[The video feed comes on to show Miko, a human girl with pink and black hair, sitting in a sprawled out manner. She has a lazy, self satisfied smirk in place and has a guitar case propped up next to her, while she leans back against an amp.]

So, I'm on Cybertron, and not just any Cybertron, a new one just being built. This rocks.

And not having to deal with some dorky space suit, total bonus.

Well I'm Miko, and I'm looking to see if there is anyone here that I know. Course I am totally up for meeting new people too!

[She pauses for a moment like she is going to shut off the communicator before she looks back up, an almost blank expression on her face, only a little bit of sadness showing through.]

Yeah, they are but... most of them don't show even having an idea of existing... I mean a fridge doesn't say 'hi' to me when I go grab the milk. I mean it's not quite fair if you know there are other things out there to do, if you can't at least try them, to see if it's something else you would like to do too.

[Miko is just so much the rebel that she has a bit of an obsession with having all the options open for herself and for others.]

Not being able to communicate does not mean they are not sentient. My kind cannot communicate with humans normally, either; I have only been able to do so since coming here.

And I do not have much experience with professions outside of boxing.

Oh... I hadn't thought of that before... but that just means more things that can should be given the option of what they want to do. I wonder if my guitar likes being played or if it would want to do something else...

It might. But it might not be complex enough to be sentient, either.

I am uncertain. I was only programmed for boxing and do not have skills beyond that.

So... when does being sentient happen, cause I mean cars are complex, but the Autobots don't act like they are sentient. Does it mean my computer at home is sentient?

[Now she just feels confused, and doesn't mean it if she says anything insulting, she just doesn't think about more than one thing at a time.]

Well... just because all you know is boxing doesn't mean those skills can't be effective for other things... like if you made your target a nail in a board rather then another bot I bet you could build houses and such.

Unfortunately I am not certain about that. I rarely communicated even with other boxers.

[They hadn't really needed to, after all. And he certainly hadn't needed to talk to any of the transport he'd been in.]

I had not considered it that way, but I suppose I could. Even though nails are not legal opponents.

Were you always able to think about things like this before?

Well of course I understand. Mom and Dad were always trying to tell me they knew better and that what I thought was important to me wasn't as important as I thought.

It got really frustrating when they did that.

Sometimes what matters to you is more important than they realize. Or at least, it is important to you and should not be dismissed out of turn.

[He never actually had the opportunity to be dismissed like that, of course, but still.]

Even parents can be wrong about some things, when it comes to what matters to their children.
