Alright, I think I understand what was explained to me, while it sounds different from what happened to Cliffjumper in some ways, it also sounds similar.

Greetings friends, I am searching for those who might know me, Decepticons most likely. If there is anyone here who recognizes my voice, please contact me here.

Beyond that I am curious if there is other information that is prudent to know. Beyond that which I was briefed on when I awoke. Is my lack of memory for arriving here standard for everyone, or could there be a potential for damage?

Hmm.

[ This voice sounds familiar and yet the words it is shaping are completely out of character for the Megatron that Ratchet knows. He flicks through some of the other replies on the Link and, ah. It's an alternate universe one. ]

I know you, but the Megatron I know is almost completely your inverse in every single way. [ There's a pause, then a wry smile implied in his tone of voice as he continues. ] Which is a good thing, given that mine is a psychotic despot with a megalomaniac complex.

[It was a good thing this was a voice post or else Megatron would have embarrassed himself with the expression he had when he heard the voice. It was a unique mixture of fear and surprise.]

Pardon me, but might I know your name? To confirm or deny certain possibilities of course.

[Forgive him if he isn't making direct responses to what you've said yet, he really needs to take care of this thing first.]

[ Ratchet pauses, when he hears the apprehension in Megatron's voice, then sighs audibly and flicks to video, because that might make this a touch easier. ]

I'm Ratchet. Given the circumstances, I'd like to remind you that I'm probably the exact inverse of whoever that name belongs to where you come from.

[When the video pops up Megatron's vocalizer makes a sound that may or may not be able to be called a shriek before the video shuts back off. It only once his processor catches up with all of what had been said that he turns the video back on, looking slightly sheepish.]

I apologize... [His vocalizer crackles a little before settling back into it's normal range.] I was not expecting that and... forgive me but, while you are not the person I was thinking of, you do bear a strong resemblance and the same name.

I do hope you will understand that as most likely as the person with whom I share a name from your world isn't someone you would likely appreciate meeting in this situation. The person whom shares your name from my world would be a tragic individual to have here.

... Right.

[ Ratchet rubs at his chevron, embarrassed, which highlights its decidedly not-green colouration. ]

You know, I've tried to keep from thinking to hard about what the inverse of myself would be like, but I understand why he might be ... unwanted.

Still, no matter what he's like, I can guarantee that I take my oaths seriously, and that I'll do my best to treat you if you need medical care. [ A pause, then a bit of a frown. ] There are a few others around now who could tend to you if you don't want to see me, but I have a feeling that you'll have the same inverse problem with all of them.

[ Especially First Aid. Ratchet can only imagine what his inverse might be like. ]

[Yeah, he really does understand the difference, it's just that split second reaction that comes from knowing how awful a person like that is.]

I honestly doubt he ever even considered taking oaths. For what it is worth, please know that I do realize the difference between you and him. There are just some associations that are hard to simply forget or ignore. I doubt such will be necessary for myself. I consider myself a fairly reasonable mech, so learning to accept this should not be too difficult.

[Really Ratchet probably didn't want to know about how any of the Autobots were in Megatron's world.]

I see. No, this... shouldn't be hard at all.

[ Ratchet smiles, perhaps a bit hesitantly, but it's an effort! ]

Well. If you have time, I wouldn't mind being able to give you a check up, but if that's not something within your comfort range... I would understand.

Feel free to call on me if you need medical attention, either way.

[Megatron considers this for a short time, before smiling in return, it's not a smile with the full force of his personality behind it, but it is an honest smile.]

I think, having the opportunity to experience you as a medic, out side of what could be a highly stressful situation, would be the best idea for all parties. It's not unheard of for people to forget who is or isn't an ally when injuries are involved.

[More fair than he would have expected from any mech designated "Megatron", actually, but then, if this mech is the opposite, then he's more Optimus than anyone else, right?]
