1st Roundup [Video]

[The video feed comes on, and guess who happens to be peering down at the Link. How in the world did an Earth Pony manage to get a video feed up? It took a lot of work. Really. It did.]

Is this thing runnin'? I ain't sure...

[She squints a bit and leans a bit closer and then shrugs as much as a pony can. She's not her usual cheerful self, but who would be after a wake up like that?]

Well, anyway. Th'name's Applejack. I just woke up in this here temple. Even after talkin' with that there...acolyte? I still ain't sure what in the hey is goin' on here.

Can anyone tell me if there are any other ponies here? I'm concerned about my friends.

It's been absolutely terrible here! I had to go comb through a junk pile to find the proper shampoo and makeup! Can you imagine? These delicate hooves walking through garbage?!?! I ruined my beautiful coat for this!

And the worst possible thing is that there's no one here who appreciates my fashion! What's the point in wearing pretty clothes if there's no one to show them off to???

[Its almost laughable, but all AJ does is smile at her friend.]

Rarity, you of all ponies should know how I feel about dirt 'n grime.

[The remark about fashion does get a snicker out of the Earth Pony.]

And how I feel about fashion. I'll be able ta help ya out when it comesta findin' supplies, so ya don't have ta ruin yer mane or somethin' like that again.

Uh..there's only one other, uh...pony I've seen here. Called Rarity.

Rarity happens ta be a good friend a mine. She's found me already, but thank ya kindly for lettin' me know she's here.

Good to hear. I'm sure she's glad to see somebody from home here. She's been here for months, with nobody else from there here.

Wait just a darn minute...months?! But I just saw 'er a couple a days ago.

Uh...yeah, months. [Oh boy, how to explain this one.] Yeah...that's what happens. Time works differently here, then it does back on our worlds. Some even show up from different times then others from their world.

[Ya, you've lost her. Poor AJ. She doesn't even understand how magic really works in her own world, how can she understand stuff like this? She's quiet for a few minutes and looks to be trying to figure it out, but then she just shakes her head and gives a friendly smile.]

I ain't even gunna try ta figure that one out. Don't really matter now, I'm here and Rarity ain't alone anymore.

I think that...acolyte said it belonged ta Nexus Prime? I didn't really understand a lick of what it told me.

And I somehow got a second Cutie Mark. Though ifin I remember right it don't act like a Cutie Mark.

Not...sure what a cutie mark is. But one of the marks on ya, on your shoulder, is your glyph. It shows which Forged you're with. In your case, Nexus.

But, yeah...the glyph's a good thing. [He's doing his best to keep it simple.] Means you won't turn into a monster.

All ponies in Equestria have a Cutie Mark on their flank. It can be just about anythin' and tells what that pony's special talent is. My Cutie Mark is apples, 'cause I'm a member of the Apple Family an' I love workin' with tha apple tree's on tha farm.

Ah...uh, alright. Well the Glyphs don't do anything fancy like that. They just protect you, and I said, show which Forged you're with.
