[Video] - transmission from inside Liege's labyrinth corridor
[If Jetfire's annoyed when the feed is turned on, that's not visible; the frown on his faceplates is definitely thoughtful though.]
I seem to have made a slight... ah, miscalculation. [Meaning, he's lost. Jetfire's still obviously walking as he speaks, however. Shame on those who give up and all that.] I strongly recommend you don't go too far into the corridors of Liege Maximo's temple unless you're ready to get lost... or possess the resources to solve the fractal equation.
[Which he still is perfectly sure he does.]
This is going to take a slight bit longer to solve than I had projected, and... mmm, probably necessary to account for the possibility a multifractal dimension to the algorithm used, and not just simple fractal dimension...
[Briefly, Jetfire's optics dim, and then bounce back to their normal brightness and he looks up into the recording again. There's a small smile on his lips.]
... It was a while ago I didn't account for the complexity of a task and didn't calculate the proper amount of time needed to solve it.
[He briefly looks as if he's about to add something else and then merely shakes his helm.]

[Yes, that's not creepy at all, him having already planned for an eventuality of a starvation diet if this took too long and he couldn't solve it or couldn't get out.]
[It's not creepy, especially to someone from a world suffering from an energy crisis.]
[Briefly a shadow flitters over Jetfire's expression as he shakes his helm.]
As we've found out. But at least this isn't the situation here.
[At least not for any cybertronian.]
At least you don't have to worry about fuel being scarce here. It'd be quite a downer to get to a new planet and find out it can't sustain the people on it.
Reploids?
[There's nothing upon a visual observation over the Link that says this young woman is anything but human, but that means nothing... Jetfire suddenly wishes this conversation was being had in person, since a lot more things would be obvious then. Even if he probably has no real reason in believeing that word can be applied to Leviathan.]
Here, no. It was the situation at home, until recently... And here, instead, there's anyone organic, or those built by humans that have to worry, go through some sort of reformat, or somehow find substitites.
[Jetfire frowned, drumming one hand's fingers against the opposite arm. But at least - as he'd understood it - the human made ones could be adjusted to survive on energon, diluted or not.]
[She shrugs a shoulder, not looking particularly bothered by that fact.]
Ah, so I'm not the only one having trouble finding fuel.
[She's almost out of her rations. 8C]
[At least separated by distance and viewed through a video; with other tools at his disposal, figuring out she wasn't human would probably be at least reasonably quick and easy.]
What do you need? [He's frowning now; he knows those made by the humans had had some sort of adjustment made, but that was them.] Hopefully more can be found, otherwise... you might want to look into substitutes, or the possibility of changing the relevant parts to something that could be compatible with energon.
[Starving into deactivation isn't pleasant, after all.]
[Leviathan turns away for a moment, then holds up a blue jar with a glowing green crystal for Jetfire to see.]
These. I've been conserving energy as well as I can, but I'm having trouble finding enough to store extra. Unfortunately, Reploids consume a lot of energy, especially considering that I have to go out every other day or so to go find more energy crystals.
Maybe I can find someone who will be able to upgrade my fuel system to accept energon, but I'm rather small compared to the other man-made bots here.
One would, perhaps, expect that the... robots humans make to all be more similar to themselves, as you do, rather than what we otherwise have present. But perhaps there's a reason for it that simply isn't immediately obvious.
[Rubbing his chin, Jetfire frowns at the small jar - well, (very) small to him at least - and shakes his helm.]
I can't remember seeing any like that while flying over the Junk Pile recently, but I'll keep my optics sharp. Does the crystal have any particular energy reading?
[Which would be useful as well in finding more, as he could use other "senses" rather than just his visual one.]
Mmm, I think Ratchet has adapted some of the other human-made ones for energon-use, or similar [have an image of Ratchet sent to your Link device, Leviathan]. I would offer myself as I am knowledgable in frame design and reformat, but a full medic is probably a better idea, especially as he's already worked on some Earth-derived systems.
[She looks a bit disappointed.]
That's too bad. Unfortunately, I don't really know how to describe what kind of energy they give off. Maybe I could bring one to you?
I'll have to ask him. He was a great help when I needed repairs, so if he's already familiar with Earth tech, he'd be the best bot to ask.
[He nods and tilts his helm, optics glowing stronger for a moment.]
If you would, I'd certainly be interested, beside the fact that it would give you another person able to help look; energy of all kinds do interest me, even if it wouldn't be possible for us to use it.
[Jetfire merely nods, silently agreeing, especially since he's apparently already repaired her.]
Alright, where can I find you?
[Does he sound somewhat sheepish? Yes, he does. The little grin accompanying the tone fits as well.]
It will probably have to wait. While I'm sure you could find me in here since setting up a beacon through the Link shouldn't be overly complicated, you would probably not have such an easy time getting out again.
[A slight tip of his helm as he loosely indicated his surroundings and then also turned his arm away briefly to show the crystalline corridor he was currently in, along with the corridors branching off, all of it looking... deceptively, confusingly repetivively and ordered.]
I'll ask you again after I'm... er, finished in here?
[Their conversation more or less made him momentarily forget where he was and that, ahem, he couldn't just be outside in a few kliks.]
[He casts a look around himself and then shakes his helm before looking back to what apparently is a robot, even when she looks, at least, perfectly human.]
I should get back to figuring this out.
[He doesn't sound particularly - or at all - displeased about this prospect, however.]
