I... apologise if I was... ah, short with anyone while the pillar's influence was in effect.
[Jetfire shifts his shoulders, briefly glancing away. Thinking of that is just kind of uncomfortable, the way things changed - and didn't - from simply staying.]
I've more important matters to bring up for consideration, however, as during the first examination of the pillar I managed to find out it goes down. It comes from the Lambda, and goes down. And not just under the surface, but into the core.
[Folding his arms over his chestplates, Jetfire frowns. he's not sure how to take the additional information, but there ought to be energy within Cybertron, so he can accept that.]
I believe the best method of taking care of the pillar or conducting more research towards that same course of action would be to go to where it... er, attaches to Cybertron itself, as destroying or otherwise trying to remove it at the surface will leave part of it still on, and in, Cybertron.
So if anyone has any knowledge regarding a way down into the core of Cybertron, if you could speak up...
[Pause. Things have been... awkward the last few days, but.]
Ah, Starscream..? Could I ask you to come with?

[It's quiet, but firm agreement; Jetfire doesn't particularly want to remember what happened when the pillar overpowered his concious thought processes, but he does. Hot Rod's revelation that he knows a way down, however, startles him out of the darkening thoughts.]
That's excellent. Possible... ah, stipulations or not, it gives us somewhere to start, and even if it does need a Firstforged... we might still be able to get it to work, somehow.
Would you want to go the whole way down, or would you prefer to just show us the location of the... ah, lift?
[he's curious, but he's not going to ask how and during what circumstances Hot Rod got to see and go down there. At least not right now. Later, maybe.]
I was going to try going down there anyway to see just how bad it was. I'll tag along. When were you wanting to do so?
While I... ah, understand the urge to minimise potential danger to others, going alone is probably not a good idea. And ss soon as possible might be the best, considering the effects it has already has on us, even if one part of that has... er, faded.
[Jetfire frowns, rubbing his chin.]
And especially considering the fact that the pillar, from my... er, inadvisable method of investigation, seems to not just be a conduit downwards for energy, it's also absorbing energy, from the core.
[Energy that was... much too close to be comfortable to what seemed to cling to their glyphs faded now as it were.]
Whenever you're ready to go, I'll be waiting at Prima's temple.
I'll give you a ping, and if you have any ideas for equipment to bring, feel welcome to mention it... [Briefly, Jetfire's expression goes dry.] the issue obviously being we might not have it.
Unfortunately I got nothing. I just know that whatever this thing is...it's got the same feel as the Badlands.
[He nods at that, frowning.]
Indeed. Hopefully we will be able to deal with it by ourselves, without having to repeatedly go up to the surface and then down again... if that were to happen, I suspect we would find more... ah, opposition.
I'll agree to that.
[He hopes so anyway, and then smiles a little.]
I'm relieved someone knew of a definite way down, and a lift is an unexpected boon.
I hope it hasn't gotten worse than what I'd seen the last time, but with that pillar going right through the surface, I just hope we can stop it.
[He frowns about it himself, not exactly liking the fact that his experiences have tied him to such things.]
...there were these...sphere things that were absorbing the light there.
[Forgive him for his lack of scientific terms there.]
Energy, when one doesn't know presicely what it is, comes from and behaves, is hard to work with, but we obviously must do something. It will be impossible to know until we get down, but those could, I suppose, be some form of... ah, negative energy. The opposite of what's in the core.
There won't be any way to know before we go down, of course, and with the pillar in place that may not currently be in effect, but either way it seems our time window is probably smaller than it already was.
Well, whatever we plan on doing, we better get it together quick.
[A brief smile, rather relieved.] Since that will cut down on the time it takes to go down, not to talk about the fact that we'd have had to try and find another entrance otherwise, and hope we could get down.
[... And later play taxi for Megatron, since more than one entrance down into core might be a good idea if they can get that.]
Okay then. Guess I'll be hearing from you.
