[Here's Cinderella, who's pouting a bit while fiddling a bit with the watch she got from Vector Prime.]

Ugh! I'm so bored! There really isn't that much to do around here other than get the Hell out of dodge when something dangerous comes this way.

I hate to admit it, but I need some kind of job before I go insane. So, what's out there that a girl like can do to help out?

Also, while I'm on here...

[She turns a little so that her shoulder is facing the camera. Since she's wearing a cap sleeve blouse, her glyph is visible for all to see! And there is a faint green outline around the gold.]

Can anyone tell me what this green around my glyph means? It wasn't there the other day. I'm really hoping that it's not some kind of alien infection.

Not something desirable when there are violatile samples about, even if I mostly work with rock and metal ores. There's some energy research in the hopes of solving the Lambda so we can use it to go home, as well.

[That, admittedly, is going about as well as mercury flows like water, which means not at all. He sighs and shakes his helm before putting that thought aside.]

He's... ah. The type of individual who's very... er, persuasive. He has plans and ideas and if you can be of use or are useful to him, he'll be... very interested. [He shrugs, not quite comfortable with discussing it, but he's also not not going to say what he knows.]

If it's not your strength or interest, probably, yes. But if you are interested, I believe there's a few around that might be interested enough in teaching.

[He nods and, reluctantly, continues.]

Taking some... ah, care in what you say if you do end up talking with him might be an idea, especially as he has no problem trying to give you what you want as long as he gets what he wants too. [Jetfire smiles a little dryly.]

Perhaps I am being somewhat uncharitable here, as I've not had a bad experience so far with Liege. But I take care in what I... er, agree to nowadays, as once being pulled into a situation I later didn't agree with at all was enough.

[He shakes his helm briefly at the mention of magic, even if he has seen enough to know that it exists - if only as a manipulation of energy of some form.]

... Greedy horndog? [That phrase is enough to confuse him out of the thought over magic, and hope you enjoy the sight of a confused-looking cybertronian, Cindy. Then he snorts slightly.]

And that situation was... well, we've been involved in a civil war for a long time. Back before things got really bad, the original... ah, philosophy seemed reasonable enough, especially as we were quite contained to our planet and I didn't see why we couldn't expand out if for no other reason for the scientific research. [Jetfire grimaces.]

To be honest, I knew it didn't feel precisely right even back then, but I convinced myself it wasn't enough to not join, and also allowed a friend to convince me to join the side I later left.

I just wish I hadn't made the mistake.

[The only thing that hadn't been a mistake in that was the part that had wanted to join because he didn't want to be shooting at Starscream and wanted to see him safe, but well... that was still not a good enough reason overall.]

... Ah, yes. It does. [that does get a brief, dry smile out of him - it seemed the Link has issues with translating metaphores if you already don't know them (which makes sense, the same goes for their own language learning programming).]

Indeed. If I was less honest with myself, I'd say the time it took me to decide might be a mitigating factor, but making the wrong choice is still the wrong one, and I stayed with that faction for longer than I should have.

[Jetfire shrugs. He'd joined both for himself and Starscream, stayed far too long for Starscream only.]

I suppose I should merely be grateful I had the opportunity and ability to switch.

... You have... ah, experience with a similar situation?

[Nodding, Jetfire sighs.] I see. Never a situation I'd wish on others, having to deal with it directly or through those you know. Is it over, at least, or are you still fighting?

[He hopes they have at least managed to stop said tyrant so that that worry might be over.]
angleofscience: (smile - as predicted!)

I'm Jetfire. [Have a small smile and a nod.]

And that's a relief. At least you don't have that worry hanging over you while here. [Another, drier smile.] But it's always unfortunate that getting rid of the head usually won't atrophy the body automatically. Hopefully, however, there'll be no one effective enough to take the space vacated?

... Sleep enchantment? [You'll have to forgive the slight edge to his voice, even if he's learned magic does exist.] A... ah, practical way of keeping them out of the picture, certainly.

Temporary until the situation's stabilised, or has that have to be the whole solution? [It could happen, after all.]
angleofscience: (dubious scientist - er really?)

[Oh, he doesn't. AT ALL. His (concious) stay on Earth equals perhaps a day, and most of that was spent very busy. The other place he's been didn't exactly have Earth fairy tales to read up on.]

I--- what? [Jetfire stares, optics flaring a little before he collects himself and rubs his chin.] I... have had to accept through the evidence of effects created through manipulation of some energy... magic, as others call it, but.

This seems a bit... improbable.I don't see how a kiss and less one tied to... ah, true love, can be tied to ending the... enchantment?

... How does one even quantify and qualify what... er, true love would be?
angleofscience: (no one else finds this strange?)

[After a moment, Jetfire sighs and shakes his helm.]

I suppose it would make sense that someone well-versed in its use would be more familiar with the inner workings of it.

It's just... er. [He gestures with one hand, aimlessly more than anything. Magic, why.]

If I could care less about how this might be easier, but that is... not quite who I am. [Jetfire shrugs and chuckles briefly.]

[he chuckles at that, the nod as much an admission of "guilt" as dryly amused.]

I am, yes. It's proved somewhat... frustrating when discussing phenomena like this, but I can't just stop.

[Another angled smile.]

I would say to not worry about it. You tried, and I thank you for that, since a lack of user-level insight and a healthy wariness to something that isn't predictable is perfectly understandable.

If I can find any materials relating those here, I'll do that, then. Perhaps Starscream might know... and there is the library in Alpha Trion's temple.

[he hums thoughtfully and then shrugs.]

Thank you.
