Ugh, it's always handcuffs!

Someone come and get me out of these things; Blurr slapped some kind of cuffs on me and I can't even move now.

He probably wonders how you end up in handcuffs so often, for a police officer.

[He crouches down, and picks up Gunmax's hands in the cuffs, looking them over. The design is completely foreign, but there aren't many buttons so one of them has to work.]

Why can't you move? [Because if that is a function of the cuffs, this might get tricky.]

You know, the first time was his fault. I don't hold responsibility for that at all.

[Gunmax remains completely limp, mostly because he has no choice.]

I'm not really sure. Blurr called them stasis cuffs. Can't you just break them?

[Since you were being...strange, that day.]

[He presses it, and hopes that it's for cuff-release and not for, say, electroshock therapy.]

No. Not at all. I didn't do anything wrong that day, you know that!

[He huffs a little. Sure, that day had turned out well, but Kirisaki is still a sore spot.]

Well, I suppose you could.

[Fortunately, the cuffs open and Gunmax is released. The biker immediately rolls his shoulders and gets to his feet.]

[He chides, a little. It's a gentle chiding, but there it is.]

Tch, had my reasons. I was sort of being accused for crimes and such while I was innocent.

[He knows. He doesn't take it personally, despite what it factors into.

Gunmax flashes McCrane a cocky grin.]

[They'd have listened to your reasoning, he feels...but he also knows that you didn't know that at the time. It is understandable.]

At least call for backup before you end up handcuffed next time? [He stands, but keeps hold of the cuffs. These seem worth looking into, if they can keep Gunmax still.]

[He shrugs. Not a great topic at all.]

I dunno, I doubt anyone would have backed me up on this. Sometimes, you need to go solo.

[He stares at you for a moment...but then nods. It's been resolved already, anyhow.]

[Oh, there might be some wry-ness here.]

At the offer, though. Gunmax pauses and leans his head to the side. Then he frowns to himself.]

Gunmax clenches a hand and looks away.] Feh. Nothing to say.

Deckerd wants me to meet with him. I should get going.

[So there is something. He had barely had a hunch before, but this...]

[When Gunmax looks away, McCrane reaches out and puts a hand on his shoulder, watching him for a moment as if debating what to say.]
