I am painfully reminded why trips like last night are not worth it the following day... Why anyone thinks that is a way to really solve problems is beyond me.

[ voice sounds rough. likely going out with Kagerou had not been the best of ideas... who would have thought, right? no plans on leaving his room today. nope. ]

My processor feels like it is splitting apart... Apologies if I snap at anyone who knocks on that door.

Even if he didn't actually want to talk to Starscream because he had no idea what to say and inbetween focusing on his targets and obliterating them (or just hitting them with the rifle) Cliffjumper was thoroughly embarrassed over what had happened over the past days.

[Which might explain why he was outright snapping at Starscream and a second away from just turning the Link off in the middle of speaking.]

[ man it takes a lot to work up the nerve to reply to this. there are plenty of conflicting emotions regarding the last few weeks... one of the reasons for last night is that Starscream doesn't want to think too hard on them all. he doesn't even want to at this moment!

it's making his processor hurt more. ]

I'm fine... Just too much high grade, I think.

[ which is telling. Starscream doesn't DO that sort of thing... but Starscream winces, ready for being berated for being dumb. ]

[The smirk deepens for just an instant.]

[But . . . he's not without compassion.]

Here, this might help.

[He dims the lights and closes the curtain on the window...well, most of the way ~~claustrophobia's a bitch~~ enough to cut the light into the room quite a bit. Then he'll come back over with a small cube of energon. Don't worry, it's normal grade.]

Here, you don't want to let your tanks get low. Being quiet will help too. Just try to rest for about a joor or two, and you should start feeling better.

It tastes funny...

[ might sort of be refusing that cube at the moment. but the dimmed lighting helps. at least it doesn't feel like someone is trying to hammer his helm into Oblivion...

but Starscream is acting a little petulant. so sue him. ]

[It's amusing more than anything. He's dealt with his OWN Starscream in very close proximity and over extended periods of time for VORNS. This, he can handle.]

Not surprising. Your systems got a little too used to the high grade, I think. Come on.

[For all his seeming nonchalance, he's pretty gentle as he gets an arm and shoulder under Starscream to help him sit up a bit and drink.]

Fragging--- [Groaning, Cliffjumper slumps back. Well, at least there was nothing worse even if that had been stupid. But that's Starscream's preorgative and now that he knows the mech is all right, he... has no idea what to do now.

He shouldn't have checked in. He should've made Blurr do it and then ask him if Starscream was okay.]

That's... er. Great. That you ain't actually hurt or anything.

[If the situation was normal he'd probably be sniggering over Starscream having gotten himself overcharged enough his processor was still aching with it. Right now, though... right now he feels stupid and has no idea if he should apologise for having behaved like an idiot while affected by what might have been some strange energon or just snarl and turn off.

Which means he just ends up staring at the link, scowling in silence.]

[ good. because this Starscream being a weh weh isn't anything like THAT Starscream having a good weh weh about something. this is mostly pouting and grumbling, even when being helped to sit up. ]

All energon here tastes funny...

[ at least this time he doesn't refuse to drink it, even if he makes a little face after. ]

[ thought what he is sorry about is pretty darn vague. it could be about making CJ worried. Starscream doesn't like doing that...

or maybe it's about the pink energon. Starscream is so confused by the whole ordeal and knows that it's not easy for Cliffjumper either - especially since Blurr's stunt with the library. he doesn't want things to be hard on the little red guy. ]

[Even if that sounded like a good idea, somehow. But he'd gone for letting loose with his rifle and cannon instead.]

Starscream... I'm--- I mean. [His engine stutters, and Cliffjumper hisses. He doesn't know what he was about to say, or what to say.

He feels stupid, he can't think about the last few days without squirming in embarrassment and... maybe... some circuits warming at the remembered kisses and that just... doesn't fragging belong here! How was he supposed to face Starscream with that knowledge?]

[ they both can't talk. this is... awkward. why should it be awkward, though? it's just energon. others had been acting just as out of character, right? right? so they should just be able to forgive and move on...

He's just... hesitating about doing it right now, because just disconnecting while Starscream's not there seems wrong, somehow. But if he waits, it'll probably just get even more awkward.

I spent some time with him too. I didn't get overcharged but I am no role model either.

It... Doesn't take much for me.

Miserable. I expected it. So I'm not going to complain.
