DOUBLE PILLAR ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY

[It extends upwards as far as the eye can see, vanishing directly into the Lambda. Markings adorn its rough, worn surface, too ancient to read. The material itself seems new, however--a contradiction in forms. All who approach will hear its rhythmic thrumming, a noise pulsing from it with a lulling and dangerous tone. Around it the earth is broken and crumbling, and pieces of debris from the junk pile radiate outward...some of it charred as if burned.

Will you approach?

Examine?

Climb the precarious looking footholds?

Or fall victim to something equally sinister...]

Note: This is the Pillar interaction post! A mod will be observing any threads made here, and will occasionally post with a response from the pillar depending on which actions you take. It is strongly suggested that you approach the pillar with a friend, as the effects of the Pillar's influence are not always pretty. (Also, it's difficult to hold a conversation between a character and a piece of stone.)

BE WARNED--many different outcomes will be administered here. If you don't want your character to be killed/injured/possessed then clear your post with Saeru before making it. All effects (yes, even death) will be temporary (IE not lasting more than three days).

[That doesn't mean he's not going to try, but it isn't getting him anywhere. Stubbornly he tries to push on but that only tires out what energy he has left. The car slows to a stop.]

[That's a good question. Now that she's stopped him what is suppose to do with him now? If he were an enemy she would know right away, but that is not the case.

[She lands not far from him.]

Find a way to break whatever connection that you have to that pillar.

[And do it without touching him since she still had an urge to do so.]

[The car shudders, and slowly Hot Rod shifts out of his alt mode, propping himself up from the ground with an arm.]

There's nothing to break..!

Don't you find it strange that suddenly your leeriness left as soon as you touched that pillar? It has certainly done something to you.

[Had it been so? But that can't be right.]

I don't know what you're talking about. There's nothing wrong with the pillar-

Your eyes are solid black and your glyph has faded. I say there is something very wrong with the Pillar.

[He feels at odds with himself, but the only words that want to come out are the one's he's been repeating. Part of him continues to reason- why can't she see? She needs to understand.

Again Hot Rod reaches out. He could make her understand, just like he's come to do so. This was the best way...]

[She uses the armors wings to move back out of his reach. A part of her desired to touch him, like she wanted to touch the pillar, but the more logical kept telling her no.]

Don't. [Her voice held a warning tone.]

[His hand freezes where he's extended it towards her, too much effort required to follow where she's moved, but at the same time also questioning. But the reasons he's come to know cycle through his head like an unspoken mantra.

The only reason Hot Rod lowers his hand is again is because he's still feeling drained from whatever that had been that Rose had hit him with earlier.]

[Rose keeps a safe distance for now. All she can do is keep an eye on him until whatever happened to him wears off or she figures out how to reverse it. Unfortunately the only ideas she has involve attacking the pillar, which she has a feeling will turn out badly.]
