DOUBLE PILLAR ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE SKY

[It extends upwards as far as the eye can see, vanishing directly into the Lambda. Markings adorn its rough, worn surface, too ancient to read. The material itself seems new, however--a contradiction in forms. All who approach will hear its rhythmic thrumming, a noise pulsing from it with a lulling and dangerous tone. Around it the earth is broken and crumbling, and pieces of debris from the junk pile radiate outward...some of it charred as if burned.

Will you approach?

Examine?

Climb the precarious looking footholds?

Or fall victim to something equally sinister...]

[Strelok has had a lot of practice dodging things. Both the debris from the poltergeists and charging mutants. He knows how to get out of the way of things.

And unlike Isaac, he is unbelievably cool under pressure.

He twists his shoulder out of the way of the debris - letting it glance harmlessly off his own armor - and quickly corrects his aim, firing off a single pistol shot at Isaac's shoulder.]

[while the RIG armour does offer some protection, it wasn't really built with being shot in mind. strelok's aim is, predictably, a lot better than isaac's and he is hit directly in the shoulder]

[he yelps in surprise when he's hit and drops everything to clutch at the wound. strelok may also enjoy the lovely stream of swear words isaac lets off as he falls to his knees - cursing the marker, necromorphs, some woman called kendra and his life in general]

[of course, part of him is still concerned about the necromorph that apparently just shot him, but it really fucking hurts, ok]

[Okay, this is a good thing. Technically. He pulls out one of his wraps of bandages and practically charges at Isaac. He is going to take advantage of this momentary pause in their stalemate to try to neutralize the problem.

If he has to he'll clock Isaac in the head while he's at it. At least then whatever the guy is seeing might stop for a while?]

[oh boy. he knew throwing debris at the strelokmorph was a shitty idea. and now he's on his knees and being charged by it!! fuck you, life. fuck. you]

[when strelok gets close to him, he attempts to headbutt him out of sheer desperation]

[The attempt at headbutting him does actually manage to surprise Strelok, and he hisses as he backs up slightly. But he is stubborn and determined even so, lashing out with the butt of the pistol.]

I am sorry, Isaac, but I must!

[At least with the helmet in the way he won't accidentally bash Isaac's head in.]

[a combination of being shot, pistol whipped and the stress and tension of the situation was a little bit too much for the poor guy. he's out cold. strelok might note the blue RIG line on his spine slipping down to a low yellow, and making a soft beeping noise]

[Strelok curses again under his breath as he rolls Isaac over to bind his hands behind him with the bandages. Huh. Interesting lights. Well, that's probably bad and he should probably get his poor pal to the medbay.

Fang pokes his head back out of Strelok's backpack and barks. The stalker sighs.]

Well. I think that went well, don't you?

[The impromptu cuffing done, Strelok eventually slides his arms under Isaac's armpits and starts dragging him in the direction of the Solus's temple.

This will take a while.]
