Number II - When you're hot, you're hot... [Video]

[Axel's face appears on the screen, and even shadowed by the hood of his coat- which in itself is unusual, since he tends not to like the hood- he doesn't look too well. He also seems to be bundled up in a thick gray blanket. When he speaks, his voice sounds tired and hoarse, as if he'd been coughing a lot recently.]

Hey, everybody. Guess what? Turns out Nobodies aren't immune to this bug that's going around...

[He's forced to pause there, as he trails off into a coughing fit. He gives a faint groan when he manages to regain his breath, seeming to try and curl deeper into his coat and blanket.]

Dammit... [He sighs hoarsely.] Just... fair warning for anybody that might think of visiting.... don't touch me, OK? Unless you wanna burn your hand, that is. One of the fun side effects of being a fire-user with a fever, ya know...

[Another, briefer coughing fit interrupts him]

Hope everybody else is doin' better than me...

Two virsues or not, the fact that they blossomed at the same time would seem an... ah, extremely remote possibility, yes. [His optics darken a little.] I'm not even sure how one could code and build what would need to be a digital and organic virus at the same time for it to be a single affliction. I'm not really an expert in contagious viruses, for either organics or cybertronians.

[With a shake of his helm, Jetfire rubs his chin.]

Interesting. As long as all systems are working properly, internal thermometer and external temperature sensors work together... They can be glitched, however, which I surmise is what happens when the systems during this virus can't decide whether something is overheated or not.

Fireproof it is, then. [Despite the other topics, he smiles.] Not a problem at all.

True, though unfortuantely I don't know if anyone is... and inquiring will doubtlessly, not get an honest answer.

[He smiles a bit dryly at that.]

Ah, you have installed yourself in the habitation wing of the Hub, or elsewhere? If it's the former, I can always simply meet you in the Hub, since the rest of it is easily large enough to accomodate me.

Hmm, hopefully yes. Is this... er, sickness? virus? similar to something organics usually get?

[He frowns slightly.]

While it's of course hard to near impossible to draw parallels given the curious... ah, state of this virus given its range, if it's similar, one could at least hope to presume it would have the same course.
angleofscience: (inquisitive - how much data?)

Which is the curious issue with this virus, since if it is a single one... [He shakes his helm. It should simply not be possible.]

... That does seem like the symptoms people are suffering, regardless of organic or mechanoid origin. So, if nothing else, it does seem that coming from something from the Lambda or created, it is some sort of flu... or is imitating the effects of one.

[Kind of useless facts in the overall situation, but interesting anyway.]

Digital, yes. Though it's possible to carry such a virus in other forms, like light or sound, which convert to the correct format upon infiltrating a viable system.

[Jetfire shrugged and then frowned.]

Indeed. Interesting to know, but in the end lacking any... ah, practical application without the proper knowledge.
angleofscience: (science science science!)

That's the most conservative and simplest way, yes, but digital formats can be converted into other forms, the information contained within staying exactly the same, merely in another... er, shape.

All you'd need is equipment capable of converting the light back, or use the information stored that way directly.

[He's not quite oblivious enough to not notice either of those possibilities and smiles slightly.]

I'll see about that blanket, and let you go back to resting.
