A little bit. I mean, I'd always been one of the smallest Reploids around, but I was used to being able to take care of myself. Even the Mutos Reploids, which could be twice my size, weren't a match for me.

... what's a Reploid?

Humanoid robots with free will. Mutos Reploids were different in that their frames were based on beings from myths and legends, so they didn't always look like humans.

So. There are robots that don't have free will?

[glacius_passio]

There were before Reploids. They were sentient and quite human-like themselves, but they operated under the Three Laws of robotics that constricted their ability to make decisions. Every decision had to be run through the algorithm of the laws and if it came back that it violated one of them, they couldn't carry out the action. I'm not sure what prompted the change from the old robots to Reploids, but we've been the type produced for two hundred years now.

I am. I'm only about a hundred years old, so I was made long after the laws fell out of use. None of those robots even exist anymore.

I'm not really sure. There were several uprisings and cataclysmic events that occurred before the final war that happened before I was built, so I assume they were slowly destroyed over the years. A lot of our history was lost in the last war, so all we have is speculation and what little my master told us about them.

Is that why you were built? To fight their wars?

Well, it wasn't my original purpose. My brothers and I were built to help cleanse the planet outside the biodome so that the humans could eventually live outside it again. I was in charge of de-toxifying the water sources.

Yes, I can. Generally, as long as something is liquid, I can purify it.

Any liquid? Even energon?

What about a venom? Could you make it harmless? [Not that someone in this conversation's had any experience with spiderthing venom.]

I haven't tried it. It would be interesting if I could, so I might have to try it with energon just to see if I can do it with something that doesn't contain water.

It'd be really awesome if I could do it to venom, but I don't exactly have samples to test.

Maybe you could meet up with Jetfire or another of the scientists who could check it for you. I'm sure potable water would be good for the humans, too.

That's not a bad idea. I'm sure one of them would know something useful I could do if I actually can purify energon.
