[audio] - from somewhere in Liege's temple which is NOT his room
[Things were completely wrong, and this wasn't where he ought to be, but he wasn't sure if Starscream's precense was more of a surprise than all the proof of things being off were.]
I want to know anything different from whatever you term as normal that might have happened in the last sixty hours or so.
[That wasn't a request by the way, and Jetfire's voice is recognisable, but much sharper than he'd usually sound - mostly to hide his frustrated confusion over what he found when he looked over himself to see what was different in conjunction to the different place he woke up in and found the Link.
He's looked through it, and what in the name of Cybertron was that?]

I still need an answer to the question.
[Flat, the restrained, irritable tone does a passable job of hiding his frustration. Perhaps he should've done some attempt at imitating whoever had been here that apparently... in some way... was him, but he couldn't begin to tackle that, so he hadn't.]

Long story short? Theweatherwentcrazytherewasastormandnowtheresagiantpillarinthemiddleofthejunkpile.

No. I haven't seen Starscream in quite a long while, even less had a fight with him. [The idea feels vaguely ridiculous, even if he's got proof, impossible proof but proof nonetheless, that "he" has had quite a lot to do with Starscream and recently. Even if he's pretty sure he hasn't.]
no subject
That's absurd, you two were talking the other day and spend a lot of time together. Are you feeling alright? Did you spend the whole time working in some sort of new experiment and forgot to recharge properly? [Mother hen, have one.]
no subject
None of those. And regardless of what this upgrade shows, I don't remember it. In fact, it all seems quite... improbable.
[But it's there, and it doesn't make sense that he'd be dumped in... what, an alternate's chassis? Something's wrong, and not just that he's here.]
no subject
Logic dictates that just because you don't know or remember something it doesn't mean that it's not true.
What is the last thing you remember?
no subject
... Indeed. [Which he does know, especially as, while going for the simplest solution is usually the correct one, sometimes the "simplest" one might be the more improbable one... or the more improbable one is the right one, instead of the simplest, but none of this makes sense.
It still takes a good long moments before Jetfire continues, and his voice is slow and guarded when he does speak. He's not sure why, either, as he has no reason to trust this mech, even if his... alternate? has talked to him before.]
I was on my ship on the trail of a huge energy output, as I've been for a while.
no subject
[At least he agreed. Blurr is not sure what to think anymore, he wonders if he should go there to talk to him in person.]
Your ship...hm. I think you suffered some sort of data loss from your memory banks. You are now in Cybertron, a new one that's really young. You have been here for months.
no subject
I believe I would notice--- Though, no. [There's a static sigh.] Something is obviously off, but I don't think loss of data is it. But yes, I noticed that there's data in the extended comm that does suggest I or somebody very close to it [And that he's either inhabiting the body of, or something else is wrong] has been here for quite a while.

I'm going back into recharge, you can come get me when you decide to stop being crazy.

... I apologise. [It's said more or less on automatic while Jetfire's still staring at the door. Neither of them are where they should be and Starscream's acting as nothing is wrong.]
But, besides a few issues that still elude me, and none of them have nothing to do with my processor, this isn't where I was only a short while ago, Starscream. [There's that sharp tone again, Jetfire doesn't even notice - because at least, no matter the revelation he had a short while ago and the strange situation right here and Starscream, it's almost reassuring. Almost. Mostly it's suddenly just reminding him of where he went wrong.]

That was not what I meant.
[Another moment of hesitation, and then he crosses the corridor and into the doorway, standing there. And it's odd to see Starscream again.]
Before this room I certainly wasn't here, but on a ship following an energy signature.
[At least as far as he's aware, despite what the upgrade to his comm. suite might imply - and that version just makes something twist in frustration.]
no subject
And exactly what were you hoping to find? Also, you really don't remember any of what happened?
no subject
... The Nemesis. [Maybe. He'd not really expected to find anything, but it had been something to do.] It seemed... simplest.
[Then Jetfire sighs as well, crossing his arms over his chestplates.]
If I did, would I find this completely unfamiliar, regardless of what this... upgrade to the comm. suite might imply?
[But the fact that all those things are there? Well, it's strange at the least, suspicious at the most. And he almost wants to ask when Starscream got all... like this, but refrains.]

The Academy, then joining the Decepticons. I wasn't there, but the attack on and destruction of Iacon. [Dragging a hand down the front of the helmet and the visor, there's a twitch of his wings as he shrugs.] Megatron and the Prime disappearing, and the factions breaking up... Shockwave tried to convince me to stay with the main faction, but that wasn't ever an option.
[Perhaps it should have been, but then, he could just as well have gone to the Autobots... which he hadn't.]
The... situation with the mech who called himself the Fallen, and then Megatron came back again. [Hadn't that been a mess, especially considering what Megatron had done to Starscream.] When the Autobots restarted the Ark mission and Megatron launched the Nemesis, you [or, well... whatever.]... convinced me... to stay behind, to 'keep an optic on Shockwave'.
[He's not sure whether he resents that or not - if he'd gone on the Nemesis, perhaps he wouldn't have had to think - though that's deeply cowardly. By now Jetfire's tone has gone back to being somewhat irritable, but it doesn't seem to be for any particular thing. Just... everything in general.]
no subject
[Oh. Now this was interesting. Could explain Jetfire's general sharpness, but Starscream found himself unsure if he was resentful that crazy-Jetfire hadn't left for the other side.]

You're going to be in for a great deal of weird answers, as far as I've seen.
[Glit sniffs haughtily; you'd think they would have had their fill of insanity already, but noooo...]
[He'll even let it be video, though Glit might or might not be aware of the differences.]
[He starts ticking things off on one paw.]
Storm of unusual size and ferocity.
Sudden pillar from the sky of usual size and ominous quality.
Various parties posting on the network in a state most unlike their usual selves in the time after...
[Even you. But Glit doesn't know Jetfire well enough to sure enough to hazard such a guess out-loud.]
... So there's something obvious then. Good. So to speak. [His engine grumbles, but at least this is something to focus on than the realisation that he should've left the Decepticons a long time ago, and has no idea how that would happen now.]
It remains to find out of what nature our appearance... [Pause. Possession? Change?] or otherwise, this might be, then.
And you at least do not qualify for that.
Though some people certainly look markedly different.
[Briefly, Jetfire sounds dryly amused and he might have let the medic cat look him over anyway, if he'd had something to compare to. Alas...]
Hmmm. Which could be evidence against a simple shift in memories and accompanying attitude.
