[Well... it's Sideswipe's voice. But it's crawling with static and contempt. More than usual. It sounds almost older somehow. Harsher.]

You let them crawl around your world like it's nothing. Foolish.

Don't worry. I'll clean up your little mess.

[And the line goes dead.]

[A banged-up, paint-scarred Corvette can be found cruising the Haven, its headlights off and engine muted. It acts more like a shark than a flashy sportscar, moving quietly about the area.]

[It's stalking. Searching.]

[As if it knows what it seeks is somewhere nearby, and is tirelessly seeking it out.]

[At some point during the night a certain large black widow spider can be scurrying away from Liege Maximo's temple and towards the junk pile. Blackarachnia is hoping the cover of darkness would mean safety for her while she scavenged.]

[He might have missed it, if it hadn't scuttled across his path.]

[He stops, his engine going quiet.]

[Then moves to follow.]

[Blackarachnia pauses for a moment, glances around before continuing on. The she-spider still wasn't too sure about this place. Every shadow made it feel like she was being followed.

She shuddered and stopped after a few yards to turn around and really look. As she did, she crouched down low, hoping to avoid being spotted if there was something out there.]

[He transforms. It's easier to skulk around if he has legs. Which he attempts, following the direction he saw the shape moving.]

[He needs to make sure this isn't one of the enemy.]

[All eight of her optics widen as she watches something transform in the shadows. She's still not sure what it is, but, it's enough to trigger her own shift into bot mode and take off running. ]

[Oh, it's running now. It must be one of the enemy, then.]

[He takes off after it, with long, loping strides. His blades are already extended.]

[It's chasing her! Blackarachnia tries to make a break for the junk pile, praying to Primus that it would help hide her from whatever is chasing her. Every sound he made sent a spike of terror through the small bot. ]

[He picks up the pace, long strides carrying him over the space. His blades slip from their holsters. He doesn't know who this is, or what it is.]

[Doesn't matter. He'll take it down. and find out later.]

[Blackarachnia continued to run and only dared to glance over her shoulder when she heard the sound of something slipping out of a holster. That glance was enough to make her trip over something and go sprawling into the dirt.

The she-spider slid for a bit and just curled up, claws protecting her head and trying to make herself as small as possible.]

[He sees it fall. His strides quicken, all but gliding over the rough terrain. He plants himself right in its line of sight, looming over it.]

[Victory.]

What are you.

[She yelps and tries to curl up tighter before suddenly switching over to her beast mode and just, crouching there, trembling.]

M-maximal!I-I'm a Maximal!

... what?

[No, really. What. What just happened. What did that word mean.]

[And what did this thing just turn into.]

[When it becomes obvious he's not going to hurt her just yet, she stops trembling and just looks up at him, still very much a spider and still very much crouched there.]

I-I said I'm a Maximal.

What does that mean.

[It's less of a question than it should be. He just looms over her, barely restrained anger held carefully in check.]

A-autobot descendant!

[She pulls her legs in a little more with her trembling very obvious at this point.]

P-please don't hurt me!

Autobot...

[He stares for a moment longer. Autobots don't have descendents... that's an organic thing. Right.]

How do I know you're not one of the other side? A lying Decepticon.

I-I would never work for Megatron or the Predacons! I was brought online as Maximal and t-that's what I am!

[Can you hear the indignation in her quiet voice? The fact that he would even suggest such a thing was horrifying to her!]

W-why would I work with the very bots that killed me!? I-I made sure they stayed out of the Ark and I would never betray Optimus Primal or Silverbolt!

I don't know those terms.

[But Megatron, yes. That's familiar. "Optimus" is too. He scoffs.]

If you're loyal to Optimus, then I don't have anything to say to you. You're just as useless as the rest of them.

[She huffs softly and glares up at him.]

W-who are you anyway? And I'm not useless.

No one the Autobots want to admit to.
