[Video] - Bugs bugs bugs, but they glow, so it's like Christmas spirit?

[The video comes on to Jetfire frowning thoughtfully at one of his hands, held up and... apparently crawling with pinpoints of moving lights. He shakes it, and there's a veritable cloud of winking lights exploding in all directions.

Some of them fly past the screen close enough to reveal they're tiny, dragonfly-like metal bugs. That glow.]

There was an accident, and the thirty of these that I had contained in my lab and were developing were let out. It seems their replication matrix is working, because they're certainly not thirty any longer.

I apologise if they are a... er, nuisance.

I am rather sure I can hazard a guess from a few cycles of observing that the replication matrix is working correctly though, since while they've become more as a response to the greater space available outside of the lab, I believe they're not replicating completely out of hand.

[He shakes his helm slowly, dislodging a crowd tiny bugs that has landed on his helm and nasal ridge.]

Hopefully they'll... spread outside of Haven soon.

Reasons that are probably less than altruistic.

[Just this dry look. Even if Frenzy wasn't a Decepticon, Jetfire's quite sure his personality would lend itself to "misbehaving".]

Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying, Frenzy. Despite any extra skills you may possess [if he does have similar ones to either the Frenzy or Rumble Jetfire vaguely knows] it wouldn't, truly, be too troublesome to get them back.

[He might prefer to not fight, but nowadays he's certainly not bad at it... And Frenzy, you're tiny. He could trap you in one hand.]

Given that I have no reason to fight you, it'd be the latter. [And he doesn't really care if Frenzy thinks he's all talk, which isn't true at all.] While your size may be to some advantage for you, I'm plenty used to fighting those smaller than I am.

But I do have other things to do than show you that I can defend myself.

[Somehow, Jetfire manages to keep a straight expression through that bragging and description of future violence. There's no reason to not believe this Frenzy doesn't carry some similarity to the Frenzy from his reality, which means he's skilled enough...]

And I'm merely pointing out the probable differences between me and what you've probably mostly fought before... Especially as the only alternate I've met of myself, that was here briefly, was larger than I am, and had a completely different altmode.

So far all I've seen is you bein' trapped in yer own lab an' makin' a bunch of bugs thatacha axdently let loose. G'job, scientist!

What, the fact that he is one and is capable of using his skills for that, or the fact that he choses to no longer do so and mostly fight?

[Sorry, Frenzy, the Starscream Jetfire knows is at least somehwat more obviously an actual scientist, still.]

These things happen. [Jetfire shrugs, philosophical and not particularly bothered by the mocking.] The bugs are small and harmless, no one has been hurt, and there's not been any incidents with cerebro-shells or weapons into hands that they shouldn't end up in.

He ain't never been no scientist, an' he ain't never will be!

Given that we haven't fought, you have no idea how I'd conduct myself in a fight, and I fail to see how providing a Decepticon with weapons is something I should be doing... as an Autobot?
