Video; Transmission from: Nexic Quadrant
I have been curious lately, about a few things. I pulled out my PDA - [And here, he pulls it out and wags it a little.] - to check a few things. The map is still useless, it is stuck on Pripyat back home and cannot find me. The journal works though, and so does the Geiger Counter.
And I know this because a lot of you Cybertronians are radioactive. Especially the two that are very pointy, the ah. Red and silver ones? I think I could maybe follow your trails if I tried.
[Strelok shrugs then, leaning back and smiling slightly.] I thought it was interesting, anyway. If any humans starts getting nauseous or dizzy you should see about getting some anti-rads, maybe. I am not sure how it would affect the non-humans, I am afraid.

It rather is, isn't it? And I think I'm fine, but yes. Being careful around the crystal form of energon is always a good idea. There's the liquid variety around here naturally, which is far less radioactive to us, and so is probably as safe as it's going to be for you, but the crystal version packs quite a punch.
[Then the upper ridge of an optic arches.]
Of course, given that energon's violatile enough to be explosive if not handled with some care, you should always be careful around any energon, even the fully processed and refined stuff in cubes.
video;
Though I will do all of my shooting far away from energon anyway. Just in case.
video;
[Grinning, Elita shakes her helm.]
Or, if you do shoot at energon, be at a safe distance. It might actually be a good idea, even if I shouldn't encourage wasting it like that, to find a reservoir and shoot it. See how it reacts.
Might be useful, if there's any combat near them and you can't move.
video;
[Strelok seems to consider the advice, nodding slightly. Combat advice is always welcome.]
I will have to keep that in mind in case of a firefight. Though I will try to keep from blowing up too much of that. Just in case.
video;
[She's curious. It's really no different than some of the "flora" they had, though most of it consisted of crystal growth or things built up from energon evaporate. Not all of it, however.]
I think we'd all be appreciative of that. [there's a slightly grim smile.] While we didn't have much of a shortage in my reality, there was still some, and I've noticed that shortage was worse in others...
It doesn't look like that would happen here, and I think there's enough knowledge for there to be backup plans, but I think no one would want to.
On the other hand, knowing how and when to use energon and its explosive qualities is always a good thing.
video;
[Considering he found it trying to snack on those fireflies the FirstForged released almost a year ago.]
Then we are all lucky that I am not one to contribute to shortages. Times were lean where I lived and I would not ask anyone else to go through that, especially here.
Not unless that it what they were already prepared for, anyway.
video;
Something you've had to experience yourself, then? [There's sympathy in the question, as she understands the problem well. Not as keenly as others have, in other realities, but they did still have issues of energon shortage.]
video;
[Strelok shrugs a little, though. That life was his choice and he'd grown to mostly enjoy it. Being low on food all the time and all.]
But such is life in the Zone. We decided to live like that, the ones of us that were there.
video;
[She tilts her helm, curious.]
Why would you choose it, though, if you didn't have to live there?
video;
As for why I would choose that life... I wished to know everything the Zone had to offer. Others went there to find treasures and make money, or for fame or adventure. Sometimes to escape from their past.
video;
Curious by nature, then? And I'd wonder why people would forego security or safety for the chance of a high-risk reward, but I already know the answer to that.
[Another dry grin.]
If you believe the risk is worth the reward, even possible death won't stop some.
