[Well, look who crawled out of his hole. Finally. He's also turning over a weird, crystal thing he found recently, clearly trying to figure out what it is he's looking at.]
Has... anyone else seen anything like this before? I've been wondering what it's used for, if anything.
[He was using it as a lamp.]
[And then he goes quiet, his curious expression abruptly covered by that blank expression he tries to wear so often.]
...
It's passed July 4th. Isn't it?
[Sir, you are terrible with dates for all your memory obsession, you should be ashamed.]

No fireworks or anything! WHAT KIND OF PATRIOTS ARE WE?!
[Sob.]
[Video]
Aw well, it's not that great. I can't even eat hot dogs.
Anyway, that looks like a hunk of meth.
[Video]
[You know, sir, whoever you are, you're sort of weird. And coming from him, that's saying something.]
A hunk of what?
[Video]
It's drugs!
[Video]
... what?

... How can you eat a rock?
[Video]
Or shove it up your-- [COUGH COUGH.]

I'm sure there could be other uses as well, however.
[Jetfire smiles slightly and then tilts his helm.]
Fourth of July..? A human thing, I assume?
video;
[He turns it over in his hands a few times.]
I wouldn't know. This is the first I've ever seen of it.
[A nod.]
So I'm told.
video;
[He taps his chin thoughtfully, optics brightening a little. He should be able to tell if it is or not, he's been taking what samples he've been able to around the Haven and further out.]
Somewhat important, then, since you thought about asking over its passing?
video;
Does it live in the water, normally?
[Kagerou, rocks don't live. Never mind, not important. He shrugs a little.]
... When it was mentioned to me, it sounded like it was important.
video;
[He chuckles a bit at the comment about living, but nods.]
Various liquid mediums, yes, plus isolated underground pockets, like caves, or in rock. Usually on astroids.
Ah. You don't know, exactly, what it is, or commemorates, then?
video;
[Explain science to him.]
Mm. So... maybe it is natural for this place.
No -- it wasn't explained to me. And I've never seen it happen before.
video;
You shave off thin layers of it, or break it into very tiny, basically gravel-sized, chunks, depending on the planned use for them. Aince the method used, plus the shape of the useable smaller pieces will determine how you use it, and for what.
[Jetfire nods, humming thoughtfully.]
And it's very possible it is, considering the amount of raw materials to be found here, given that this Cybertron is very young compared to what anyone else of us know.
I see. But yes, it probably has passed, tough matching Earth-related time to this Cybertron to give you an exact of how long ago would require to take into account the thirty two hour day we have here, and set up an equation for the difference...
Hardly impossible, however.
[At all, really. If he had all the data, it'd take him a nano-klik or so, perhaps.]
video;
[Maybe he can ask someone to make something useful, or try himself, even though he honestly has no idea how to fashion weaponry.]
I see.
[He shakes his head a little.]
You don't need to. It's not important... I was only wondering.
