[The video starts with Megatron. For this pronouncement, he has chosen a centralized location: The junk-pile, overlooking the Hub community center. He’s had something in mind since Elita made her inquiry a short while ago, and now seems as good a time as ever.]

The Firstforged have left.

They have made it clear that their own priority is to prepare this planet for Primus, which leaves the defense and planning of the Haven to us. If there will ever be a chance of getting home, it is in our hands.

It is time for us to begin building our own lives here.

Another speech, Lord Megatron? I’d say I’m surprised, but well … I’m not.

[The image of none other than Starscream pops up on the screen as Megatron’s own transmission is hijacked. Starscream’s image appears off to the side like the annoying commentary Megatron never wanted.]

So what lies will you be spreading to the public today?

[It takes Megatron a moment to recover, realizing that his transmission suddenly has an unwelcome guest.]

Starscream. If you want to come hear these supposed ‘lies’ then you know where to find me. It’s time we had someone capable of making speeches, after all.

[Starscream erupts into laughter.]

I will give you that one. You always did know how to talk big and draw a crowd. I remember being at the rallies. Little did we know just how deep your twisted viewpoints went back then.

My twisted viewpoints? [Megatron scoffs, unimpressed.] Of the two of us, it should be obvious who has the best interests of the Haven at heart...and who is merely making a grab for power. Tell, me, what have you done to make this world--or any other--better?

I’m not the one who preaches about a new world order when all you really want is to recondition everyone to be tools for you own amusement. No matter what you claim, you never had anyone’s best interests in mind. I know that for a fact.

[Megatron’s growl is dark, turning in the video to face the image of Starscream next to him.]

Then come prove it.

[Starscream matches Megatron's gaze with a smirk]

Gladly.

[He disconnects.]

Beyond the unfortuante ramifications that killing him would have on my political career...

I'm having trouble landing a hit. He seems to be coated with something designed to repel attacks.

[Which Megatron isn't sure if he's annoyed by, or intruigued.]

There's that little negative thing but in the long run it might be worth it. [We are talking about Starscream, after all.]

How unusual. Try throwing him down a lava pit, that's usually infallible.

Oh, is that a threat? Because if it is, you need to try harder.

Threat? Oh no. Not at all.

[It's a promise, Knock Out. And Starscream can be patient with his promises.]

Very well then. It would be a pity if something happened to you or, Primus forbid, you fell sick and there were no doctor that could fix you.

[Knock Out isn't really worried. He knows that all the Starscream are the same and how you like to think.]

Truly, Starscream inspires trust in all of us.

[The sarcasm. It is RICH.]

Watch your back, doctor. He rarely attacks from the front.

All the Starscream do, it's their gift.

[Can you feeeeel the sarcasm tonight? Knock Out's shines bright like a diamond too.]

And about this new regime change, what did you have in mind?

My biggest concern is the defense of the Haven. we've proven woefully underprepared for what the Lambda coughs up.

I had intended to talk about unifying our forces as well, but I'm getting the feeling this is going to be difficult.

[Between a sane Megatron who (at least) seems to care for people and Starscream, Knock Out would pick Megatron any day.]

The Police Force is good for nothing when it comes to that, perhaps we should invest in proper weapons.

Heh, somehow I am not surprised. People is quick to judge.

A Military force? [He smirks.] That is my thought exactly.

Do you know what is ironic, Knock Out?

It is ironic that the Decepticons seem to be making the most concessions in the Haven. Clearly, we are the most savage. [He bares a pointed tooth in his smile.]

Of course, if Autobots don't want to talk, there are other things they'd be better used as.

[Cannon fodder, for one.]

[He wasn't thinking in something that organized but...] Perhaps, something like that.

[One day he will tell Megatron that he is an Autobot. That day is not today. He looks slightly akward though.]

Clearly. You don't know the looks I still get from time to time. [Ey, at least that's true.] What would take them to trust us at least a little, I wonder.

Not all of them are so close minded, thankfully.

It would take a more threatening force.

[Something like the armies of the badlands. It might even be possible for him to stir them up, if it caused the Haven to take action.]

You are right, however. I have found...some...here who are willing to talk, and willing to listen. Blurr. Bulkhead. Jetfire, to his own extent. You'd think the others would at least appreciate the fact that I'm not organizing an attack against them.

As long as it's worth he effort. Sometimes things get out of hand.

McCrane and the rest of the Brave Police might be able to listen too. Old mechs like Ironhide...not so much. How ironic that they so called heroes are the ones judging others for things they didn't do. [And by ironic he means frustrating and sad.]
