[Have a . . . very strange creature glaring at the camera. When it speaks though, the deep baritone gives it - him - away, if the coloration didn't.]

All right, I won't ask the obvious. I can guess well enough what's happened - the widespread metamorphoses finally caught up with me. I do have one question, though.

[He lifts a four-digit paw, studying the long, curving, ultra-sharp talons - a thick, muscular tail thumping in irritation on the ground behind him - before he turns back to the camera.]

Can someone tell me what in the smelting fires of the Pit this body is supposed to be? It seems confused between an bird and a . . . I think a cat of some sort. [grumbles] And I want my wings back. My wings, not these...filament-covered...appendages. [Said "appendages" ruffle and flutter in reaction.]

First-forged, with all due respect, I hope an answer to all this nonsense is coming. Soon.

[He reaches to turn off his comm, but . . . long talons are ill-equiped to press buttons without either slipping off to either side between keys or scratching and trying to poke through the target key. Finally, though, he manages.]

((ooc: LOL believe it or not, no, I had NOT been thinking about this when I requested TC's shift. XD;;; A friend pointed it out this afternoon when I showed them the drawing. I died. XD))

Well, there's a lake.

[See that grin? Yeah, he miight warp you up in the air above the lake. Sink of swim... or rather fly or sink, perhaps.]

You're probably thinkin' too hard, is all.

[Shrug and then a look with an arched upper optic ridge. Come on now, coordinates or he'll do something like just warp Thundercracker around indefinitely in the air, dropping him repeatedly before a portal catches him or something, when he does find Thundercracker... It's not as if a blue eagle-lion would be hard to spot.]

[Heavy sigh – see this put-upon expression, Warpy? Just one more thing you probably see a lot of from him. Or if you didn't before, you'll likely get it from THIS "him" frequently enough.]

I'm in my quarters in Alpha Trion's temple. I'll meet you outside the main gate.

...as soon as I figure out how to open the door. [Without hands and without the ability to send a silent signal from his onboard systems, that's proving a little harder than you might think.]

As if you're gonna get out like that.

[And that's a really evil smile for a moment and while the put-upon expression is rather new - the Thundercracker he knows tends to be a bit more flat stoic - he dimisses it all the same.

And then the video just cuts out and a klik or so later Skywarp just invites himself right in by appearing in a purple fade-in and a curious humming noise.]

That just looks even odder in person. [Skywarp pauses, helm tilting. Odd and unsettling, but he's seen some crazy stuff, so he's not going to jitter right out of his frame because of this.] Okay otherwise, though?

[Flat stoic is this TC's primary default as well . . . but there are times . . . ]

[And it's a testament to just how out of sorts the normally unfazable Seeker is that he hadn't even considered Skywarp jumping himself HERE instead of him going out to meet the teleporter. The telltale sound just before appearance alerts him and he shifts to make sure he's well out of the way. Then he huffs softly.]

If you think it looks weird, you should try being in this body. [He shrugs, powerful shoulders moving under layers of feathers.] Otherwise? Yeah, I guess. I'm not injured or in pain or anything. Just . . . Primus-damned awkward. [He fixes his wingmate with a narrow, birdy glare.] No throwing me off cliffs or anything like that, all right?

Heh, no thanks. I'm fine where I am!

[Sucks to be you, TC! Skywarp just grins at the glare, twitching his own shoulders in a shrug and flicking his wings.]

Well, I'm not gonna kill you so don't worry 'bout it.

[He waves a hand dismissively, golden optics glittering on their own. Don't worry, if he does that, he's sure to catch Thundercracker if he ends up not being able to fly.]

So let's get out of here and try those wings. [And... compared to how he arrived this time Skywarp half turns and a swirling, purplish-white portal appears close to the wall the door out is.

Don't try to look to hard into it, Thundercracker.]

[There's even a strange little bow that has nothing military over it, or even particularly obesciant, more like some version of polite, and all the tell-tale signs of being second-nature. Though with Skywarp's usual mocking flair.]

[The door is definitely a new thing. His Skywarp would do the same jump with other people as solo, just that the spatial distortion would encompass the additional mass. The door gets a curious look before he steps through it, looking around at the new destination.]

[Luckily for Thundercracker, it wasn't up in the air, but rather simply outside the temple, as far as a single warp could take them, and Skywarp follows right after Thundercracker.]

Better, huh? So let's see what you can do!

[Not that Skywarp believes it'll be particularly impressive, given it's an organic winged body, even with Thundercracker's skill and power.]

[Thundercracker KNOWS it won't be particularly impressive, given how awkward and uncoordinated he is. Still, he gives Skywarp a nod, then begins flapping his wings as hard as he can. After a moment, he can feel the lift, though it's not enough. Grunting in frustration, he pauses, shaking a growing ache from his wings. Reluctant, he admits momentary defeat.]

Maybe I need to be in the air to start with after all.

[Pit, what's he getting himself into?]

[Eyeing the surrounding landscape, Skywarp grinned.]

If ya can't do it, and I don't catch you in time, there'll be a soft landing at least.

[The portal, this time opened up right in front of Thundercracker. And Skywarp was... somewhat aware that for organic things, landing in water at speed wasn't "soft" at all, but it didn't matter. It wasn't as if he'd actually let Thundercracker hit the surface of the lake if he really couldn't make use of his wings.

Enjoy appearing a full few miles above the lake if you dare to step through the portal, TC?]

[Thundercracker didn't know for sure, but he'd heard that hitting a water surface at any kind of speed was . . . well, a really bad thing. But what could he do? Besides, when push came to shove - as foolish as some might to tell say it was - he did trust Skywarp and knew the mech could catch him.]

[He looked around out and up above him, trying to spot the other end of the warp anomaly, but he couldn't find it. Oh, well . . . here went nothing! With a resolute grunt, he jumped through the portal - ]

[ - into instant freefall! He'd guessed there'd be no ground under him on the other side. What he hadn't counted on was the fact that, with nothing to put his front feet on, he'd not remain "upright" but wind up DIVING headfirst! Frantic, he twisted and flipped his body, wings flapping madly, till he got himself more or less leveled off and could properly spread his wings at the same time. The wind caught under them and . . . gliding! He was GLIDING! Maybe this would work after all!]

[A bit of a miscalculation, that - maybe, anyway, since as soon as he saw what had happened, Skywarp laughed even as he dived to catch up, and then passed Thundercracker before the not-Seeker had managed to get some sort of control over what he was doing.

Aiming upwards again, Skywarp ended up flying on his back underneath Thundercracker, smirking.]

Not so bad, was it?

[Thundercracker craned his head down a bit, careful not to upset his precarious balance.]

This is serviceable. It'd be better if I knew I could steer, though-AH!

[A wrong twitch of muscles and his wings folded on him. He dropped onto Skywarp, massive claws and talons unintentionally digging into seams and joints for purchase as he scrabbled on reflex to keep from falling off his wingmate. With a squawk of frustrated determination, he launched himself once more, powerful back legs shoving off from Skywarp's canopy as the not-Seeker stretched his wings out once more, legs tucked up underneath him. Flapping a few times, he managed to stay aloft. Then he experimented, tilting the angle of his wings just a little, squawking again in victory as he banked around to one side.]
