Video; Transmission from: Nexic Quadrant

I have been curious lately, about a few things. I pulled out my PDA - [And here, he pulls it out and wags it a little.] - to check a few things. The map is still useless, it is stuck on Pripyat back home and cannot find me. The journal works though, and so does the Geiger Counter.

And I know this because a lot of you Cybertronians are radioactive. Especially the two that are very pointy, the ah. Red and silver ones? I think I could maybe follow your trails if I tried.

[Strelok shrugs then, leaning back and smiling slightly.] I thought it was interesting, anyway. If any humans starts getting nauseous or dizzy you should see about getting some anti-rads, maybe. I am not sure how it would affect the non-humans, I am afraid.

How can we possibly be radioactive? [He doesn't understand ·A·] Who's the pointy red mech you meant?
raceme: (Distressed)

[personal profile] raceme 2014-03-04 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
How...unexpected. I'll have to check my own radiation levels then. [It's admirable how he's so chill about something that could potentially lead to his death.]

Mirage? You mean him and Sideswipe.

Yeah...we knew of the affects that our energon would have on humans back home. So we never let them get directly exposed to it. Especially the kids who were around us all the time.

[personal profile] neverputincharge 2014-03-05 07:36 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, but the kids were often ridin' in us and around us. They didn't seem ill affected. One of the people we knew was a government agent, and another was a....nurse. Think if they thought the kids would be badly affected, they'd be allowed nowhere near us.
originaldragoon: (Hm? Curious/concern)

Radioactive? What does that mean exactly?

[This is a completely new concept for her and she would like to know more about it considering it could make her sick.]
invisiblepinkboat: (May be invisible - important opinions)

[personal profile] invisiblepinkboat 2014-03-05 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
That's not actually surprising, given how voilatile energon is, and it is our fuel source [And if she knew to tell it, also what they're - sort of - ultimately made of.]... Not that I know if I am particularly radioactive, since you said it varied, but energon in itself does have radiation that can be deadly to us if it's in its raw crystal form.
invisiblepinkboat: (So many tangos - which one first?)

video;

[personal profile] invisiblepinkboat 2014-03-05 11:40 am (UTC)(link)
[That makes her laugh as she nods.]

It rather is, isn't it? And I think I'm fine, but yes. Being careful around the crystal form of energon is always a good idea. There's the liquid variety around here naturally, which is far less radioactive to us, and so is probably as safe as it's going to be for you, but the crystal version packs quite a punch.

[Then the upper ridge of an optic arches.]

Of course, given that energon's violatile enough to be explosive if not handled with some care, you should always be careful around any energon, even the fully processed and refined stuff in cubes.

I have worked closely with a human for one of Earth's years... Surely I would have noticed if he had experienced radiation poisoning from being in contact with us.

[personal profile] loyalflier 2014-03-05 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Still... Perhaps that is something we should look into. I really wouldn't want to inadvertently cause anyone harm.

[personal profile] treacherous_widow 2014-03-06 08:49 am (UTC)(link)
That's not really surprising. We had issues with Energon radiation back home but it just never affected the organics.
treacherous_widow: (TM2: Not too shabby)

[personal profile] treacherous_widow 2014-03-08 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
It depends on the form the Energon is in. I was stuck on a planet full of unstable Energon deposits. The over exposure from the radiation started to overload our circuits if we were out of beast mode too long.

Trust me, it was never a pleasant experience.
