What can I say? Simple-minded things are sometimes amusing.

Besides, squishy flesh creatures with powers are still squishy flesh creatures. You can usually still just step on them all.

You seem to judge character quite swiftly. Care to extrapolate on your reasoning? I'd like to know how grievously you've underestimated me.

[He smirks.]

The ones I've seen are faster than that. Just a word of warning, some of them might surprise you. Or you can take a hit to your pride and find out the hard way.

Because I value life, and though you've talked big so far you haven't shown me any direct harm, therefore you are not my enemy.

I don't doubt that it. But, what does being a Decepticon mean to you?

I don't need to show you any direct harm in order to be dangerous, you know.

[Starscream snorts, but smirks at the question about the Decepticons.]

Power, conquest, taking over the universe. All the fun stuff.

[He chuckles.] Nor do I.

But notice I didn't say you weren't dangerous, only that you've yet to display actionable motive to be such towards me. Obviously you could change that if you so desired, but what would that gain you other than being baited into having to prove yourself to a neutral of all people?

[His head tilts as if judging your words.]

Interesting. Not as...focused as the Decepticons I've known.

True. But it might be fun.

[Except for the part where he gets completely owned. But of course he doesn't think Wing is any sort of threat at all. Nope.]

And what? Do you talk to a lot of Decepticons? Half the army are either idiots or Megatron suck-ups.

Thankfully those two qualities either make them easy to manipulate or intimidate.

It might, depending on the terms of the engagement.

[Except that Starscream has a decent chance if he plays dirty. Not that he knows it's necessary yet.]

~~So which one of those are you?~~ I spoke with quite a number at the start of the war. And one more recently. They all had fairly strong motives for breaking a corrupt sociopolitical regime and installing a new world order.

So that's how you control your forces? Hmm. Those that are manipulated often turn on you if you ever fail in your deceptions and those that are intimidated are usually the first deserters.

Who exactly is winning the war in your universe?

Engagement? My, my. We haven't even known each other that long.

[And fighting dirty would only work if Starscream didn't stand there and gloat about it after he gets any sort of upperhand.]

It sounds like the ones you spoke to have been spoon-feed Megatron's lies. Sure he claimed it was about corruption and a new world order, but it was hardly that.

As far as who is winning ... that depends on if we are speaking before or after Shockwave got punched in the head with the Matrix. Before? The Decepticons. After? Temporary stalemate.

Are you proposing then? [He grins.] I knew you wanted to secure allies but that's not the tactic I expected.

[Wing is not the type to take advantage of such thing. So they'd just end up standing around talking again.]

I heard Megatron's speeches before the war, in my universe at least, and they were quite moving. He was very much correct, the current Senate and caste system had failed us a people. He started a revolution that needed to happen, his methods were just...deplorable.

And how is Cybertron as a planet fairing?

Tch. You couldn't handle me. Your overly pointy head would get in the way.

[He laughs in an almost amused fashion.]

Oh, I never said Megatron was wrong about that. He certainly was, about the government at least. But that wasn't what the war was really about.

It's what he wanted everyone to think.

[A darker smirk.]

And everyone fell for it.

[He leans back up away from the video.]

And Cybertron was fully functioning last I saw. Ol' Shocky boy actually didn't do too bad at getting it up and running again. That's the only thing I'll give him credit for.

[A genuine, hearty laugh.] Oh, you have plenty of 'handholds' Starscream; five, maybe six good ones that I can see from here, depending on position of course. And you can trust I have plenty of experience fitting my pointy head where ever it needs to be.

[He ex-vents softly.]

Which is a shame. He had true potential to rule with great favor. Conquering simply for greed and power... [he shakes his head again] That desire is never satiated no matter how successful the conqueror. It's a pitiful life in the end. To have so much and never be fulfilled.

[His silver features look dire and haunted for a moment.]

I am happy at least that your version of our homeworld fairs well enough.

Ours however, did not.

I highly doubt any version of Megatron would make a good ruler in the long wrong.

Conqueror? Manipulator? Tyrant? Now that's more his style. Even one-eye pulled off unifying Cybertron more so than Megatron ever did.

Megatron's ultimate desire is control.

[A smairk.]

And that is why we usually don't get along.
