debris begin, glancing down uncertainly before he lifts his optics towards the pillar itself.
Maybe...maybe this was a bad idea.]

[She looked to the large mech and then back at the pillar.]
What do you think of this thing?
no subject
I don't like it. I'm not sure how to explain it, but... [He shakes his head, glancing at Rose.]
Do you feel something...I dunno, off about it?
no subject
Yes. Something is very off about it. It is like something dark is radiating off of it.
no subject
I was kind of hoping that was just me, but now I have to wonder that this thing might be what had Prima concerned earlier. ...which really doesn't make things any better considering I haven't heard anything from any of the Firstforged since this thing appeared at the end of that freak storm.
no subject
[Though she doesn't sound quite hopeful.]
Do you think it is also responsible to the way some people have been acting lately?
Pillar time
It also seems to want you both to come closer...]
/SCREAM
[His attention's drawn back towards the pillar, and for all that he thinks it's probably better to get away from the thing, he finds himself stepping forward.]
It's linked to it...somehow...
/runs and hides!
[She gripped her Dragoon Spirit, and tried to remember some of the techniques that Wing taught her to keep her mind clear before she followed Hot Rod.]
I have a feeling it may be linked to other undesirable things on this planet as well...
no subject
[Whether he's talking to the Dragoon or the pillar is anyone's guess.]
no subject
I wonder what those markings on it could mean...
[Now that they were closer, she could see them more clearly.]
no subject
Meanwhile, the markings look very distinct and beautiful. It's a shame that this pillar is clearly heralding something ominous, because there must be a language associated with some of the symbols which would be interesting to learn about.
The Pillar does particularly like you, though, Rose. Maybe it senses something familiar in you, because the closer you go, the more it seems to...tremble?
It definitely wants to be touched.]
no subject
Can't make anything out of it.
[Hot Rod looks towards its base, slowly stooping by the cracked earth. If it goes as deep as it extends above, that can't be good.]
no subject
Now I really do wish that at least one of the First Forged had stayed. They may know what it all means...
[Without realizing it she raises a hand as if to touch the surface of the pillar. Her hand stops just a few centimeters and hovers there, as one part of her mind tells her it is a bad idea to touch it, but she can't quite make herself to put her hand down.]
no subject
However, the closer you get, the louder it 'hums,' which is distracting in an of itself--like a Siren song. Your choices now are few: Either you will end up touching the pillar, or you'd best pull away and get far from it now.
Granted, if you leave, you'll never know what touching it might accomplish~]
no subject
It's with a jerk of his head and a gasp that he snaps back to focus. His balance is off with the motion, and although his head is at least clear of touching the pillar, cursed reflex has him snapping his hand outward to push himself steady- unfortunately against the one thing he'd initially been meaning to avoid.]
no subject
Hot Rod?
[She doesn't like this. Not at all.]
no subject
Externally, Rose would notice his optics darkening--not as if the light in them has gone out, but as if it's now emanating a black color instead of blue. It's almost like a virus...and Rose would be sensitive enough to the darkness to recognize it transferring, extending into Hot Rod.
Bizarrely, the pull to get in contact extends to Hot Rod as well, as he's now emanating the same 'attraction' that the Pillar is.
His Glyph also has become quite dim.
~~~~~
Meanwhile, Hot Rod...everything makes a sudden sort of sense to you. The Pillar isn't bad.
It's not bad at all.
Rather, it's a gateway extending to the Lambda, a call that is inviting everyone to return to where they're meant to be...and you are now its herald. Your goal, for the next 'day,' is to pass this knowledge onto as many individuals as possible. A simple touch will be enough, you'd know, to communicate the information you've learned.
Anyone you do manage to touch will be similarly inflicted with both the desire to spread the 'Lambda plague' by touching others, and then to return to the Pillar and attempt to ascend it to the Lambda.
After one in-game day, this feeling will fade and you will return to normal.]
no subject
Why had he been so cautious about this thing? This was their answer, something they'd been looking for!
Hot Rod lifts his head slowly as he looks up towards the Lambda where the pillar seems to extend far and beyond.]
no subject
[She steps back from Hot Rod and the Pillar and brings the Dragoon Spirit to her chest to summon her armor. Hopefully the darkness of the Spirit will help her resist rather than only speed up the process of giving in. It almost made her wish that she was the Dragoon of Light rather than Dark. With one already succumb to the Pillar, she's a bit desperate.]
no subject
Rose?
[What's with the armor?]
no subject
Your eyes... What happened when you touched the Pillar?
no subject
I...
...I was given answers. This Pillar- can't you feel it? It goes straight up through the Lambda- it's a way for everyone to go back to the place they should be!
no subject
Answers? And you believe it? What I feel from that thing, and now you, is nothing but darkness.
no subject
[The Autobot advances, reaching towards her.]
