[There's a new face on the com link today. A woman with dark black hair that seems to have life on its own, blue skin and red eyes with a yellow sclera that stare at the screen with a piercing look, smile never faulting. She's beautiful in the same way a fire is beautiful. Get too close and you might not make it out alive.
She's floating on mid air at the top of Prima's tower, wispy smoke where her legs should be. Unlike other newcomers she listened to the basic explanations of the acolytes and then left to explore around the Haven and learn from herself.]
I suppose it was only a matter of time before such a thing as this came about the cosmos, an inter-dimensional portal malfunctioning, dragging us together.
[Doesn’t that alarm her in the slightest? No, not at all. She was bothered by the black marking on her arm but her annoyance didn't last long. Eris feels Unicron's presence in the planet, another chaos god, another destroyer, lurking around the corners of the weaker minds here...It makes her smile. It's not every day that she crosses paths with one of her own kind.]
Precious little mortal puppets, how I have missed interacting with you all. This place is the most beautiful chorus of anguish I've heard in a millennium. Insanity, destruction and strife, and all that without my help. Oh and most of you aren't humans, that’s even better. Who knows what you could do, there are so many possibilities…I’m going to like playing here.
I’m the Goddess of Chaos and Discord. You know me. You’ve seen my work before. You’ve most likely felt my power at some point in your life.
Call me Eris.

Until we can be sure there's no war, how to defend yourself and use weapons, but otherwise... what doesn't you teach, or at least make sure new individuals know? How to behave among people, to people... basic schooling...
[Another shrug before Elita's helm tilts, the upper optic ridge of one optic quirking. Oh no, Eris, you're not getting a straight answer for this. Even if there'd been an Optimus present on the planet.]
I don't think so. But you'd have to ask the Firstforged about that, and they're not present. Given that many of us come from different realities, there're many variations... [Shrug.] Who knows. But the one from my reality is certainly not here.
no subject
So you rise warriors. Do you also practice things like music and arts too?
[She's just asking. What could an innocent goddess of chaos want to do with a device that gives you so much power?
Nothing good]I'll ask the acolytes. You are not worried that without the Matrix your race will eventually grew old and disappear? If you can't make new metal men...
no subject
[Bit of a quirk to her optic ridge again before she smiles slightly.]
Of course we do. Of course, you get less chance of that during the war, but that doesn't mean we didn't and still don't practice or teach it.
[Uh-huh, sure, lady.]
Just because there's not one here now doesn't mean there won't be in the future. Other realities have their own ways, I'm sure this one will too.
[But it's not as if she's going to make any further suggestions of what they might be, if she knew. She heard what you said earlier, Eris, and, no.]
no subject
I am really curious now about what sort of music or art you people makes. Could you show me one day?
[/innocent whistling~]
They say there's always hope after all. [How wrong are they.]
no subject
And while I've never really played it myself, I've picked up a few recordings... and I'm sure more can be found in the Junkpile, too, so it shouldn't be impossible.
[Then she grins, sharply.]
When one reality can defeat a deity of chaotic annihilation and destroy the aspect of it in that reality, I'd say there almost always is some hope, yes.
no subject
I'll check there then, see if I find anything interesting.
[She's starting to really like you, Elita.]
Was that deity Primus? The robot monk mentioned him and Unicrom but I didn't pay much attention to that other name.
How the hell did I miss replying to this...
I can share what I have as well, but it's not a lot.
[That has her snorting, amusement blooming up as she shakes her helm.]
Unicron, not Primus. Unicron is the deity that doesn't just consume planets and literally so, but, apparently, realities as well.
Pff it's fine so I did
Not a lot is more than I already have I'd like that, beautiful.
[She needs to laugh more.
Eris snorts as well] ....men.
:'D
Hopefully you will enjoy it, too.
.... Though I admit, I don't get that last comment.
[Curious, Elita tilts her helm in inquiry.]
<333
I'll let you know.
You are lucky then. where I come from men can't get over their constant need of make everything about themselves and they are always trying to compensate something. They pull stuff like that too. Unicron seems to be no exception.
no subject
Interesting. [She chuckles and shakes her helm.] While I know a few mechs like that, I'm unsure Unicron counts among it... we call him 'he' mostly for convenience, though I don't exactly know why he was doing it...
He did mention something about returning to the void.
[Shrug.]
no subject
Interesting is a good word to use. You have no idea how the men, for lack of a better words too, in my family behave.
And the void is...?
no subject
And that, well... nothingness? What do you get if a reality is annihilated, leaving nothing behind?
no subject
Easy. You build a new one.
no subject
I'm not sure it works like that here, but... ah.
[She's amused anyway, even if, behind that, she can tell that that just implies a certain... disregard for life. Well, just another tally then.]
no subject
No? news to me.
[Really. Chaos and creation, that's how ti works for her.]
no subject
[Then she snorts.]
Well, even if you can replace something lost with a new one, the lost material is still lost, isn't it? You can't just make more. And what's lost can't be duplicated either.
no subject
Who says it can't be duplicated? You are talking to a god, we can do everything. [Okay maybe not everything but she will claims that they can.] That's why we are called gods.
no subject
[There's some incredulity to her tone, though it's also a question.]
Maybe, but that still, obviously, doesn't mean there aren't limits... otherwise the fight against Unicron in my reality would probably have gone differently.
no subject
[Eris can't say is surprised. It's hard to believe.]
Oh there are of course. That's why it's so important to push them. You fought a god? How did it go?
no subject
I was pretty sure the limits would be there for a reason? And we did. Well, I wasn't there, but I doubt there's not a single cybertronian in my reality who knows what happened, present or not.
[Shrugging, Elita frowns.]
Primus manifested, but since most of his power was bound up in Cybertron, what defeated... pushed Unicron out of our reality, was another device that carried some of Primus' power in it.
[It's probably better to not be too specific.]
no subject
The limits were set to break them. Tell a scientist there's a limits, tell a mage they can't do something, ask a cat to behave...some things just won't happen. Respecting levels is one of those tings with gods.
Your gods need devices? That's really curious.
no subject
And I believe the device was used not just for a few other things, but to partition up Primus' power and presence to lessen the chance Unicron locked on to him. Fighting each other directly apparently didn't work.
[Knowing such old history exactly is something few does, anymore.]
no subject
What's that device called? And who has it now? It could be really dangerous.
no subject
[Elita snorts, and then gives Eris a considering look.]
The Matrix. I don't think there is any version of it in this reality currently.
[And even if it was, even if an Optimus was around, she wouldn't tell her he might have one.]
