[video] Transmitting from the Hub
[Blurr knew that his post is mostly aimed to Cybertronians. However, he hopes the organics will listen to as well. Considering, the last problematic events and the recent anniversary he felt like speaking up.]
Some of us had been here for a whole year. Many things have happened, good and the bad. Some of them really bad. [Blurr huffs, briefly, the shadow of a smile in his lips for a second before it’s gone.]
For all is worth, I plea to those who have trouble forgetting the past to take a moment of their time to remember that no matter what universe you come from, what factions you sympathize with, we all came from the same place and we will be all reunited again in death. Perhaps it’s time to be brothers again here before our time comes.
There was that organic… I learned about him when I was on Earth. He said "A house divided against itself cannot stand".
The last time we lost our freedoms, the last time we lost our home, and it was because we destroyed it ourselves. I’m not asking you all to get along; I only hope that we don't repeat the same mistakes we did in the past.
Thank you for your attention.
[Locked to the Decepticons | Excluding Tarn, Frenzy, bayverse Megatron and IDW Megatron.]
I know that some of you might be nervous after the recent announcements and actions of your leaders. I already talked to some about this but I’d like to extend my offer to all of you.
A mech’s freedom is his own business and it’s the Police Force duty to prevent and redress all possible wrongs. If you are coerced into doing something you don’t agree with or you believe that you might be in danger please let us know.
We will do our best to protect you. You have my word.

Have you ever talked to Fracas?

But there are also ones who still abide by Decepticon values. Ones who would like nothing more than to see us killed. Ones who find JOY in murdering those close to us, shielding themselves behind righteous reasons.
You cannot look me in the eye and say that it is a good idea to let those ones have an equal vote in this place.
no subject
I’m familiar with them too, Mirage, just because I would like us to not kill each other doesn’t mind that I’m not aware that many here will ignore that request.
That sort of mechs are morally responsible for everything they do and it won’t be tolerated. So far we had our ups and down and Tarn got in due to a flawed system. I'm not naïve or prideful enough to deny that.
The issue with Chromedome was unexpected for all of us too and for that I apologize. I know that we can't expect people to have respect for the law, we can't expect them to trust us, until we teach respect to those who enforce those laws.
But we are quickly learning and our flawed system is changing already. It's been just a year, many things still need to be done.
no subject
At least you admit it is a flawed system.
[Much to Mirage's relief. Because this was quite the flaw.]
But if this keeps happening, you will only lose the faith of the people you swore to protect. Remember that, dragonfly. I do not mean to sound so angry, but this could have easily been avoided if for a simple background check.
We will start tripping over our own feet if we do not watch ourselves.
This makes...sense, I hope?
no subject
Yes, I am aware. It would be foolish to deny it. This is a young planet and has a newborn system. Unfortunate as they are, mistakes turn out to be the one thing necessary to a worthwhile achievement. We can learn from all this and change our ways of action.
[He's also going to talk with Chromedome about what was he trying to do. Brainwashing is a NO, NO in Blurr's books, even if it involved Tarn.]
I was aware of Tarn's background and I voiced my concerns when the time came, like some other mechs here. He had enough votes and got elected as a member of the Law Committee against my will too, there was nothing me or the Police Force could do about that.
Did you vote, Mirage? It seems like many people ignored the voting altogether and it worries me that no one seems to care about anything unless it turns into a problem. And by the time that happens the issue is too difficult to fix.
[Blurr is not sure what to think about that. It worried him and that's why he made this post.] The issue with Chromedome, however... I was not expecting that.
[He nods at the last question, his face more sad than serious.]
no subject
[Feel free to talk to his husband about that, Blurr. He'll spill the whole details.]
I did not. At the time I was unaware there even was one. I simply trusted your judgement after the fact. Perhaps it was not ignorance and more that the Police Force needs to start doing background checks.
[His wings flick up, obviously a little on edge with that.]
no subject
[He wants to, but he doesn't want to hurt the little mech. So he's trying to be careful.]
I was against it as well and I brought the issue to Skids when he made the post about the possible candidates. That's why I voted against him. [Blurr is annoyed too that both Ambulon and his complains fell on deaf ears.]
The background checks, however, those who are related to members of the police Force are my responsibility and for that I apologize. I should have checked Chromedome's background further but Prowl knew him and I trustee him.

If you have something to say, just say it.
no subject
Feeling guilty?
Although I will admit, I had Shockwave more in mind than you.
And...him.
no subject
Not guilty. Just curious what warrants stripping the rights of half a demographic in this... burgeoning society of ours.
One that your boyfriend is convinced I still belong to.
Or would you hold everyone here accountable for all that killing they've done? Because I dare say if you did, there wouldn't be enough people left to bother with government systems.
no subject
I do not see how giving the same rights to a mass murderer is equally as fair. And no offense to the cause you no longer belong to, but they come from there ninety percent of the time.
...We are not dating.
[Those wings fold down immediately, as if it struck a nerve.]
And I have had my words with him on that subject. I...as they say...stuck neck out for you.
no subject
Mm, ignoring all those... oh-so charming folks on your side of the fence, I see. I do have files on your people, after all. Sure they weren't updated after our ship crashed, but it's fascinating reading. Especially the kill counts.
[Barricade quirks both his right brow ridges.]
Yeah? And when were you planning on telling him you wanna change that?
You think he's gonna listen? His head is thicker than the Hoover Dam; ain't nothing getting though there. And I can handle myself. I'm not afraid of him, or whatever he thinks he knows or does with what he thinks he knows.
Locked
[His voice is disgustingly venomous at even mentioning that name.]
...I'm not going to tell him. I am having enough trouble deciding how to break it to him. He's...noticing a difference in me.
[His wings flutter though, perking up.]
He's Sideswipe. Of course he won't listen.
Locked
Well when you live with someone they tend to notice that you don't sleep. Especially if you happen to share a berth with them.
[He flicks one clawed hand almost dismissively.]
Then why bother 'sticking your neck out' for me to him?
Locked
[A...vague piece of advice? Sorta... More like a subtle threat.]
...
You've aided me. As fruitless as it was, I would do the same. I cannot guarantee results.
Locked
[Considering he's willing to needle at servants of Unicron in person...]
Taking on tasks you know you will fail? Careful. Someone might start to think you have a complex.

You keep the secret for the same reason I stick my neck out for you. At least that is what I believe.

It is as you said. I do not know.
Perhaps we're not meant to.
