 [It'd been a month since Magnus left.

The commander had been gone that long before, and Wheeljack almost expected the same this time around.  So...when that time rolled around, and still no Magnus after constantly searching the feed...

It was time to call it quits.

The feed opens up to show a room-...or what's left of one. The walls are cracked, scorched, bent, or indented in some places, although that seems to be the most of the damage. The berth is relatively untouched, and any of Miko's and Bulkhead's belongings are actually safe from damage. Wheeljack's own stuff? a different story. Only one thing of Wheeljack's was left untouched--the sword Blurr gave him--which was put under the bed weeks prior.

Sounds like someone had a tantrum, and it shows, with Wheeljack standing in the center of the room, panting heavily from all the lashing out...at the wall.

...Do you feel better now, princess?]

Ngh...

[He slumps against the wall, sinking to the ground and curling up.  

...Just like old times.]

Ah, behold! He grins.

[He does what he can, after all. Barricade shifts back to base mode, only shutting the lights and sirens off when everything clicks into place. He offers a little bow.]

[And immediately, the Wrecker tries to hide it. He shouldn't be smiling right now, given the situation. But it's hard.]

Yeah yeah...

[There's a handwave at that bow. Fancy fake!police/doctors.]

T'be fair, everyone loves the sirens.

[Don't worry, he's got this covered. He's never had anyone not enjoy them unless they're hungover.]

Little of column A, little of column B. Depending on how much prodding I have t'give you to let me take a look at you.

[That and they came standard with the model he scanned.]

Ain't modest. Just don't think half of em are necessary.

[He holds out his hands, though.]

That's what us medics are for; to inconvenience their patients as much as possible.

[Having been on both sides of the divide himself... about a million times.]

Just don't flail around and we'll be good.

[He takes one of the offered hands, all four optics focusing on it to check for scrapes, dents, and other injuries.]

Finally a doc who gets it.

[He won't flail, but there's obviously some fidgeting.]

Told ya, the room's in worse shape than I am.

Well, did kinda get my start as the patient.

[Fidgeting he can handle quite well.]

Maybe. Difference is, the walls don't actually feel pain. You on the other hand.

Most docs don't. Glad there's at least one exception to the rule.

[He surveys his own hands as Barricade inspects them.]

Didn't hurt...that much.

T'be fair, most of them are actually professional.

[This was his desperate attempt to escape being Yet Another Gladiator.]

It hurt you more than it hurt the wall. Just the wall happens to look worse than you do.

That's not sayin' much. Accordin' to Doc Knock, he's a professional too.

Ngh...what's the damage?

Well, let's just say I was warrior first, eh? Though Knock Out's technique is... very Decepticon.

[Which makes Barricade worry on occasion.]

Not too bad. A good buffing f'r the scratches and it should heal on its own - if you can avoid punching things for a while.

Somehow I'm not surprised.

[Because he's not. At all. It's like he knows him or something crazy like that.]

Told ya. I...I heal pretty fast.

What gave it away? The marvelously thick armor? The fact that I have flails in my wrists?

[He'll play coy anyway. That's just how he rolls.]

[He inspects Barricade's a moment, before flicking his eyes back up.]

[He returns those hands, shifting his position a bit.]

Don't gotta be a Wrecker f'r that club, fortunately or un-. Luckily there's enough medics around here to handle that sorta thing.

[He chuckles, flicking the plating on his own forearm.]

Definitely not the only one. Some folks have had most everything on them replaced at one time or another.

Enough medics, yeah, but enough that don't get tired of our scrap? Whole different story.

[He watches that plating, his own wings flicking.]

That depends entirely on how tedious and silly the injuries are, in my experience.

[He pauses briefly before laughing.]

I only wish. I'd welcome that challenge.
