[It's been a while since Strelok was around, offering advice from living like a hobo in Russia or shooting Starscream in the eye to keep himself alive. And the reason it's been a while is because he went on an adventure without telling anyone! Whoops.

But he's back now, and making a transmission. Video, for once. Once of his hands is bandaged, and... is that a plant that's straining to try to snap a small energon goodie out of his fingers? He chuckles lightly.]

Ahh, I bet you missed these more than me, yes?

[He tosses the goodie to the plant, which catches it in its rather huge venus flytrap mouth. He looks to the camera after that.]

Well, I am back from the Badlands now. It was, perhaps, not so bad as it could have been, at least for me. I will be restocking my supplies later though, and if any of the humans need medical attention I can help.

[He pauses and locks things after a moment. Gonna keep this to a very few people just in case.]

I was able to get a look at the Badlands, while the others were being attacked. You will want to know what I saw, I think.

[As for mutants, well. Strelok sniffs briefly.]

Mutants - the ones back home - were ordinary creatures before. Some were even human. The Zone twisted them into strange monsters that will attack any human they seem. Some even have powers. They cannot be seen or they will scramble your brain to mush if they can get you. The best thing to do if you see them is shoot them and be done with it.

That...sounds..terrifying.

[But, at the same time, it was something that Lyra wanted to see--well, experience maybe? Because there wasn't a lot that scared her and while it sounded terrifying, she wouldn't accept it as such until she saw it.]

Think anything like that exists here?

They can be. Especially the bloodsuckers.

[Just bright red eyes in the dark. Strelok is accustomed enough to mutants that he doesn't fear them anymore so much as expect them. But really, all the warning in the world doesn't prepare people for the real thing.]

If it does, I hope it stays in the Badlands; I don't want to imagine Cybertronian mutants.

[Lyra's got an almost thoughtful look on her face, clearly planning something before she blinks and focuses on Strelok again.]

Yeah..wouldn't want things getting bad or anything.

[Oh, Strelok knows that look. ~~Because he gets it every time people tell him 'no'.~~ He looks back at Lyra, slyly.]

If you are plotting, then I should ask. Are you prepared for that kind of trouble?

[Lyra can't help but grin.]

Course I am. I ain't scared of anything.

Well, that is a good start, though fear can be helpful too, sometimes. Can you defend yourself from any monsters you do not fear?

Iorek, Lee, and the others all taught me how to defend myself. And I know it ain't bad to be scared all the time. But you can't let fear stop your from getting to your goal. That's what I've always been taught.

That is good, then, that you know that and that your friends have taught you. You have weapons?

Not yet, but I'll find something. Ain't going to go without a weapon. I do have Pan though; he's a good protector.

Weapons before hunting. [And for once, he wags a finger.] And not just a knife; few stalkers have pulled a knife on a mutant and lived to tell the tale. If you can get a gun, and ammo, that would be best.
