[The feed clicks on to show Garrus in the Junkpile, broadcasting with the use of his arm-mounted Omni Tool.]

Looks like the Lambda's feeling rather festive this week. There's a cache of supplies here on a ship back from my world.

[A three-fingered hand reaches to plug in some controls into the device's holographic display, quickly bringing up a 3-D representation of the ship in question, with several red indicators near the thickest areas of the craft.]

Scans show there's.. probably going to be some hostile stowaways inside. Shouldn't be too much for an organized team to handle.

[The feed flicks back to the camera.]

Meet by my coordinates if you're interested.

[And the feed clicks off. Now to see if anyone will join him.]

Whoa.... So that's what a ship looks like?

[A crashed ship and potential hostile stowaways? Rocket is all over that. This is the sort of thing he's been waiting for!

He doesn't hesitate to make his way towards the coordinates, darting along through the junkpile on all fours before he finally reaches the other. Immediately standing upright, Rocket rests his front paws on his pistols, tail flicking as he peers up at Garrus.

So what sort of hostile farkin' stowaways are we talking about here, mate?

Yeah. It's a frigate, one of the smaller types. They're meant for scouting. Mostly.

[Hence the rather slim and lightweight build.]

[Rocket gets a curious eyeful as he shows up, he didn't remember other Earth life to be capable of speaking. But aside from the initial puzzlement, there's a short nod at the question. Back to business.]

Husks. Mindless creatures derived from different organic species - turians, in this case. Scans say there's at least two or three dozen, but they don't exactly have a sophisticated method of attack.

[Space zombies.]

As long as you don't let them run up to you and get close, you should be fine.

So dodge them and shoot from afar. Sounds like my kind of party.

[Zombies. Thank God for Zombies. Mindless dead things that no one cared if they died. This was what Rocket had been itching for since arriving in this place. Crossing his arms, the raccoon's ears flicked a bit.]

Plan is to clear it out so you can get your supplies then? Shouldnt be too hard, mate.

That's about right. We just gotta be careful not to get trapped within the close quarters of the ship.

[He glances behind him in what one could guess is the direction of the crash site.]

I've served on frigates like these in the past. There's a few choke points we could use if this one's built the same.

[Rocket nodded silently, little mind going a mile a minute as he considered the options.]

So there's no way to be sure it's the same unless we get in there. Right then, sounds like we need a scout, mate. I have a feeling I can get in and out of there easier than most. I can sneak in past the farkin' zombies and broadcast the layout to you.

[He glances up at Garrus, one ear cocked as the other flicks in a contemplative way.]

Better to go in knowing than going in blind.

Huh. So you need help? I'd like to come see it.

[The gauntlet-like holographic interface of the omni-tool manifests itself around his arm after considering the option.]

Good idea. As far as my scans can tell, most of them are lying dormant somewhere in the Drive Core and Engineering Deck.

[The scan of the ship is projected in front of them, indicating the areas with the cluster of barely detectable life signs.]

There should be maintenance shafts that can let you sneak into them and get a better look.

After the ship's cleared of hostiles you're welcome to go looking inside.

[He's... Not entirely comfortable with bringing you to the space-zombie infested decks of the ship.]

[Eyeing the projection, Rocket memorizes as much of it as he can, ears perked forward as he murmurs softly to himself, setting a route for himself to make it easier. Once done, he nods, ears falling back as he lets his arms fall from their crossed position.]

I'll comm you when I get there, mate.

[He gives the other a bit of a salute before darting off, heading in the direction of the ship, moving quickly and quietly.]

Right.

[He still had to wait for a few others to arrive before attempting to breach the ship. But, there was one matter he had forgotten, and opens up an audio channel a few minutes after Rocket had left.]

Name's Garrus Vakarian.

[Whoops, introductions. They can get a more formal one once everyone gathers by the ship. Right now he just needs a name.]

What sort of hostiles? If there's any problems, I can fight.

Rocket Raccoon. It's a pleasure, mate.

[Pausing in his trek to perch on a mound of trash near the ship, Rocket surveys the area a bit for himself before starting towards it again, making for his desired entrance and getting inside without too much trouble.]

Alright, I'm in.

[The perk of being small was being able to move through ventilation systems easily, the raccoon already starting down the vent trail, ears perked forward as he keeps tabs on everything going on around and below.]

Anything else I should be wary of with this ship, mate?

[There are times when krogan metabolism really sucks. Now is this time. Wrex rubs at his head plate, groaning.]

[Oh wow. That certainly was a ship. And sorry Garrus but it sounds to her like you want to plunder it. Who better to plunder than a legendary Great Thief?]

Investigating as a team would_{be a good idea but that's ship is not exactly sized}for big bots. I'm not THAT big myself but I'm not sure for how long I could assist you. I want to help, however, as much as I can.

... Looks interestin', and I wouldn't mind something to do... Want some extra backup, if ya think I could fit?

[Because, Garrus, man, he's seen the replies. Two kids, no matter how... skilled they are, and then a raccoon.]

If nothin' else, I got some things that might make it easier to get around if corridors are blocked and whatnot.

[A brow plate rises up at seeing the krogan on the video feed.]

[Even your double sets of organs cant save you from Ryncol, buddy.]

This mission's gonna be a bit dangerous for you. You should wait for the team to clear out the ship before looking inside.

[He's still trying to get used to your quick sentences, Blurr. You remind him of Mordin.]

You're the police captain, right?

[He's.. working on his list of natives to trust. Garrus checks some scans on his omni tool.]

The main hallways and elevators reach about... Fifteen feet. Think you can fit in there?

Cliffjumper, right?

[He recognizes you. There's a bit of a short nod in greeting.]

Yeah. Any extra firepower would make this a lot easier.

[Here's a little zoomed in diagram of the same ship he had projected earlier. The details are fuzzy and pixelated - he hasn't been able to get any detailed scans yet, but it shows the dimensions of most of the ship's hallways and rooms. Around 12-15 feet all around, save for maintenance shafts and other small corners.]

Think you can fit in there?

Yeah.

[He tosses off a little salute and then grins in a way that might be worrying.]

Oh, firepower's something I've got plenty of... an' yeah. [Squinting slightly at the scans, Cliffjumper nods slowly.]

Looks big enough. Probably gonna have to squat in some of the smaller corridors, but otherwise I'm gonna clear 'em, no problem.

[Sometimes it pays off to be around thirteen feet tall.]

Be careful in there.

[Mordin must be a quite lively person then.]

Yes SIR I am the head of the Police Force. ULTRA _{Magnus and MccCrane are}my seconds in command.

Husks, from what the scans say. The creatures are mindless and attack in groups, but they're easy to lure. If they get ahold of you, though...

[There's a concerned pause.]

Hand to hand isnt the best option. They can swarm in and tear a guy up.

[Garrus listens intently on the other side of the feed, waiting from his original position.]

Aside from the husks? Just avoid going near the engines. Ship crash means they could be leaking element zero. Stuff's toxic to organics.

What can you see in there?

[He wasn't expecting many dead bodies. The entire crew was probably converted to the mindless creatures.]

[Gulp.]

Uh, well I can use some magic, and that can work over some distance. And if anyone gets hurt, I can heal.

[That grin brings a jokingly raised browplate on the other side.]

Make sure not to blow up the whole ship. Just the husks.

I'll be at these coordinates until everyone arrives.

[He sings Gilbert and Sullivan if you ask.. does that count?]

It'll be good to have you. I'll be waiting by my current coordinates.

[He's left the signal open to be traced. Should be easy enough.]

I've got a plan mostly worked out. It should be alright.

Probably best if you stick to healing any wounded.

[He's still not entirely convinced.. But maybe he can be proven wrong? At least it's a step up from before.]

[There's a silence on Rocket's end for a moment, at least in terms of speaking, only the sound of him moving along the vents any indication that he was still on the other end at all.

Then it really does go silent for a moment before a chittering sound can be heard.]

Mate, think we got a bit of a problem. Looks like there's no easy way to get further than I farkin' am at the moment.

[Yeah. He's annoyed. He really wanted to explore this ship and he can't find a way through.]

[There's a slight shrug at that raised brow and Cliffjumper's engine lags a little before he frowns thoughtfully.]

Promise, nothin' big. Don't need to use the large cannon... Are husks organic, hybrid or mechanoid, anyway? An' I'll be workin' my way over then.

[It wouldn't take too long, given that he was rather fast.]

[Blurr doesn't even know what Gilbert and Sullivan are. That's probably a good thing.]

[This is, disconcerting. Husks aren't supposed to be intelligent enough to tamper with anything.]

Yeah. But you should wait outside where it's safe.

[He... suspects there to be no incidents in this if they play it safe. So that's what he intends to do.]

[Yes, let's hope he never starts to take a fancy for musicals. Garrus nods at him at the other end.]

Hybrid, technically.

Remember the Reapers I mentioned earlier? They get organics and convert them to husks with some kind of... nanotechnology.

[It's.. not a pleasant thing to think about. But a fact of the enemy they'll be facing. So he'll divulge what details he knows.]

The body's the same, usually, but all the insides are converted to synthetic material. Sometimes they're fused together to make some sort of cannon. Or some other larger machine.

Ohhh...okay.

[Boys and bird people get to have all the fun.]

[There's some shifting sounds before the video pops on, Rocket aiming it at the blocked pathway.]

Seems a little too convenient if you ask me. Like someone's trying to keep us out. Or maybe I'm just farkin' paranoid.

[That expression he just did, at the description? If a grimace could involve the whole body, Cliffjumper just did it.]

[Give him a moment.]

Okay, so... ugh. Given that, just normal weapons, then. If they had been more mechanical, or metal on the outside, I could've used my glass gas. [Cliffjumper grimaces as he shifts his shoulders, still completely disgusted at the idea.] 'Cause the gas makes metal brittle, and easier to destroy or crack.

Couldn't have been the crew if they were all converted to husks...

[Unless there was someone who had managed to evade conversion. One who had to be dead by now as there were no organic life signals in the wreck. Damn, what a way to go.]

Had to be a survivor of some sort. They must have died when the ship crashed.

[Because he'd rather believe that than intelligent husks.]
