[The video flickers to life showing the faceplates of a grinning black and white mech. Albeit, a wary one.]

Alright, so apparently I’m not in Kansas anymore!

[He laughs at his own joke, clearly he’s not as worried as he should be.]

Is there any bot around that can lend a mech a hand? I ain’t digging this new scene without some backup.

….although this place is pretty cool. Especially with-

[He cuts himself off, shaking his helm to keep on track. He can’t lose his focus until he finds his crew. If they’re even there.]

Yo, Optimus? Bulkhead? Ratchet? Any of you bots out there? Frag, I’d even settle for the twins and Sentinel.

[And now he feels like reminiscing about his old team. Man, did they have some good times!]

Can anyone answer? Any mech, femme, or life out there-

[His visor brightens as he tilts his helm to the left, grinning in amusement.]

Well, besides the bots I woke up to, that is.

This place is on a whole other level! A new scene and everything! Ya feel me?

[He continues to grin, shifting his weight from ped to ped.]

Ah well, I’ve said all I needed to. If anyone is digging this frequency, give a mech a call! Jazz, Third in Command of the Elite Guard, out!

[He shuts the video off, feeling at ease with his introduction. He hoped someone would get back to him soon, but for now he had a new planet to explore! Solid.]

Magnus would have my head if the Steel Haven got destroyed. [Sigh] One of the Bulkheads told me that time apparently works differently in our own universes while were here but... if no-ones gotten back I have no idea how he knows that.

[He grins slightly] I hear Torkulon is nice this time of year. Shame about all the organic slag all over it.

[Jazz is gonna have his work cut out! Sentinel's default emotion is anger.]

[Jazz shuddered. UM was a mech who deserved respect and admiration... but frag, he could be down right scary when he wanted to be!]

Hey, the universe works in mysterious ways, ya dig? Maybe there's a reason we're here. [Totally reassuring. Yep.]

[Jazz is probably going to follow Sentinel around like a puppy. A really loud, dragging-his-friend-to-explore, bugging the slag out of everyone, making sure no one goes insane even if it might be too late, puppy.]

[He shrugs, luckily Ultra Magnus never really lost his cool with Sentinel. Deserving of respect and admiration, indeed.]

...That's one way of putting it, yeah. So far from what I gather, it's to explore the planet. [He pouts slightly and rubs the back of his neck] I haven't actually done much exploring yet, though. This temple is in an area that needs a lot of climbing. Not really something I want to do alone. [HINT HINT NUDGE NUDGE]

[Sentinel would never admit it, but he'd probably enjoy Jazz's company. He's been keeping to himself for weeks now, and it's starting to get rather boring.]

[Jazz gave Sentinel a bemused smile. A lot of times he could read Sentinel like a book, other times? Sentinel could be as hard to read as an XXX-Pin Up. Yikessss.]

Well, I just got here so... Wanna meet up and go on an adventure? Like, when we went on scouting missions all those cycles ago? [Not that long ago, he mused to himself. Frag, he's not that old!]

[Yes, let Jazz drag you out of your room like an angry parent who wants their kids to get out more.]

Yeah, you might wanna get a room before you go out exploring. They're pretty big!

[He sounds excited. Ooooh it's just like those times with Optimus again!!]

[He's grinning again. Those missions were pretty fun! Even for a no fun allowed bot like Sentinel, Jazz's personality makes it easy for the two to get along.]

Wait, we get our own rooms? Not like, sharing any with other bots like back in the Academy or Bootcamp?

[Welp, that's certainly new!]

[I deserve a high five for existing. Being awesome is hard work, but eh, having his best bot around makes this funky jam tens times easier to deal with.]

No more being kept up all night by some mech's snoring! [God does Sentinel hate sharing.]

The rooms are huge, Jazz. You have no idea, they're not built for bots our size. There's a fair number of them, you can basically just bunk up in the first empty room you find.

[Sniff] Mine's right up in the tower of Vector Prime's temple, got a great view of the canyon.

[He can attest to that. Sharing a room with an unwilling roommate sucked slag.]

Wow, I've never been one to just bunk up where I wanted. Sounds cool. [No, really. After being assigned to specific bunks for vorns, this is pretty rad!]

[He can't help but send Sentinel a teasing grin.] A room with a view, huh? [He mock gasps, all in good fun after all.] I never knew you had taste, Sent!

[He nods] Me neither. Then again, I've fallen into recharge at my desk more times than I care to remember.

Of course! Probably one of the best rooms as well.

[He remembers that one time when he slept in the Autobot Base's rafters, on Earth. It took hours before Prowl found him.] Well, with all those reports ya need to fill out after every mission, I'm not surprised. [Every. Fragging. Misson.]

[He snorts, completely amused and not surprised.] I can believe that. You can really choose em', Sent.

Eh, you get used to it. I thought he gave you the same amount of work, anyway?

[He raises his optic ridges in mock surprise.] Did you have any doubts?

[He shrugs, not mentioning that he may have given Sentinel a few of his own datapads once in a while. Hey, the Prime is a natural at filling out reports!] Well, besides making sure our stories are straight, they give us different slag to deal with. Man, Sent, you have no idea how many reports I get on bots makin' a mess of each other.

[His visor dims in irritation, but only for a nanoklick.] We're supposed to be fighting 'cons, not each other.

[He gives Sentinel an easy grin, shaking his helm.] On your sense of style? Nah, mech. That's why we get on so well, ya dig? [In all honesty, it's Sentinels taste in friends. Besides himself, of course. (cough- KO- cough)]

[Yeah- might be a good idea to never mention that to him, ever. Paper work is fun but staying up all night to get it done isn't!]

[He rolls his shoulders in a nonchalant gesture of understanding.] Mh. Ultra Magnus wanted me to painstakingly note down everything the Jettwins did for analysis and further training. It honestly felt a bit... weird sometimes.

[There's no reply to Jazz's irritant. While Sentinel is a very blunt bot, he doesn't really feel telling Jazz that personally he has no problem with cuffing a mech to put them in place would be a prudent topic for the situation. It comes as a vast relief when he shifts the subject onto the room again.]

Right? [They're not really friends, more volatile acquaintances. Don't worry Jazz, he'll be quick to deny any friendship with the 'Con, should the topic ever arise.]

[HAHAHA THAT'S WHAT JAZZ'S PUNISHMENT IS! SENTINELS LASTING GRUMPINESS. (I didn't choose the paperwork life it chose me, and by me I mean Sentinel)]

He made ya write all that down? [Jazz can't help but feel a bit miffed himself. It's not like those two were experiments or anything- HAHAHA (sobbing).]

So did you decorate your room at all? I heard there was a... Junkpile or somethin' around. [Bros before hos, yo.]

Yeah? They... kinda were experiments. Use your processor though; there's no point making a point of the De- [He catches himself. Prooooobably not a good idea to let the people of this new universe know about that.] their unique coding.

Junk Pile? I haven't been there yet, but I found some energon statue. I have no idea what to do with it, and it looks like its previous owner carved it into something. Don't really care, though. Guess it can just collect dust on my shelf.

[Frowning, Jazz shook his helm. He knew they were experiments, but that didn't mean they had to be treated as such. As if they weren't living beings with sparks and feelings and all that jazz- HAH!] Yeah, they're unique alright. [Insert scolding look.]

Huh, maybe it means something. [He shrugged his shoulder joints, curiosity peeked.] But hey, maybe we can go and check that place out! Maybe find somethin' useful? [In reality, he just wanted to see Sentinel faceplate to faceplate. Pestering the Prime over a video feed just wasn't the same as doing it in person!]

[He nods slightly. Don't like that tone, Jazz!!]

I doubt it; the thing's just a piece of junk.

[Sentinel wants to see Jazz face to face as well but uh... the Junk Pile?]

It's kinda... nasty. Random objects from other universes falling through the tear and everything.

[When you both meet up, his tone is going to be the least of the Primes worries. Muhahahahahaaaa.]

We don't have to go to the junkpile. [His grin twisted into a lopsided smile.] But it sounds interesting as frag! You don't know what you'll find! [Like a new chin- ew wait no. Would there be dead things in there?!]

[BIG SIGH] Fine, after you get settled in we can go see what's there.

[Holding his arms out with a laugh, he gave himself a once over before grinning back at Sentinel.] Mech, I think this is as 'settled' as I'm going to get.

[Time rifts do that to a bot! No warning, no time to pack your bags.]
