[Video] Backdated to a few days ago

[Sari is sitting on the floor of her room, surrounded by the wrappers and plates of various half-eaten meals. She looks miserable, ill, and almost gaunt, huddling under a blanket and clutching a styrofoam cup of instant noodles to her chest.]

Guys. Guuuuys. I don't... feel so good.

I think I'm sick or something.

[She moans pitifully, before chucking the cup away into the nearest trashcan with a hiss of disgust. It sloshes everywhere, still mostly full and uneaten.]

I'm soooo hungry.

[Whoa, human child in trouble! BRAVE POLICE TO THE RESCUE.]

Miss . . . can you describe in what way you're not feeling well? Maybe it's something you ate to begin with...

[She shrugs from her blanket, fingers clawing at the cloth restlessly.]

I don't think so? I'm so hungry, but nothing fills me up or even tastes good. I just...don't feel right at all.

Where are you? I'll take you to the medbay. You should really get checked out.

I'm Deckard, by the way. With the Haven Police.

Um. Hi? I'm Sari. Sari Sumdac...

[She shrugs, not entirely enthused with the idea of going to the medbay despite her obvious problem.]

I guess? I'm in Nexus' temple.

I imagine it wouldn't hurt, anyway.

I'm on my way.

[She only thinks about it for a moment, before shrugging and typing in her room coordinates.]

...yeah. Okay.

[After that, Sari waits in her room, not moving out from under her blanket. She gives eating another shot at one point, gnawing unhappily on a granola bar, before it too is discarded.]

[Deckard arrives, knocking on the door before letting himself in. He looks around at the plethora of food items strewn about, frowning in concern. This isn't a child being picky, something's definitely wrong. He crosses the room to her, crouching and reaching to gently scoop her up in his hands even as he nods in greeting.]

Good afternoon, Sari. Let's go see if we can get this figured out for you.

[It's the first time she's seen another being in person since she got 'sick', robot, human, or otherwise. She stares up at him for a long moment, dazed; something about the metal and energy contained within pinging the back of her mind, like an itch that was impossible to scratch.

Her stomach, despite it's previous rebellion, gave a growl.]

...uh...

[When his hands near, she snarls - and without a thought, attempts to

bite him.

...While possessed of more jaw strength than a 'normal' human should be, it is still a completely useless endeavor, but she attempts it none the less, blunt teeth clanking down on metal.]

Ah!

[The attack startles him more than anything, her bite doing no damage at all to the side of his smallest finger. He's more worried about her having hurt /herself/. And…what WAS that? He'll try to get a hold of her, gentle but firm.]

Sari? What was that for? What's wrong?

... I hate to point it out, but unless humans can get sick in a way that means you don't want to eat, there is... a lot of food around you.

[It might be an obvious observation, but it doesn't exactly seem like Sari's paying attention to that, and well, this is pretty worrying.]

It all tastes gross and nothing I eat can fill me up!

[She growls her words, tugging the blanket further down over her head sullenly.]

Odd... [She shakes her helm, frowning.] I don't really have any expertise in the workings of human bodies, otherwise I'd suggest something.

The only thing I can suggest is... medic? There must be some of those around here that have made sure to educate themselves about humans, since we have a small population of you around.

I guess? But a lot of the doctors I knew here are gone now and...

[She grumbles something about 'needles' and 'stupid nosy doctors' from under the blanket before her voice rises up again.]

...And being super hungry is just really dumb and weird!

All the more reason to try and find someone else now, before you need a doctor for something more urgent.

[She can still hear you, Sari, but all she does is tilt her helm and smile faintly at the grumbling. Apparently whining about doctors is something pretty universal.]

Maybe it is. But better check it up and find nothing's odd than sitting on something that might become a real problem even if it seems silly now. [Her optics narrow in thought.]

And if you keep not actually eating anything, or much, for a longer period of time, you're going to have issues regarding not actually getting proper... nutrition, right? Since humans need more and more varied food.

[Sari huffed from under her blanket, hands crumpling fabric petulantly.]

I guueeeesss.

[She wasn't even trying to hide her whining any more]

[Elita just looks at Sari for a moment, but she's learned that humans that small are young and still have a lot of experience to get, so she just shakes her helm slowly.]

I could come over and we'll go over to the medbay. If nothing else you can look if there's anyone you'd want to meet properly with later.

...Yeah, sure, if you wanna?

[She didn't bother to even try sounding enthusiastic, even with her voice muffled from under the blanket.]

I'm coming over, then.

Try to eat something else, at least, even if you don't want to? How long has this been going on, anyway?
