Oh come on!

[ that is the distinct sound of metal smacking against metal at the moment. apparently someone in the clinic thought that it would be a good idea to shut them all in - Sora included. the teen doesn't really appreciate this. and his great idea? hit the door with his Keyblade. yupp. ]

Let! [ smack ] Me! [ smack ] Out! [ smack smack! ]

[ with a frustrated sigh, it sounds like he's giving up. ...well smacking the door with his Keyblade isn't really doing any good. only leaving scratch marks, really. he even slides down the side, arms crossed and looking frowny. ]

I think it's okay to unlock the door... Or at least let me out! Don't tell me that everyone has a panic attack that bad.

We have plenty of energon, real one. We don't need the formula. [Seriously, it's so hard to understand?] We had it back home too. Don't you try to justify your need of self satisfaction telling me all this was for the greater good. If I know about something, that's selfishness.

[Knock Out grumbles as he finally manages to connect the needle with the other mech's arm. That will keep him fueled as he works on the injuries.

He was not expecting Sora to climb him but it's not the first time a human did that to him and he's more curious than surprised. After watching the spell being cast he just grins.]

...and this is why he works here. Little smart thing, isn't he Ratchet? Now stop acting like a protoform, you are a grow up doctor.

[Knock Out really has no idea what did just happen but it didn't look harmful to Ratchet and he likes to boast about Sora. Credit where credit is due, the boy kept an ace up his sleeve.]

You okay there, Kid? [The medic tilted his head to stare at Sora. Boy you look tired.]

[ THERE. FINALLY. a little bit of recognition. is that really so hard to ask for? when the Keyblade dissipates, Sora looks at Knock Out with a nod. ]

I'm okay.

[ he's really just got to get the kinks worked out. his attention turns to Ratchet and he does look a little apologetic. smiling, but healing magic always seems to take a little more effort than attack or defense magic. and since coming here? even more is needed, so pardon if the exertion takes a little bit of the fight out of him. ]

It's a healing spell, pretty much. If I thought I could handle Cura or Curaga, then I might've been able to fix it all the way.

[ but he's not stupid enough to try it without getting a grip on a simple Cure spell. 8V ]

So, uh... Just calm down so you can all patched up, okay? Ratchet? [ tap tap foot. that means YOU stop agitating him too, Knock Out. ]

I am calm! He's the one who's harping at me for even pursuing the formula!

[He settles on the berth nearby as his energon levels stablize thanks to the needle in his arm. He frowns and stares at his lap. Everyone was so against the idea of synthen. It almost discourages the medic the more and more he hears about it from others.

He rubs at his browhelm and slumps his shoulders.]

Thank you both. For your help.

[Ratchet says quietly as he looks down at his arm. The green tint in his optics looks to be fading away. But he looks a little exhausted still.]

Maybe Synthen is a lost cause. It's not like to can benefit the organic lifeforms here either. [He gestures to Sora.] It wouldn't be exactly fair, given our current predicament.

[If a little bit of praise and recognition is what it takes to keep Sora out of trouble Knock Out will remember that. He' s not buying the rushed okay answer thought and he wants to ask about what did the boy do with his key. However, he has a more important matters to take care off.]

Does that spell work on any living species? [Knock Out would argue that he's not agitating Ratchet, he's giving a well deserved scolding. But that can wait and he's surprised that Ratchet actually thanked them.]

You are very welcome. [He instantly seemed less annoyed.] Maybe you all are just doing it wrong. You need to think outside the metal box from time to time, doc.

[Knock Out says that in a way that's not encouraging not persuading Ratchet's experiments. He started to work on the other robot injuries, taking care of the deepest ones.] Did he attack you with a chainsaw or...?

Sure does.

[ work on living things, that is. Data, dreams, monsters... Anything he can think of that lives, yes. Other than giving Ratchet a smile and a nod in return for the offered thanks, Sora is going to fall silent. All the better, really. This way he can focus on where his footing is to keep balance on the red mech's shoulder while paying attention to what he's doing. Well, that and the kid can listen in on the conversation. ]

[Ratchet gave Knockout a pointed look as he pulls the needle of out his arm with a small wince. He stands up and rubs the side of his helm, venting a small sigh.]

He knocked me onto the ground with a blow to the side of my head. We had a bit of a scuffle, and after I took the Synthen, I was able to damage him.

[He flexes his right hand.]

The police force should be able to find his trail. Hopefully.

[He looks back to Sora and points his finger at his Keyblade.]

Do you have other contraptions like that?

[deadlydoctor]

Don't do that! [He grabs the needle, looking at Ratchet exasperated.] You still need it. I swear to Primus, you are worse than Starscream and that's saying a lot. Your head?

[Cue, Knock Out's hands moving to inspect Ratchet's helm. He can't pay much attention to Sora when he moves so he hopes the kid has a good hold on him.]

[ Knock Out moving around like that makes Sora grab onto one of those weird ear looking thingies the medic has. He ALMOST misses the question from Ratchet. Almost. Instead he looks at the guy, blinking. ]

Like what? My Keyblade? Uh... No?

[ well technically he can summon two, but... ]

I've got potions and stuff, but no other weapons.

Ep, ep, ep! Leave my head alone! Just a small dent, that's all.

[He shoots a glare at Knock Out before glancing back at Sora, blinking owlishly.]

A... potion? [Sounded like something out of a fairytale of some sort.]

Who's the medic in charge here? I will decide that. [You get a full inspection, sir.]

Ey, ow! Kid what are you...? [Are you really grabbing his ear, Sora, really? He would shake his head but he doesn't want to make Sora fall look like some sort of dog.]

A potion for what?

Geez... Do you guys always fight this much? It's like watching little kids...

[ seriously. Both of these guys. Don't they ever stop? There's nothing wrong with just sitting down and sucking it up for a doctor, and there's no reason to get huffy either. It makes him roll his eyes. ]

Also your moving around a lot, Knock Out.

[ and he is a little tired okay? ] But potions do the same thing as a Cure spell.

We aren't fighting!

[He says as he paws Knock Out's hands away stubbornly.]

Knock Out! If anything, it's merely cosmetic!

[Ratchet crosses his arms and turns his attention back to the Keyblade wielder.]

So it's a smaller version of what you just... casted. In portable form. I wonder how someone managed to do that.

We aren't fighting! [Knock Out repeats, almost at the same time as Ratchet while he paws back at the hand. Mature bots doing mature things, ladies and gentlemen. Then he looks horrified, as if Ratchet just said that he eats protoforms in his spare time.]

There's no such thing as 'merely' when it comes to aesthetics. [He's aware that this is a lost battle, though. He finishes checking the last of the injuries on Ratchet's side, welding a few spots to stop the bleeding and then moves a hand towards Sora.] Climb.

Ask the moogles... Pretty sure they're the ones that synthesized it.

[ again, he goes to rolling his eyes. these guys... they can say they aren't arguing, but they totally are. it also doesn't surprise Sora that Knock Out is worried about appearances of all things. it's something that he might be leaning more towards Ratchet on, not that he'll voice it.

with a sigh, he does as KO instructs. no idea what the robot is getting at here, but no arguments. enough bickering going on as is. ]

[He lets him do some welding to his side and rolls his optics.]

It's all about function. Not aesthetics, Knock Out.

[He glances up at Sora as if to say, 'really? you WANT to work for this guy?' but he does respect his choice. But dealing with this, every day? Ratchet wouldn't be able to stand it.]

[Knock Out want's to make sure you don't fall and break your neck Sora. People might blame him for it. When the teen climbs on his hand he lowers it and pulls it closer to his chest. once this conversation is over he will drop you in a berth. Or a box. Or wherever you young fleshies sleep.]

This is not about functionality vs aesthetics. Why chose when you can have both? And before you try to stand up...don't, you can not leave anyway. The clinic is in lock down, you need to recover and the other Ratchet's still outside. Probably torturing some other poor soul.


[Right because working for Ratchet would be so easy.]

but here Sora thought that Knock Out had been about to put him on the ground and send him on his way. imagine his surprise. well maybe you don't have to. it kind of shows on his face as he looks up to Knock Out.

then his gaze turns towards Ratchet. Sora just offers a little smile and a shrug. Knock Out really isn't that bad, okay? ]

Or maybe someone's found him by now...

Somehow, I doubt it.

[He crosses his arms, skeptical.]

I know the police force have been working hard. But he escaped from jail once before. What's from stopping him from escaping again?

[It will even have cushions if you behave.

Knock Out looks back down briefly but says nothing. Don't you say anything either, kid. It's not like he cares or anything.]

I'm not risking it, not until know where is is. There's other patients in the meday, if he got inside he could get creative with them. No one wants to wake up with unwanted upgrades or missing limbs.

[Knock Out reaches out to open one of the cabinets and then offers Ratchet a cube of energon. He nudges Sora with his thumb.] Are you hungry too?

[ he snorts and shoves at the digit a little. Knock Out's totally ruined his indifferent reputation in Sora's eyes. ]

Since you're keeping me here? Yes.

[ looking over at Ratchet, he gives a lopsided smile. ]

Maybe they'll be smarter about it this time?

[He scoffs and takes up the cube of energon, sipping from it.]

Let's hope they'll lock him up for good.

[Ratchet says as a small shudder runs through his frame. Unwanted upgrades, missing limbs... that's not what Medics were for. His grip tightens a little on the cube as he thinks about it.

Well, at least he was able to get a hit in on the maniac.]

[Shhhhh, nonsence Kid. You are seeing things. He pokes Sora back, because why not.]

I must have some organic food around. Maybe. [He totes does, because Issac and Rose were both sick for a while and recovering int he clinic.]

Don't break it. [That was directed at Ratchet. Knock Out noticed the tension in his frame.]If you break it you clean it. Do you want me to call Bulkhead or Wheeljack?

Somehow I don't think those police guys will. They don't seem like the "putting a stop to it permanently" types...

[ but that's how he sees it. Sora shrugs again, dodging that poke. 8T Knock Out, he is ticklish. stop that.

then he laughs, his next comment a joke. ]

Maybe there just needs to be a dungeon somewhere.

No, I'll call them myself when I have time. For now, I need some rest.

[He takes another drink, which calms the Autobot a little.]

I don't think a dungeon would stop a bot like him. Plus, I'm sure he's made plenty of allies since he's been here, who are more than willing to help him.

Putting a definitive end to mechs like that Ratchet will only make them come back in a week. They should find a way to lock him somewhere forever. A dungeon doesn't sound like a bad idea.

[Knock Out looks down again and raises a brow. What was that laugh, boy? He softly pokes Sora one more time, on his side.]

He's as bad as Airachnid and the insecticons, if only we had the pods...
