my robotic angel of the east
i had planned to write a very long and passionate letter detailing my ardor for you, but all words are insufficient to encompass all that i have felt for you in this very short time
to everyone else you are only drift, a robot without a home and with a mysterious past and a mysterious smile and a mysterious ... (i'll fill this in with something else later, maybe that crest?)
but to me, you are everything. you are the light of every star that i see reflected in your hull, and every time i see you i long to tell you everything, but the thought of being rejected is unbearable to me. so i make excuses to see you often, and hope that you will take that first step, instead.
please, i beg you, don't reject me because of my organic state. don't turn away from me in my hour of emotional need. i want you more than i have ever wanted any other being, organic or otherwise, and i could not bear if you didn't at least entertain the possibility of making me yours, and you mine.
in this brave new world so in need of terraforming, drift, you have terraformed my everything.
forever yours,
V.

[Wow you two sure do hang out a lot.]
I'm not sure that's necessary. I mean, no harm done, is there?
no subject
[Honest concern here.]
I guess, but god damn I'm pissed at him.
no subject
It kind of...yeah. [Yeah he's got it.]
I'd be the last to tell you that you shouldn't, uh, disincentivize him from doing it again. [See? All that command cadre stuff on the Lost Light has expanded his vocabulary.]
no subject
You sure you're okay? I know the past week has been kind of... weird. I mean, all things considered, more weird than the pre-established weirdness here.
no subject
I'm fine. Really. [You love that f-word from Drift.]
no subject
[Gettin that look.]
no subject
[Like. Uh. Something.]
How's the armoring of your home going?

[TRUTH.]

[SMILE.]
[Frag, this isn't going to work, is it?]
Vandal, I'm fine. [You and Perceptor are tag teaming him.]

[Only one or two lessons so far but still.]
You know what would make me happy? If you weren't in pain.
no subject
[Ouch. You had to say it that way.]
Vandal. Karrie. [He sighs.] What do you want?
no subject
I want you to look out for yourself a little more. Or allow me to. Or anyone for that matter.
no subject
[He frowns because he's been talking to Starscream.]
You too, you know.
no subject
[To be honest she's a little terrified to screw it up, but maybe she can get First Aid's help?]
I-
Okay. Alright. So if I do, will you?
no subject
Yes.
[He shifts.]
You can trust me, Vandal. You know that, right?
no subject
And likewise.
no subject
[A gentle smile.]
no subject
Dork.
[Because we can't have serious meaningful conversations without at least a little disarming banter, can we? Not in Vandal's book at least.]
