[He's been staring up at the skies again. Maybe even throwing glares at the Lambda. But it's not long after the feed begins that Hot Rod glances down, then double-takes as he pulls his arm in front of him slightly, taking a better look at the Glyph there.

It still looks a brilliant white- is it brighter? But there's a slight stroke of black around it, as though to better define it against his vivid paint job. Frowning, he lifts his other hand, hesitantly fingering it.]

...that can't be good.

Not really, no. [His smile is brief and sharp, but there.] I don't like that they just... change, but there doesn't seem to be anythin' to do about it.

[Which didn't sit well with him at all.]

Suppose a year is long enough to be able to claim it, even if we don't like or trust it.

Sounds more like it all depends on what we're doing in the first place.

[He shakes his head.]

This all is a lot more complicated than they made it out to be the first time I got here.

Yeah, I think that's what influences the changes, which is fraggin' unhelpful and stupid any way, 'cause that just means we can't really affect stuff conciously anyway.

[It frustrates him more probably because it sort of rankles that some of his behaviour is obviously Megatronus-approved.]

Don't remember bein' explained much beyond the fact that they gave protection or some slag, but yeah. Definitely not very straightforward.

[Hot Rod has to agree on that one. He's still wondering what he could have done that had caught the First-Forged's attention.]

-yeah, same here! ...although I guess at the time, there was more concern about that since some of us came without any glyphs.

[You and he both, because besides helping with the attack a good while ago, Cliffjumper isn't sure what he's done either.]

True... at least you've got one now, so what happened then won't happen now, so that oughta be one worry less.

[There's a bit of a squinty stare, though, but at least there is a glyph.]

[The reminder, no matter that it's never far from his mind, is still sobering. He manages not to shudder, instead giving a nod as he forces a lopsided grin, tapping a finger on his mark.]

Tell me about it. Prima wasn't sure about it at first, but it seems legit.

Suppose that's good enough, since it apparently can't be faked. [And the firsforged don't put them there themselves.]

So... kind of nothing to worry about, but I think I'm gonna stay alert anyway, 'cause with someone named Megatronus...

[Yeah, one of the first thirteen or not, this was a normal reality as far as Cliffjumper could see, so therefore... suspicious.]

[Hot Rod nods.]

-exactly. Think I'll be doing the same.

Yeah, 'cause so far, the only mech I've met that's had 'megatron' in his name and was all right was one from a mirror universe.

[Maybe he shouldn't be saying this so openly, but whatever.]

No kidding? Don't think I've met him.

[Cliffjumper gestures vaguely with one hand to his shoulders.]

Jet of some sort, got partly tranculscent blue wings on his back. Red Decepticon insignia and blue optics. And well. Really huge difference in personality.

Huh, well I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah, if only so ya don't end up shootin' him.

[Cliffjumper grins a little.]

He doesn't deserve it. And, uh. The Ravage from that universe's here too. White, red insignia.

[Don't shoot him either, please.]

Hey! I've been good. [He laughs a little.]

I was wondering about that. The Ravage I remember wasn't nearly as...talkative?

I met Glit though.

[Cliffjumper just grins and at, and then snorts.]

Yeah, Ravage never fraggin' shuts up. Only Sephie could get him absolutely quiet.

... Seen him. They look similar enough it's kinda confusin', even if Glit ain't an alternate of Ravage if I got it right.

[Not that he feels like getting it right, because Decepticon, but it had seemed useful. Necessary.]

[He can't help but look a little amused at that. It's a better subject than earlier, anyway.]

Kind of wondered about that. It was strange getting offered help from a Decepticon, but he didn't seem all that bad. A little annoyed that I hadn't heard of him, but that's about it.

[It certainly is, though at the mention of getting help from a Decepticon, Cliffjumper sort of twitches.]

Not seeming bad or not, don't trust that. Even if ya got help... you never know.

Though if he usually get confused for Ravage, any Ravage, I'd understand why he'd be annoyed.

Not sure if he's been confused with Ravage, but I can understand that too.

[He gives Hot Rod a narrow stare and frowns because if you let yourself be repaired by a Decepticon, does he really? ... Even if he might not have had a choice.]

Rrr... I suppose it might be frustratin' to get somewhere and have no one recognise who ya are, yeah. I mean, beyond the interdimensional factor so you ain't guaranteed to meet people you know personally.

[Aw don't give him that look CJ. ]

....yeah. Although even when you're recognized by someone from your world, it's still frustrating if they're not from the same span if time as you.

[Seems like you need it, so he's gonna give it to you whether you want it or not! Someone has to!]

Definitely. [Cliffjumper huffs, spreading his hands.] So far, when someone I know appears where I've been, they're either from what I'd consider the past, or from... uh, what looks to be some kinda branchin' future that didn't happen to me.

[If he remembered the differences between him and the Grimlock in Axiom right.]

There were some from your reality here before, wasn't there?

There were two when I arrived the first time, so far as I can remember. One I'd never even met before and the other saying he was from a ways in the future...

[It was pretty strange being told you were somehow Optimus Prime's successor. Hot Rod shakes his head. ]

....neither of them seem to be around anymore.

[Nodding, Cliffjumper frowns and glances down at the ground.]

People disappear all the time in places like these, not that knowin' that helps any. Especially here where it could just as well be the Badlands as maybe be back home.

Yeah....

[He tries not to shudder at mention of the Badlands.]
