[ Someone's being more monotone than usual today. ]
It's funny, I didn't think such an absurd practice would carry over to another dimension. I'll have to update the file.
'Pointless acts of otherwise previously unsolicited gestures brought on by a false holiday' Check.
And before someone suggests 'I'm bitter because I'm alone', it's actually quite the opposite. Alone makes for undisputed homemaking.
No one to tell you 'the desk needs to be oak' or 'that linoleum flooring isn't progressive'.
At least you aren't stuffing your faces with chocolate. Who knows, were you, the whole planet might exceed the system's gravitational field, and fly off into the cold, quiet unknown.
Just saying.
[ There's a loud click and whirr, and the unpleasant scratch of sharp metal on glass. ]
Looks like my prototype's done. Happy Valentine's Day to me indeed.

And I'll tell you.

he's not though, and pops open a panel on his arm.]
Now, now. If you're going to upload a virus and kill me then make sure you at least save the parts.

No promises.
[ ALL THICK SARCASM YOU CAN CUT THROUGH WITH A CHAINSAW. She pulls a long, extending cable from the back of her neck and offers it to him. ]
Don't say I didn't warn you.

there it is plugged in
somehow.] I'm sure I've been through much worse than what you have to offer.[if you thought mr johnson was a bad boss..........]

But afterwards is the swell, feminine chime of 'Of course, Mr. Johnson!'
There's a stoic, scientific man, only briefly, tall and chisled, and seemingly dying. He's stupidly confident, and there is only synthetic admiration for him.
The next visuals are from outer surveillance cameras. Several scientists at once, prodding and poking at the large behemoth, the feeling of barriers being placed---and subsequently broken.
Silent footage shows them all collapsing, struggling for air, until the room is still. A shapely looking head perks up, looking around before the footage cuts out.
Another human stands in the footage, just one, in a red scarf and pencil skirt. The video is dated much, much earlier than the previous entries.
The sensory information cuts out suddenly, all remaining feeling ceasing. ]
And they all lived happily ever after.

maybe the trust that glados even doing this for him means as well. maybe. not really.]
Fully deserved, I'd say.

[ She makes do unplugging herself, because let's not leave the lingering image of a lonely chassis in the AI room there for too long. It's not a very nice image. ]
We've come so far since then too.
[ The protoype retches open underneath her fingertips, her eyes scanning the walls in a mechanical fashion for something suitable to drill holes into her new toys.]
There. There's your trust.

Progress marches on and all that.
[that gets a small grin out of him.] Then you could consider us even.

[ Ah, this device would work. Still quite large, it'll do just what she wants. The only hurdle now was the bonding agent for the microfilaments, as well as getting her fingers to open the way she wanted. A panel on her left forearm lifts open, and she removes several small devices, one for each finger. ]
Who does the customization on you, I'm curious.

We can do it ourselves. Or go to a medic slash chop shop! Cybertonian frames are highly customizable.

If you did, then you get major brownie points for your dexterity. I'll even put it on your file.

[he lays his hand down near her and activates all the little medical tools he has stored away in it. scalpels, blowtorches, etc.]
These, however. Had to be installed by a third party. They're standard issue for medics.
