[The link appears to have been... dropped. It's just sitting on the floor of a hallway in Trion's temple. There's a partial view of a nearby room, the door half-open and sitting strangely on its hinges. The room itself appears... trashed. Like the storm blew through the room as well as the Haven.]

[Everything is absolutely still. Absolutely silent.]

[For several minutes.]

[And then something slams itself down off-screen, hard enough to rattle the Link itself. It actually vibrates a few inches forward at the impact.]

[Someone laughs. There's no amusement in the sound, only smug satisfaction.]

Look! Look, look, look!

[The voice is probably familiar, but the cadence is all wrong. The speaker grabs the Link, jerking it toward the room.]

I did it. I did it so well too, didn't I? You thought you had me -- what was it? What was it? Are you punishing me? Is that it?

No, no. That won't do. I got out!

[More laughter. Delighted, echoing laughter.]

[And all of the sudden, a face pops on-screen, upside down. The smile it wears is sharp, harsh. It's... Kagerou?]

Aren't. You. Proud? Brave Police.

[There is a fevered light in his optics -- both of which are visible now, the scanner no longer marking half his face. And then the feed goes dark.]

You can't blame me and then go 'OH IT MIGHT BE SOMEONE ELSE TOO'. That's not how it works, stupid! It means you don't even know!

Believe me, if I wanted to ignore you, I would have told you!

Then who! I wasn't in there to start with! I know where I was, don't assume I don't.

Where is this place.

You get really annoying when you go crazy, you know that?

[He's seconds away from decking you in the face.]

Cybertron! We've been here awhile, Kagebird!

So you keep saying. I think you're just jealous.

... where?

Why would I be jealous of you?

I get the jobs done!

I finish the work! No one walks away from me! Hah-hah!

[And then his head snaps back down, his optics staring at PJ as if they're trying to bore a hole through him.]

You know why.

....Riiiight.

[Power Joe is convinced Kagerou is one over the cuckoo's nest.]

Okay, so you're some grand master. You happy now?

[All the menace just drains out of him.]

[... and he looks sulky instead.]

Now you're just saying that. Come on. Tell me something really nice.

I'll tell you something nice.

I want to punch you in the face right now, and that's me doing you a favour!

[His laughter is more a crow of challenge than anything.]

I want to see this. I want to see you try.

That's it.

[And he's gathering his things--you know, all none of them--and starting to head out. Only problem is...]

Where are you!?

[And then he beams. Like PJ just handed him the greatest Christmas present ever or something.]

Come find me!

You BET I will!

[He doesn't even shut the feed off. Or transform. He just runs out.

That's how pumped he is to smack some sense into you.]

[He just laughs, dropping the Link.]

[And retreating to some dark place in the temple. Good luck, PJ. He won't make it easy.]

[AND EVENTUALLY...

Power Joe gets there, running into the temple. He's not exactly the stealthiest. In fact, a deaf guy inside a box could know that Power Joe had arrived.]

Okay, Kagebird! Show yourself!

[And, surprisingly enough, he shows himself. But probably not in the way PJ was hoping.]

[He drops out of the ceiling. Aiming to land on the poor guy's shoulders.]

[And land he does. However, only for a second or two before there are attempts to throw him off, by immediately changing back to vehicle mode.

It's like riding a bucking bronco right now.]

[He lets out a whoop of triumph, at that. He all but clings onto PJ's shovel, wrapping around it to better keep his seat.]

[Bucking bronco challenge accepted.]

[And he begins treating this like a rodeo, using his scoop claw to attempt to throw Kagerou into the wall.

And if successful, transform and tackle him.]

[He's tossed. The Build Team were always strong, after all. He should have expected it -- he scrambles into a better position.]

[And kicks out with his feet, to try and hit PJ, as the other tackles.]

[He takes the brunt of that kick head on, grabbing his leg and trying to pull him out, get him on the ground so those wings can't work against him.

But it's not easy, and Kagerou's skilled.]

Kagebird!

[He twists, trying to work his leg out of PJ's grasp. No weapons yet. THe other BP hasn't gone for them -- bringing them out now is weak.]

[And he is not weak.]

[He simply shrieks something incoherent, kicking his thrusters to life to try and wrench them out of the other's grasp. He lashes out with a fist, too, toward the side of PJ's head.]

[It's an honest to god wrestling match. And PJ won't go for the weapons until he has an opening.

Right now, he's going to beat him with his fists. It's more satisfying.]

AGH!!

[That fist connects with his helm, slamming into the wall and sinking down to the ground.]

[It is more satisfying. Yes, it is. He's snarling, wriggling, kicking -- he's even biting at Power Joe. Anything to get on top.]

[To win.]

[As PJ slams into the wall, he launches forward, hands curled like claws to tear at the yellow bot's frame.]

[Power Joe isn't as feral--he doesn't bite, but he does grab Kagerou by the mouth an shove his hand into it, hoping to give a warning of 'don't touch me'.

He couldn't back down now. Kagerou was going to fight til the end, and PJ wanted to end it here and now. He didn't know what was going inside the ninja's head, but at the moment, he didn't care.

And when Kagerou lunges at him, he rolls back, winding his legs up to give a kick away from him. To get some kind of distance.
