I... apologise if I was... ah, short with anyone while the pillar's influence was in effect.

[Jetfire shifts his shoulders, briefly glancing away. Thinking of that is just kind of uncomfortable, the way things changed - and didn't - from simply staying.]

I've more important matters to bring up for consideration, however, as during the first examination of the pillar I managed to find out it goes down. It comes from the Lambda, and goes down. And not just under the surface, but into the core.

[Folding his arms over his chestplates, Jetfire frowns. he's not sure how to take the additional information, but there ought to be energy within Cybertron, so he can accept that.]

I believe the best method of taking care of the pillar or conducting more research towards that same course of action would be to go to where it... er, attaches to Cybertron itself, as destroying or otherwise trying to remove it at the surface will leave part of it still on, and in, Cybertron.

So if anyone has any knowledge regarding a way down into the core of Cybertron, if you could speak up...

[Pause. Things have been... awkward the last few days, but.]

Ah, Starscream..? Could I ask you to come with?

I think it's too late for that, but I'll make an attempt. Though, given that "weird" is a very inexact and subjective descriptor, it's going to be hard to tell what behaviour you would prefer be kept at a minimum.

[Helmtilt and arch look. If he's going to stop all of it, then they're going to have to separate more. Of course, Starscream's just going to say something about that not being necessary... or refute he actually lives in Jetfire's room almost all the time, despite the fact that he does.]

[He should have expected it. Really, he sort of did, but he still can't keep from hiding his faceplate in the palm of a hand - mostly to hide the slightly exasperated and fond smile.]

[Starscream also stores himself in this handy second storage area.]

I assume it meets some... ah, standard, then.

How absolutely fortunate for me. At least insofar as it provides some conversational... ah, stimulation.

[Is he serious or not? Hard to tell with that dry tone, though he does, of course, like having Starscream so close.]

That depends on how much I actually pay attention to anything you say.

You would still need to pay enough attention to know what to not pay attention to.

[Now he's just being difficult, and the little grin reveals it, but he knows Starscream listens more than he pretends to, since otherwise he wouldn't have used what Jetfire had said about Sunstorm as base for modifying his null rays, back then.]

So how much can you agitate energon before it reaches a state of molecular flux and explodes, since that would be a pretty important thing to remember.

[Jetfire tilts his helm a little, looking merely inquisitive, any trace of earlier little grin disappeared.]
