[Video] [Originating from Trionic temple]

[The video feed shows a very serious, very large Autobot. He looks calm, but... not particularly happy at the moment.]

My designation is Skyfire, Autobot scientist. I have just arrived and received a basic explanation, so that part is covered, mostly. Hard to believe as it might be.

That said - If there are any other Autobots from the same Cybertron I come from, that would be nice to know.

[He certainly understands the feeling, Skyfire. jetfire's expression tightens a little.]

We could still try, since we are... ah, similar, though we might not have done the same modifications, so you might not even have the issues I had.

[A pause, as Jetfire rubs his lower face thoughtfully.]

If it doesn't work, you could perhaps ask the Firstforged whose glyph you wear... or Liege Maximo. But the latter would definitely want assistance in what I was going to help with when I had the... er, accident.

I suppose it would be worth a try, then. At least to know for sure if I have to start thinking of different options...

[Then he pauses for a moment and grins, a little sheepish.]

Ah, but I should be trying to get used to this place in general, first.

[Priorities. He has them sometimes.]

Might be an idea, but I certainly understand the urge... [Jetfire laughs briefly, but then shakes his helm.]

Besides the necessity of getting the data and my own curiosty for it, I accepted the mod exactly to let me go into space as I should be able to. Even with the potentially lethal issues attached to going near the Lambda that the excursion would involve.

[His optics has dimmed a little in guilt. Maybe he was a bit... hasty, but by now he can escape Cybertron's orbit whenever he wants to, tied to getting data from the Lambda or not.]

Currently we're having some large mechanoid critters plauging the Haven. That's not the usual situation, but you might want to be aware of it.

[Not that even the largest of those bugs are larger than either Jetfire or Skyfire.]

Mmm. I have to admit, I can't say I would've acted differently. [He did, after all insist on coming closer to that storm...]

So this isn't the usual situation. Good to know.

I wouldn't, and didn't, which is... ah, part of the issue. [Jetfire shrugged and then shook his helm.]

Luckily, it isn't. It would be a lot more intolerable if so. Really, until these centipedes, nothing that has happened so far as really come into the temples, so usually they would be safe for those present that would need the protection of somewhere secure.

[Which is really part of the problem with these; if there is no safe place, those who can't fight and have less protection otherwise are in greater danger.]

Well, that much is a relief, at least. It's one thing to be prepared to deal with dangerous situations, but if it's not constantly like this, then... at least there'll be time to recover.

Indeed. Even with more resources than average, constantly being worn down by attacks would leave us no better off than if there were hardly any energon available and the situation was always under control.

Hm... [A brief pause and then Jetfire continues and there might be a small smile hidden at the corners of his mouth. Maybe.] I have found a building on the mountain that Liege Maximo's temple inhabits that had the beginnings of a lab, and I've added onto it since then, which what I've been able to...

[Skyfire may be a bit taller than he is, but the building, since it fit him, would definitely allow the space and height for Skyfire as well.]

[And everything else suddenly stops being a priority as soon as a lab is mentioned, of course.]

Really? You wouldn't mind?

Not at all. [Well, he might have if Skyfire had been someone else, but, ahem.]

... I'll point out, however, that Starscream going to be something of a... ah, feature. [A shrug and a dry expression crosses his faceplates.] I attempted to keep it somewhat unknown, but it didn't last more than a while.

[He grins again, and if it looks just a little sad, well. It's not your imagination.]

I can imagine. He seems to enjoy the attention.

[It's hard to miss it and while he doubts their backgrounds are... exactly the same, he can imagine any number of variants from the details that could lead to an expression like that. His optics dim a little.]

That would be the least of it. And despite what he says, he likes to be involved in everything.

[Even the science, if to just flutter around and say something disparaging.]

Either way... there's enough space and, if we're willing to perform a bit of construction, the area could probably be expanded as necessary as well. The equipment is something lacking [Jetfire frowns, but equipment like that, like many other things, are lacking in general) but with some patience I hope to end up with more than there is at present.

... ah. Somehow that doesn't surprise me.

[Even with what little he's seen of this Starscream, he can already tell a few differences with the one from his world. But still... some things remain the same.]

I don't mind helping to build whatever's needed. And even a basic laboratory is more than I expected... To be honest, I didn't think I would find anything like that so soon.

[There's a slight twist to Jetfire's mouth because well...]

Otherwise he wouldn't be Starscream, hmm.

And yes, finding this building was more than I expected as well. Liege's temple has quite a few laboratories and at least a full complement of basic equipment to use if requested, but... I do prefer a somewhat less... dependent space.

[Not that he'd say anything to cast aspersions on the Firstforged, but some healthy wariness towards the individual who'd orchestrated a dissection of a life sharkticon felt... prudent.]

Mmm. That's right.

[And he allows himself a small smile at that. The memories are still fond, no matter what.]

It's quite reasonable, yes. Just the fact that schedule arrangements are not an issue is more than enough to justify it.

Something like that, yes. Perhaps I should let you settle in a bit, and then we decide when to meet up at some later date?

[It sort of itches in his circuits to ask now, but... patience, and there's probably been more than enough introduced at the moment to keep Skyfire occupied.]
