If there's anyone out there this is Garrus Vakarian, serving with the SSV Normandy on the off-chance that means something to anyone here. If it doesn't, well ... might have to think of something else.

One way or the other, I'm not exactly sure how I got here, but the lack of a hangover removes alcohol as a possibility. If anyone can give me anything on where exactly this planet is, any way to contact off world, how I got here, anything, It'd be much appreciated. The, ah, acolytes weren't exactly too helpful on that front.

"Some kind," yes. We are trying. There have been some rudimentary laws put into place to help protect the populace from more rowdy or violent individuals – no killing or attacking without provocation, no stealing from another, things like that – and the police force serves both to enforce those laws and to aid when disasters occur.

It's been a while, but back when I worked with C-Sec-- the, ah, police in my universe, everything was so bogged down with rules and regulations that actually getting something done was damn near impossible.

Yeah, I can understand that. It's not been so much in my division back home – our jobs were pretty straight-forward – but I've seen it in other departments. On the one hand, I understand why people have felt the need to put such things in place, but it can make things very hard sometimes too.

Some of it makes an amount of sense, but when every other suspect you collar ends up getting out because of some loophole, you get fed up with the system pretty fast.

Mn. Yeah, sounds like a pretty broken system. I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
