[Ambulon is holding up a cat. A very small kitty. You may recognize the cat, actually.]

I've... recently come into possession of Whirl's cat. Splat, I think is its name. It appears a little malnourished.

[He looks at the cat. The cat looks at him. It is a tense two seconds.]

I used the wikireader to research these animals, and it... It was. Interesting. To say the least. But I have a good idea on what I need to... feed it. Does anyone have any cat food? Or, you know, general tips on how to-- [Splat coughs up a hairball on his hand] ... take care of cats.

He does look a bit underfed, nothing that should get better with some decent feeding for a time period, don't know what the wikireader has on cats but you should be able to see a difference between their stomach and hips when you look at them top down, [she traces the shape in the air with her fingers to denote what she means] but you shouldn't see their rib bones through their skin, soft touch should be able to find them under a thin layer of fat though.

Some stuff to remember about cats, they aren't always social by nature, but they should be exposed to handling on a frequent basis. Petting and grooming are good ways to do that, with grooming having the benefit of removing extra hair so the cat doesn't make as many hairballs like the one he just gifted you with. If you are going to keep him in a room, which is probably safest, you should have toys for him and play with him. I can make a few for you if you want, and lazer points to give 'em a dot of light to chase around the floor tends to be a good way to do things. Play time should be like simulated hunting, if that helps the idea any.

I have two cats at home so I can give you plenty of information on how to take care of them.

Ah. Two? [That sounds kind of insane; anyway] Well, if you'd like, you're free to come by. I might need someone to watch him while I work, to make sure he's alright. At least for a few days. [It's more a suggestion than an offer, but you can take it either way you want.]

I would be happy to help if you need it, while he is still recuperating it would probably be good to have someone with him as much as possible.

I can even see if some of the stuff I find will get his attention for playing with. and I can try to make it something easy for you to use, since I'm sure after dealing with work you probably don't want to be restricted to toys designed to be held by humans to wear Splat out so he will sleep.

Right. If I should drop him off, would you watch him while I'm away? At least just until he's fit and healthy again.

By the way, you don't have to "walk" cats, do you?

Sure, I am mostly at Bulkhead's room so I'm even in Solus's temple, which should make it easier.

Not normally, some people can train cats to go for walks, but unless you start when they are really young it's super hard and they normally won't like it. The play hunting is all the exercise cats require, they actually sleep a lot of the time.

Sounds good. Are you gonna keep it's name? If you want to change it, it's best to start with a new one right away. Cats have a bit of a hard time with name changes normally.

No. I'm no... good with names. Besides, he answers to it and I'll keep it in Whirl's... memory, or something.

Names can be hard... trust me, my cats back home, are chichi and ding dong. Splat isn't the worst cat name by far.
